Wedding bells rang out on Halloween for 1000 lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton and her beau Brian Lovvorn!
The couple exchanged spooky “I dos” on the scariest night of the year, inside the Talbott Tavern, a supposedly haunted historic restaurant and inn in Bardstown, Kentucky. Amy and Brian were surrounded by family and friends, including Amy’s sister, Tammy Slaton, who was interestingly not part of the wedding party.
“Last night was truly unforgettable! thank you to everyone who helped make our wedding dreams come true and for celebrating with us!” Amy wrote on her Facebook page on Saturday. “I’m beyond excited to see what the future holds for us! Growing old together, hand in hand, with love that only grows stronger.”
As The Ashley previously reported, Amy and Brian got engaged in a haunted house (naturally), and Amy was adament that she and Brian tie the knot on Halloween. In an interview with People, Amy said she and Brian felt it was non-negotiable that they also get married at a ghostly location.

(Although Amy had played with the idea of getting married at a local haunted hospital, she told a friend on Facebook that they chose the Tavern because “the hospital won’t let us get married there on Halloween because they do tour.”)
Speaking of scary situations, “1000-lb. Sisters” viewers will remember Brian mostly for the hijinks that played out on the show’s most-recent season. Back in September 2024, Brian was with Amy when she got arrested for drug possession and child endangerment after getting bit by a camel at a Tennessee safari park. Amy and Brian were both treated to “his and hers” handcuffs and hauled off to jail together.

Despite the camel bite arrest hijinks, the couple has moved forward and Amy told People she’s happier than ever.
“Getting married means that I’m no longer lonely because I’ve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place!” Amy told the magazine. “Once you get to know him, you’ll find him to be the sweetest, most caring person you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing! Not only did he capture my heart, but he also won over my boys and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!”
Amy confirmed that the wedding was filmed for the upcoming season of “1000-lb. Sisters.”
“I’m excited for them to finally see my ‘Brady Bunch’-like loving husband! And that my kids are wonderful and that I’m a boss wife!” Amy said. “I have a husband who will go outside and play sports with my boys… I adore how he inspires me to be a better version of myself! How he prioritizes my well-being and that of my boys, selflessly putting our needs before his own! He is always enthusiastic about exploring new horizons with us or simply enjoying quality time indoors, playing games with the boys!”
Here are some details about Amy and Brian’s big spooky day.
Wedding Party: Although Amy’s sister-in-law Brittany Combs and sister Amanda Halterman were bridesmaids, Amy’s sister Tammy was not included in the wedding party.
“Selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge,” Amy told People. “Yet I intuitively knew that my extraordinary friend Ollisha [Davis] (Lee Lee) would graciously accept the esteemed honor of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.”
While the bridesmaids wore long blue dresses, Tammy was photographed off to the side, wearing a sweater and jeans.

Amy’s two sons, Gage and Glenn, were also included in the wedding party. (As “1000-lb. Sisters” fans know, this is Amy’s second marriage. She was previously married to Michael Halterman, whom she divorced in 2023. Michael is the father of Amy’s two sons.)
Officiant: “1000-lb. Sisters” fans may recognize the man who performed Amy and Brian’s wedding ceremony as Billy, the family friend who also officiated Tammy’s 2022 wedding in 2022 to her late husband Caleb Willingham.
Vibe: Amy told People that she wanted an “old-timey” feeling to her wedding, stating her vision was “Victorian meets light gray meets dusty blue and white.” Amy hung her own artwork around the Tavern.
Bride’s Look: Amy wore a white gown with heavy beading for her big day, along with a crown and veil. She also dyed her hair at her husband’s request.
“Brian wants me to have pink hair for the wedding, and I want to have a Victorian style updo,” she said.
Food: At the reception, guests enjoyed a Southern meal of barbecue pork and country-fried steak. The couple chose to serve a unique cake that featured a “geode-style” swirl of three flavors: bananas and cream, cookies and cream, and salted caramel dark chocolate.
“I’m getting married to a girl!” Tammy said, adding that she and her fiancé (who was later revealed to be Andrea Dalton) wanted to get married at Waverly Hills, a tuberculosis sanatorium that closed in 1961, but is now a museum that does ghost tours, due to the property’s high level of paranormal activity.

I thought it was Amy that said this, not Tammy.
He inspires you to be batter and is worried about your wellbeing but he was caught doing dr*gs with you at the zoo while your own kids were tugging along. Such a Prince Charming!
I get a feeling this dude is not someone you want around little kids.. yes, I said it
I know this is about Amy, but it is so unbelievably good to see Tammy has been doing so well in her weight progression. Good for her. It should serve as an inspiration to others also struggling with obesity.

Never in her life would Amy talk like this. I doubt she knows what half of these words even mean.😂
I don’t know any human who really talks like that. lol She obviously did an email interview and People’s editor didn’t catch the AI use.
