‘Sister Wives’ Season 20 Tell-All Preview: Robyn Brown Claims Meri Has No Reason to Distrust Her: “I Had Her Freaking Back”

“FYI, Robyn, stabbing someone in the back and having someone’s back are two different things…”

The Sister Wives Season 20 Tell-All wraps up on Sunday with Kody Brown’s only wife Robyn seemingly rewriting history in an attempt to prove that she has always been loyal to her former sister wife and friend Meri.

In Us Weekly’s exclusive clip of Part 4 of the Tell-All, Robyn tells host Sukanya “Suki” Krishnan that Meri has no reason to distrust her, insisting that she’s always “had Meri’s back.”

Robyn, when asked if she thinks she wears to much eyebrow pencil…probably.

After Robyn touts her alleged loyalty to Meri, viewers are forced to take a walk down memory lane back to Season 6– when it was revealed on the show that Meri had been catfished by a woman posing as a man online– as Suki brings up the fact that Meri once admitted that she “leaned on” Robyn during this difficult and “dark” time. In response, Robyn cops to meddling in Meri and Kody’s marriage.

“All I know is that [Meri] was having a conversation online about flowers and texting and music and flirting and I was like, ‘She is struggling, get your butt over there, figure this out with her,’” Robyn recalls telling Kody.

While Meri claimed more than a decade ago that Robyn’s meddling only made things worse between herself and Kody, Robyn stands by her actions on Sunday’s episode, insisting that she was only trying to make things right between Meri and their mutual husband and that she was acting in Meri’s best interest.

“Thanks for that, by the way.”

“She’s sitting here saying that she can’t trust me because of this or that,” Robyn says. “I had her freaking back.”

Kody’s “shy and pretty” wife then explains that she intervened at the time because she was concerned for both Meri and Meri’s marriage to Kody.

“I was sitting there watching everything that was happening and I was worried about her,” Robyn says. “And I was saying [to Kody], ‘She kicked you out and you go stay in another room. You have the conversation with her. You don’t come over here. You go work it out with her. She’s being taken advantage of.’

“Even if I didn’t know it was a catfish situation, even just somebody sitting there taking advantage of someone who is struggling, a woman who’s struggling, I was like, ‘You get your butt over there and you talk to her, you work this out,’” she adds.

“…reached its limit. Seriously, I’d rather talk about Robyn and Kody’s creepy convertible painting than rehash this decade-old nonsense.”

Robyn also notes in the clip that she was having similar conversations with Meri at the time, before getting emotional and proclaiming that her intentions were pure, despite what Meri or anyone else believes.

“If people want to say, if [Meri] wants to say [that] somehow I did something wrong there, that is fine,” Robyn says. “I don’t have a problem with that because I know what my intentions were.”

“I rilly did it out of the kindness of my shy and pretty heart!”

As fans saw in a previous trailer for the Season 20 Tell-All, Kody will also be addressing his ex-wife’s catfishing scandal on Sunday’s episode, with the father of 18 shown shouting about the topic in a clip released earlier this month.

“If your wife’s having an affair, that’s my business no matter what!” Kody yells in the clip while sitting with Suki.

And just like that, Kody’s hairline receded another centimeter…

Despite Robyn claiming that she had Meri’s back amid the catfishing scandal and beyond, Meri– who split from Kody in January 2023– told viewers back in Season 19 that her and Robyn’s relationship “was a good one” that she felt “very solid in,” but at some point there became “a divide” between them. In response to Meri’s comments, Robyn claimed on the same episode that she never felt “a divide” between herself and Meri and insisted that she was always there for Meri, even when others in the family weren’t.

“I always had Meri’s back,” Robyn stated. “Even when people were plotting against her, ignoring her … I never felt a divide, other than when she moved [to Parowan, Utah], that’s when things changed. She changed it after that. But I always cared.”

The ‘Sister Wives’ Season 20 Tell-All concludes Sunday on TLC.

  1. Robyn stabbed Meri in the back from day one, and continued to do it while her other hand was in Meri’s wallet. The fact that Robyn really believes that she was loyal to Meri speaks volumes to her lack of character. I wish that Suki would invite Jen in the room while Robyn speaks, so she could learn how a real friend behaves.

  2. Oh you had her back. You sure didn’t disagree to Meri divorcing Kody so he could marry you “so he could adopt your kids”. Robyn totally broke Meri’s heart and spirit. Yeah she had her back…with a knife in it.
