Tammy & Amy Slaton’s Feud Intensifies on Upcoming “1000-lb. Sisters” Season; Tammy Calls Amy a “Deadbeat Mom”

Why do I feel like this season’s going to end by the producers convincing these two to Jello-wrestle?

Tammy and Amy Slaton are not getting along these days, and the (former) “sodie”-loving BFFs will reveal just how bad their feud has become in the upcoming new season of 1000-lb. Sisters.

In a new trailer of the season released by TLC on Tuesday, Tammy and Amy’s siblings Misty Slaton and Chris Combs tell viewers that the family group chat has become very “lively,” with the sisters throwing “F-bombs” back and forth at each other, even months after their blow-up fight.

“It feels like we’re drifting apart,” Tammy says of her and her sister.

That didn’t, however, stop Tammy from calling out Amy for her problem parenting.

“Tammy called Amy a deadbeat mom,” someone says in a voiceover in the trailer.

“How dare she….and stuff.”

(Tammy’s dig may have stemmed from Amy’s 2024 arrest, in which Tammy was charged with drug possession and child endangerment after getting bit by a camel at a Tennessee safari park. After police searched Tammy’s car— which had her two young children inside— they found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana, garnering her the two charges of child endangerment.)

Amy has had enough of her sister’s hurtful jabs, however.

“I can’t handle her toxic ass no more!” a tearful Amy tells the cameras.

When Chris and Misty encourage Amy to try to smooth things over with Tammy, she resists.

“I’m not going to sit here and have you feed me this bologna when I don’t like bologna!” Amy insists.

“Since when don’t she like bologna?”

While both Slaton sisters are preparing to take the next steps in their romantic relationships (Amy is getting ready for her wedding to Brian Lovvorn, while Tammy’s hoping for a proposal from her girlfriend), things between the siblings are not progressing past their fall-out. In one scene, Amy tells viewers that “Queen Tammy” doesn’t want “nothing to do” with her wedding. (This was evident in November when wedding photos came out of Amy’s big day and Tammy was not included in Amy’s wedding party.)

The new season of “1000-lb. Sisters” premieres January 6 on TLC.

  1. IMO the reason Tammy called Amy a deadbeat mom is because as much as Amy likes to say that everything is about her boys, how she runs after the boys and how her boys are her #1 her actions don’t show it. Even on the show Amy is constantly pushing her boys on her family members to take care of while she just sits there. She had drugs in the car and her and her boyfriend were high with the boys in the car. And worse she allowed her boyfriend to get behind the wheel and drive knowing her boys were in the backseat and knowing he was high. She also knew Brian for about 5 minutes and she moved in with him. That was very love after lockup and 90 day fiancé of her. Get to know someone first before you trust them with your kids and have your kids call them Daddy. Your supposed to be a grown.
