Anna Johnston is opening up to tell her side of the events shown on this week’s episode of “7 Little Johnstons.”
In a TikTok posted on Tuesday night, Anna detailed her recollection of her niece, Leighton’s, first birthday party and Thanksgiving 2024, both of which were shown over the past weeks on the show. Anna was filmed celebrating Thanksgiving by herself at home, while the other six Johnston family members were shown having Chinese food for their holiday meal together.
“Of course, I was not invited,” Anna told her followers on TikTok. “Of course, I was not told or anything like that […] They made a whole scene that they had Thanksgiving all together and obviously, that was all for TV and probably just to bring up my name five billion times.”
Instead of joining in on the festivities, Anna was shown sadly eating her Thanksgiving dinner with her two dogs.
In the episode, Anna’s mom Amber confirmed that none of the family reached out to invite Anna to their family get-togethers, both on and off the show. Following a social media feud between Anna and her sister Elizabeth over Elizabeth’s daughter’s birthday party (stay tuned for that), Amber revealed that the family had “decided to not reach out to Anna and officially invite her to Thanksgiving.”
“She’s lived in our home long enough and has been a part of our family long enough to know what we do [for the holidays]. If she wants to be a part, she can come be a part,” she stated.
In another scene, Anna’s dad Trent claimed Anna chose not to spend the holiday with her family, something Anna disputed in her TikTok.
“I was not invited, I was never told about the Thanksgiving on the back porch, so how is it my choice?” she said. “It’s crazy how they can mention my name five billion times. Y’all must be really thankful for me.”
Additionally, Anna shared her side of the drama surrounding her niece Leighton’s birthday.
In case you missed it, in November 2024, Elizabeth posted photos to her Tiktok of her daughter’s birthday party and when fans asked why Anna was not present, Elizabeth replied, “She was invited but didn’t show up.” Anna then screenshotted the interaction and, in an Instagram story, wrote, “For anyone wondering, I was not invited to the birthday, because I definitely would have gone regardless of the situation! It breaks my heart that I was not invited and couldn’t see my family for a special day.”
In this week’s episode, Elizabeth maintains that she does not have a TikTok account and the account that was interacting with fans was someone impersonating her. According to one of Anna’s confessionals, “[Elizabeth] put it on me and said, ‘You know when Leighton’s birthday is. You could have come [and] showed up.’”
In her TikTok, Anna insisted that the TikTok account actually was Elizabeth’s because they all followed each other “back when we were still family […] We knew that was her TikTok.”
She then called out the mixed signals about whether or not she was invited, because on the show, Elizabeth explained that Anna was not invited, but the TikTok comment alleges that she was.
“At the end of the day, I would have come,” Anna admitted. “It’s my niece’s birthday party and no matter what, I would have came.”
Anna also revealed that the Johnstons’ very Chinese Thanksgiving was a phony.
“In real life, they did not do Thanksgiving like that,” she said. “They did Thanksgiving at my mom’s family’s house; that was told [to me] by my younger sister [Emma] because obviously, we were talking still around that time.”
(As The Ashley recently reported, it appears that Emma may want to rekindle her relationship with Anna. In the comment section of a recent post to her TikTok account, Emma stated that she felt “trapped” by the situation with her sister, and that she didn’t know how to make up with Anna.
“I wish it were that easy to say but unfortunately not,” she wrote.
When another fan encouraged Emma to stay friends with Anna because “she needs you,” Emma replied, “I think I need her back” with the sobbing crying emoji.
Elizabeth, Amber, and the rest of the Johnston family have yet to comment on this week’s episode or Anna’s recent claims.

I’m annoyed every time Anna says she “would have come” to something if she was invited. She was invited to Alex & Emma’s high school graduation but did she show up?? NOPE. It was an entire stadium, she could have went to support her brother and sister and not even run into a family member but she’s a POS and a liar.
The Johnston’s are a nice family. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. But the family deserves to be given some grace. All the nasty side chatter doesn’t serve anyone well, so why all the negative comments??? Life is short and trying to change past indiscretions impossible. All a person can do is own up to their mistakes and forge ahead to a more positive path. Let this family find their way to forgiveness and repair of broken communication. I pray for reconciliation and brighter tomorrow’s. Trent and Amber are good parents who love all their family, regardless of the stumbles some have had along the way. Just please not add to the issues with all the negative comments. It is unfair and unnecessary. Wishing Elizabeth, Brice and sweet baby Leighton many happy years in their new home. Wishing all the other Johnston clan the very best life can bring to each of them. Hang in there….. there are many other’s who support you. A friend in Baltimore.
These parents disgust me to the core of my being, trying to trap their children at home so they benefit. I hope all their kids get out from under their thumb.

Amber’s problem with Anna is cause Anna was the only one in the family that knew Elizabeth was pregnant, amber don’t like the fact that Elizabeth didn’t go to her.
All this stuff that they’re coming up with as a excuse is bs.
The underage person was only just under age and Trent and amber said they were responsible for the person, so why didn’t they pick them up instead of them dumping them on Anna.
How many TLC families have imploded once the curtain was pulled back? By my count it’s four, the Gosselins, the Duggars, the Browns and now the Johnstons.
I forgot the Rolloffs, Angry Amy and Misery Matt, that’s five.
Anna has constantly caused her family problems and they just want to hold her accountable and and can’t handle that. Even the provided alcohol to a minor thing, she wants to gloss over it on TV but her parents won’t.

Cancel this show, and give Anna and Emma their own show. I can’t stand Trent and Amber and their lazy ass, no reason for them not to be working. From the looks of it. it looks like Elizabeth is going to be just like her mom, a nasty slob. Anna, make sure TLC is paying you directly, don’t let your so called mom and dad touch your money.
Nobody except those directly involved know the actual truth. I don’t think either side is being 100% honest. From the beginning of this series, Anna has made numerous bad decisions. From drinking & having s*x, lying, and the most recent supplying a minor with alcohol. She has always gotten extremely defensive when called out on things. Amber and Trent are trying to keep trouble away from the rest of their kids. They went through hell and back with the oldest when he was doing drugs, and numerous times prior to that and since then with Anna. Emma and Alex reached out but haven’t heard from Anna since the night they met for dinner. Anna is playing the victim card AGAIN.
The oldest was smoking vape shop delta 8. Not drugs.

I don’t know why they feel the need to constantly lie about Anna being invited to things. I must have counted 10 times that Amber, Trent and Elizabeth said Anna isn’t here BY HER CHOICE. They emphasized the 3 words over and over. It’s ridiculous.
