Stars of ‘The Bachelor’ Franchise Gear Up to Renovate Show’s Famous Mansion & Compete for $100K Cash Prize in HGTV’s ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’

“Move over, aspiring social media influencers, it’s MY time to shine.”

Get ready for the most dramatic (and only) renovation in Bachelor history!

HGTV’s new design competition series, Bachelor Mansion Takeover, will see former stars of the ABC franchise swap their roses for renovation tools as they treat one of the most famous homes in TV history to a much needed makeover.

“Full disclosure, I misunderstood when producers invited me to get hammered in the Bachelor Mansion.”

As The Ashley told you in October, the upcoming series will welcome 12 home design/renovation-savvy former ‘Bachelor,’ Bachelorette, Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette stars back to the Bachelor Mansion to give the famed California property a dramatic overhaul while taking part in weekly elimination challenges that will put their skills to the test. At the end of the six-episode season, one ‘Bachelor’ star will walk away with bragging rights and a cool $100,000 cash prize.

Season 5 ‘Bachelor’-turned-franchise-host Jesse Palmer will handle hosting duties for the HGTV series, while fellow show alums Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron will serve as judges for the competition.

“They had us at, ‘You guys won’t have to wear hard hats or operate power tools.'”

Each week, a guest judge will join Tayshia and Tyler in touring and evaluating the renovated spaces. Guest judges will include designer Nate Berkus, actress Rachel Bilson, former ‘Bachelorette’ JoJo Fletcher, HGTV host and designer Christina Haack, former ‘Bachelor’ Sean Lowe and more.

According to HGTV, both iconic and never-before-seen spaces will be renovated on ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’ including, the bunk rooms, the rose room, the pool area, the mixer room, the terrace and the kitchen.

“For the first time ever, we’re pulling back the curtain and revealing the mansion as you’ve never seen it before,” Jesse said in a press release for the upcoming series. “Our 12 contestants have already lived through the twists and turns of ’The Bachelor’ franchise. They know this is not going to be easy. And the clock is ticking because this renovation has to be finished before a new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ begins.”

“Let’s wrap this up quickly, I have another paycheck to earn.”

Competing on ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’ are former ‘Bachelor’ contestants Courtney Robertson Preciado (Season 16 winner), Tammy Ly (Season 24), Jill Chin (Season 26), and Allyshia Gupta (Season 29). Also competing on the new series are franchise newcomers Sandra Mason and Joan Vassos of ‘The Golden Bachelor’ and Christopher Stallworth of ‘The Golden Bachelorette.’ Rounding out the cast are former ‘Bachelorette’ contestants Dean Bell (Season 13), Brendan Morais and Noah Erb (Season 16), and Sam McKinney and Jeremy Simon (Season 21).

The cast of Bachelor Mansion Takeover

On the series premiere of ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover,’ viewers will watch as the franchise alums test their knowledge in a “renovation math challenge with immunity on the line.” After splitting into two teams– men vs. women– contestants will be tasked with taking over the mansion’s bunk rooms and transforming the spaces into “dreamy retreats.”

“Tensions will rise as both teams quickly devise a plan to revamp their spaces, and the group is rattled when a fate card prompts the first elimination before the design challenge is complete,” the episode’s log line reads.

From finding love to providing free labor.

Once the bunk rooms are brought up to date, former ‘Bachelorette’ Hannah Brown will arrive to help Tayshia and Tyler assess the men’s “Tuscany and Santorini-inspired” bedrooms and the women’s “Mediterranean-style” sleeping quarters.

‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’ premieres March 2 on HGTV. Watch the trailer for the new series below.
