“No, HE’S in contempt!”
David Eason‘s court hearing with his ex-wife Jenelle Evans is just a few weeks away and the fired Teen Mom 2 dad appears to be fighting back against Jenelle’s recent motion to have him held in contempt of court. I
In fact, David is now asking the judge to hold Jenelle in contempt of their divorce court order, claiming in new court docs that Jenelle has refused to pay him more than $9,000 she owes him, and has not returned items she had been court-ordered to give him!
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that David filed a motion in court late last week asking the judge in the case to throw Jenelle in the slammer for her “willful” refusal to abide by what the court ordered her to do back in July when she and David settled their divorce.
“The Defendant prays…the Court attach the Plaintiff, Jenelle Eason, with contempt of court and imprison her as long as the civil contempt continues,” David’s motion— which was obtained by The Ashley— reads.
As The Ashley previously told you, David was awarded Jenelle’s BMW, as well as a 2001 Jeep Liberty in the divorce settlement in July. David claims in his motion that Jenelle “has failed and refused to surrender possession” of the cars, as well as several other items she was ordered to give him. In his motion, David claims that Jenelle has refused to give him his drum set, a rifle part, turbo engines for his broken-down boat (which he was also “awarded” the divorce), and some tools.
In addition, David claims Jenelle has not returned her wedding ring to him as she had been court-ordered to do, or given him his important documents such as his passport, tax documents, etc. that are in a safe in Jenelle’s possession.
David also claims that his former First Lady of the Swamp owes him more than $9,000 in payments that she was due to start making to him back in August as part of their divorce settlement. (As The Ashley told you at the time, Jenelle was ordered to pay David a monthly distributional payment of $33,450 over the course of seven months. The court order states that the monthly installments could not be less than $4,778.)
David states in his motion that Jenelle failed to pay him the monthly installments for August and September. (He did note, though, that he was paid the installments for October and November.)
“As of the date of the filing of this motion, Plaintiff has made only two payments in October and November 2025, and has failed to remit the required payments for August and September…” David writes. “The Plaintiff has not complied with paragraph 3 of the Consent Order by failing to pay the amount due or any amount of the monthly payments set forth in said Consent Order.”
David claims that Jenelle is now $9,557.30 in arrears.
As punishment for her alleged contempt, David wants Jenelle imprisoned, and asks that she be forced to pay his attorney’s fees, and that she pay for the cost of him filing this motion.
As The Ashley previously told you, Jenelle filed a motion against David in October, asking the judge to hold him in contempt. She demanded that her former swampy soulmate appear in court and explain why he has failed to pay off loans and debts he acquired from their divorce settlement agreement. Jenelle claims in her motion that David has not taken possession or paid toward any of the loans for items he was “awarded” in the divorce.
Because David hasn’t taken possession of the loans, Jenelle’s name remains on them and, because he has not allegedly paid anything toward them, the debts are “now negatively impacting” Jenelle’s credit score.
Last month, the judge in the case seemed to side with Jenelle’s plea, as she issued an “Order to Show Cause,” demanding that David drag himself into the courtroom and explain why he has chosen to deliberately disobey a court order.
Last week, subpoenas were sent to two banks in order to obtain the couple’s financial records.
A contempt hearing to hear David’s motion has been set for January 5. Jenelle’s motion will also be heard at that time, according to court docs. The exes are set to face off in-person in the courtroom for the hearings.
UPDATE! Jenelle responded after The Ashley published this story. In a series of post to X, Jenelle wrote that “some lawyers just can’t do math.”
“Be ready to sort through my screenshots in court,” she added.
When someone advised Jenelle that both she and David are being petty and that the best way to move on would be to do what she’s been ordered to do, Jenelle had some thoughts.
“Exactly, that’s why he should just pay the loan that’s due or take my name off, easy as that,” she wrote on X. “No one is ‘refusing’ to give back anything. I don’t violate court orders. You would think how much money he’s been getting from me he would keep up.”
She then seemed to be addressing David directly.
“And if you want your stuff just ask … wtf ? but ‘refusing’ is reaching a bit much,” Jenelle wrote.

Jenelle is a deplorable human being, and this comment is in no way in support of her, but I’d bet my money that David is in default and is trying to find some backhanded way to get around it. I don’t really think Jenelle is trying to avoid what she was ordered to do and agreed to do. I DO think David bit off more than he can chew and is now trying to find a way to avoid doing what he agreed to. Just my take.

Did we just get the reason why Jenelle had her “body makeover” (AKA, liposuction)? She’s gotta look good for David when they go to court since she can’t get any other guy. As someone else previously commented, I hope Jenelle loses every dime she’s got for playing games with the courts. And David needs to go to jail or maybe even state prison for a while for all the abuse he’s heaped on Jace. Hopefully he’ll be required to do at least 18 months behind bars. He deserves longer, but I’d settle for a year and a half.

This is going to drag out for quite awhile and Janelle will pi$$ away so much on attorney fees. I hope she winds up destitute and he winds up in prison for attacking Jace. That would be the best ending for this train wreck that crashed into a field of dumpster that exploded.
