Amy Slaton is walking down the aisle once again, as the 1000-Lb. Sisters star confirmed this week that she and boyfriend Brian Lovvorn are engaged to be married.
While both Amy and her sister Tammy Slaton quietly revealed on YouTube in March that they are both set to tie the knot, Amy officially announced her engagement this week on social media.
In the video– which was filmed while Amy and Brian were riding in the car– Amy told fans that she and Brian had “a special thing” for them, before confirming that they are engaged to be married.
“He first proposed with a Ring Pop and jokingly, we were having fun with friends, you know, and stuff like that, so I didn’t really think it was real or anything,” Amy said. “And then he actually proposed in a haunted house.”
“So yeah, we are getting married on Halloween and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and have y’all watch our journey and becoming a flourishing family … ,” she continued.
As The Ashley previously told you, Amy’s relationship with Brian was featured in the Season 7 trailer for “1000-Lb. Sisters.” Brian is also the man Amy was with in September when she got arrested for drug possession and child endangerment after getting bit by a camel at a Tennessee safari park. Amy and Brian were handcuffed and hauled off to jail together for their crimes.
While Amy and Brian are planning to become a “flourishing family,” Amy confirmed this week that she and Brian won’t be bringing any more children into their family– aside from their pet snake– despite fans seeing the two discussing the idea of having a baby together in the trailer for the new season of “1000-Lb. Sisters.”
As fans know, Amy shares two sons with ex-husband Michael Halterman, from whom she’s been divorced since 2023.
Tammy is also engaged. As The Ashley reported, she revealed that she is set to marry her girlfriend at Waverly Hills, an old tuberculosis sanatorium…as you do.

Why does Mama June come to mind…oh right, if drugs and reality tv cash weren’t readily on hand I would seriously question this man’s intentions.
I’m sorry- I’ll likely get downvoted, but I don’t like Amy or Tammy- They both are not the brightest, they don’t take care of themselves properly and they are just strange at the very least. Amy needs to chill out and focus on herself and her kids- not a dude. Plus, this guy doesn’t seem like a great influence and she really has no idea what he’s capable of. She also seems to think she’s a celebrity when she’s D list on her best day. Just my opinion
I would expect nothing less from an idiot who doesn’t put her kids first. She got engaged to her first husband within a week of knowing him. She has been with this guy for 2 months, already introduced him to her kids, is moving in with him and got engaged.
Let’s not forget that when Amy and Brian were arrested they had drugs openly in the car with her two toddlers in the backseat. Their initial charges were simple possession of schedule I and schedule VI, Child abuse and endangerment. She took a plea as so many do so the child abuse and child endangerment was dropped. She has said on the show that she has chronic pain so she had “a little bit of pot” in the car. She left out that they had hallucinogenic mushrooms out in the open. What if the kids accidentally got it?
And they got away with it! Blame the judge for dropping the child endangerment charge. wtf???
Is her ex involved in the kids’ lives? Because he should go to court and get full custody. You can’t leave your kids with a couple of junkies
