Garrick Merrifield’s exes and Seeking Sister Wife castmates are speaking out following the controversial TLC star’s recent arrest for domestic violence.
As The Ashley told you last month, Garrick– who has starred on ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ with wife Dannielle since the show premiered in 2018– was arrested November 24 for Domestic Violence stemming from an incident involving his second wife Lorrana. (As fans of the show know, Garrick and Lorrana tied the knot last year and welcomed their first child together in July.)
Days after Garrick landed in the slammer, TMZ revealed the affidavit for his arrest warrant, which stated that Lorrana had informed police that Garrick took her phone away during an argument because she threatened to call the police on him. She went on to claim that Garrick not only refused to allow her to contact her family in Brazil, but also threatened to call Immigration & Customs Enforcement on her. Lorrana also informed police that someone had disconnected the Wi-Fi in their home, which she suspected Garrick may have done to further prevent her from making outside communication.
Garrick went on to bond out of jail on the same day he was arrested and days later, a mandatory protective order was issued, preventing him from contacting Lorrana. Following Garrick’s arrest, both he and Dannielle wiped nearly all photos of Lorrana from their respective social media pages, though it’s unknown if Dannielle played any part in the alleged events that resulted in Garrick’s arrest.
In the wake of Garrick’s trip to jail, two of his exes and former ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ stars took to social media to weigh in on alleged incident, with both notably dropping the word “justice” in their statements.
Roberta Rodrigues, who appeared on the TLC series as one of the Merrifield’s potential wives in Seasons 3 and 4, sounded off on Garrick’s arrest last week, referring to the father of four as the one “who tried to knock me down.”
“The justice of God never fails!” Roberta added.
Nathalia Lima, who appeared alongside the Merrifields on Season 5 of ‘Seeking Sister Wife,’ also spoke out in the days after Garrick’s arrest, telling followers, “I’m so grateful to God for protecting me from violence against women.”
“I hope justice handles cases like this with the seriousness they deserve, and that one day all women can live in peace,” she continued. “We can’t take this anymore.”
On the latest episode of The Sarah Fraser Show, it was reported that a friend of Nathalia’s– who allegedly spent time with the Merrifields while they were visiting Nathalia in Brazil– revealed on social media recently that she witnessed Garrick being “manipulative” towards Natalia. The alleged friend also accused both Garrick and Dannielle of being “aggressive” and “crazy as hell.”
While Garrick’s exes– and at least one of said exes’ friends– seemed far from shocked by the news of Garrick’s recent arrest, he has at least one person in his corner. (Well, two if you include Dannielle, who is undoubtedly standing firm by Garrick’s side for reasons we’ll never understand.)
Reise Williamson, who appeared on the latest season of ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ with his wife Billie Jean, also chimed in on Garrick’s arrest after he was asked about the incident by a fan on social media.
While Reise admitted that he and his wife never actually met the Merrifields in person, he said they spoke to the couple after being cast for Season 6 and claims Garrick and Dannielle were helpful and “very, very nice” to him and his wife. Still, Reise ensured that fan that he doesn’t condone Garrick’s alleged actions.
“ … I definitely, you know, am very disappointed in those DV charges,” he reportedly said. “However, you know, innocent until proven guilty, so I don’t want to speak on it or anything, but obviously we don’t condone that and that’s not, you know, what we stand for so it’s unfortunate. I hope it’s not true.”
Despite his recent arrest, Garrick seemingly remains on the hunt for another storyline wife, as a Reddit user recently came across his profile on a dating app. In Garrick’s (alleged) bio, he describes himself as a “loving and kind and passionate and caring man” whose ideal partner is someone “open to a big family and ok with being in a plural family.” Garrick also notes that his ideal partner will be “okay with being in the public eye.”

Ick and Danielle are both creepy af. Who bailed him out? prob Danielle.
He is truly the most vile person on any TLC shows and so is Danielle. It is pretty obvious he is trying to sell his BS as “God’s message” and his wife is an active and willing participant. They prey on women from these other countries because they know some may desperate to get out of situations where financially life is hard.
The fact that Danielle’s parents participate for a roof over their head is mind blowing. Way to go mom and dad!
Her brother and sister in law “seem” to be the only ones who are not okay with it all but only because they are financially vested with their business.
And if I never have to hear Danielle calling her “sister” again like she’s speaking to a 12 year old, I will be forever happy. The way they both speak to her as if she is a child is ridiculous.
I wish this man could be arrested on creep vibes alone.
Ick’s creepy derp face and blank stares freak me out. The way he and his divorced wife go after women that don’t speak English makes my skin crawl. Ick uses God to excuse his perversion, and that’s just gross and wrong.
You would think they would learn the new wives language.

The only one with a grain of common sense is Reese. Innocent until proven guilty people.
What’s wild is that If you think about it, there is about a 0% possibility that this beautiful Brazilian young woman fell so madly and deeply in love with Goofy Garrick that she gave up everything she’s ever known, including her family, friends, home and work, to come share a bedroom with Danielle for the rest of her life.
Don’t we look at the reality of that situation. There’s no possibility she was there for them.
What’s more likely is that she had a plan all along. Because it’s impossible that she fell in love with these people. The plan was that she doesn’t have to play the game after she has a child. She could put up with it for that long.
She even found a way to get the man out of his own home in the process. Now she just gets to wait for court to award child support which will be enough money for she and her baby to live comfortably in Brazil for the next 18 years. No possible way that she was there for love.
If you know that to be true because the alternative is outrageous, then you look at it from a different viewpoint. That’s why I say the man should be given some Grace until we find out in a court of law what actually happened. All I can say is that I hope that he had cameras set up catching the scene because telling someone they’re going to call immigration, why would he do that after years of trying to get a Brazilian wife? Why would he say that to her? I can imagine that she told them that she was not staying with them and that she was there for nefarious reasons and just admitted it. The reaction of what he said isn’t so horrible. There’s no way goofy is beating his wives. She’s a grown ass woman and instead of just simply leaving them and taking their money through the court system, she’s going to put this family through this pure hell and ruin their chances of even being on the show because she could care less. She’s going to get hers and she’s leaving.
No way in hell. She was there for what we thought, to be with goofy for the rest of her life. Sharing a bedroom under the watchful eye of Danielle. No possible way.
Everyone’s just looking at this incident all wrong. Look at the whole picture. There’s no way this was real. They are an easy Mark. They wanted love so badly that they became an easy mark.
Natalia was a nasty person and they broke up because she was pissed that his wife was pregnant. Of course she’s going to say nasty things about him.
Roberta stole their 10,000. I mean come on. Stop giving these people credit just because they’re a woman. Women are criminals also.
To answer your question as to why he would threaten to call ICE, that’s actually a common tactic that abusive partners use to control or manipulate their immigrant partner. Lorrana actually can’t move her baby to Brazil without Garrick’s permission. The US child support case would not be automatically enforceable in Brazil.
What your saying is true but you act like he was in the relationship for good wholesome reasons. They both used each other for something. So its not surprising it ended bad. They should not have been together in the first place & HE is more too blame for the relationship starting. He could have kept his dick in his pants with Danielle but no HE seeks foreign women. Why do you think he does that? For control
He couldn’t even keep his dick in his pants until they got married. God told him to have sex with these women on the first day they meet in person.
TLC only pays the Americans and leaves it to them to be ethical and pay their foreign partners. Roberta was owed every dime she got and more.
It’ll be interesting of Garrick catches other charges . Like fraud in regards to the divorce, and trafficking in regards to importing Lorana to the us for not obly marriage, but bigamy
