Elissa Finley’s Season 10 Love Is Blind journey nearly ended before it began when the 39-year-old nurse had to be rushed to the hospital after accidentally putting nail glue into her eye instead of eye drops.
As The Ashley told you earlier this month, Elissa– who describes herself as “an acts-of-service kinda girl”– is one of the 32 singles from Ohio hoping to fall in love “sight unseen” on the new season of the Netflix series. While it remains to be seen if Elissa will find love in Season 10, she certainly won’t forget her ‘Love Is Blind’ experience any time soon.

At the end of the first episode of the new season, Elissa was seen crying in the women’s lounge area while surrounded by her fellow female castmates.
“What do I do?” Elissa asked. “F**k.”
Viewers then watched as a medic stepped into the lounge to notify Elissa that she would have to be sent out to receive medical treatment, with the episode ending on a cliffhanger. When Elissa made her return to the show at the beginning of Episode 2, she revealed what had caused her to be rushed to the hospital, while admitting that she was still in pain.
“ … I go in [to the bathroom] and there was a little bottle there, and I wanted to put the eye drops in my eye,” she explained, before revealing that the bottle of eye drops had actually been a bottle of nail glue.
Elissa said she initially feared that she may “lose sight” as her vision was “blurry” after the incident, though the issue was fortunately remedied once she arrived at the hospital.
“When we got to the hospital, they just hooked up an IV bag with tubing and just sat here and just flushed my eye, and the guy was getting the glue out,” she said. “It was so awful. I can’t believe I did that.”
Earlier this month, Elissa had seemingly hinted at the scary incident while giving her female pod squad members a shoutout on social media leading up to the Season 10 premiere.
“I am so grateful for these women I get to do this life chapter with,” she wrote in an Instagram post on February 2. “From then to now, through all the high[s] and lows–I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Y’all don’t even realize the bond we formed walking into the reality TV world together and coming out so close,” she continued. “I can’t wait to see it all unfold with all of YOU. #podsquad10”
The first six episodes of ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 are currently streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop Wednesdays, with the Season finale set to air March 4.
