The drama between friends and former Vanderpump Rules stars Scheana Shay and Lala Kent continues, but their four-year-old daughters remain unbothered.
On the latest episode of her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana revealed that her daughter, Summer Moon, is still best friends with Lala’s oldest daughter Ocean, with Scheana reiterating that she doesn’t want her daughter wrapped up in the ongoing drama between herself and Lala.
“I will not involve my kid in the drama,” she stated. “She’s not going to know that [Lala and I are] not friends anymore.”
Later in the podcast, though, Scheana did admit that she’s not sure if the girls’ friendship will last, given that it’s up to her and Lala to help keep it going.
As The Ashley previously reported, Scheana and Lala’s daughters not only attend school together, but are very attached to one another, with Lala previously revealing on Amazon Live that the two are “cute little friends” and have “a friendship that needs to stay incubated and protected to the best of our ability.”
On her podcast, Scheana maintained that, while she wants Summer Moon and Ocean to remain close, she doesn’t know “what’s going to happen with that friendship.”
“We’re applying to some of the same schools, [but] who knows who gets in where?” Scheana explained. “It’s on the parents to keep the kids connected … if we want these kids to stay in touch, it’s like, that’s on us.”

Scheana has also revealed the “boundary” that she’s set with Lala regarding playdates for their daughters.
“I’m not going to be getting together with her to keep the kids friends,” she claimed, noting that she’s attempting to be “better” about holding boundaries with her ex-best friend.
Instead, Scheana said she’s okay with Lala’s brother, Easton Burningham, bringing Ocean over to her house for playdates with Summer Moon, or having her husband, Brock Davies, take Summer Moon to Lala’s home.
“If [Brock] wants to [get together] with any of them, that’s on him,” she said. “I’m never going to withhold the kids from seeing each other. But I have finally figured out what boundaries are, and I’m going to stick with that.”
While Scheana and Lala had been bast frands best friends for years, the first (major) crack in their relationship occurred last year when Scheana was promoting her memoir, My Good Side, which The Ashley has reported on extensively. Long story short, Lala failed to promote Scheana’s book to Scheana’s liking by allegedly only posting once about her pal’s project on social media.
“There was nothing else that she posted,” Scheana shared on her podcast in August. “I had reached out to her a couple of days after all of the boxes [of books] were delivered. Because, yes, you do expect your closest friends to post and support.”
In response to the claims, Lala said she would simply let “Scheana Scheana”– a remark that Scheana admitted she didn’t really like.
“I love her so much, but it’s, like, the subtle digs that I see and I’m like, ‘I don’t really like that,’” she said.
Scheana went on to accuse Lala of not “taking accountability” for why “Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment,” claiming that “friendships ebb and flow” and revealing that the only times she and Lala speak are when “[they] will talk about each other on [their podcasts] and that’s how [they] converse.”
The last time Lala and Scheana reportedly spoke was at BravoCon in November, where Scheana confirmed that the two were “cordial.” Scheana also stated that she still sees Lala at school events for their daughters.
