You can always count on family. In the case of former The Hills stars Spencer and Stephanie Pratt, though, the only thing these siblings can count on each other for is drama.
A month after Spencer announced his run for mayor of Los Angeles, and the same day he was hosting a signature drive to get his name on the June primary ballot, his London-based younger sister took to X this morning to let the world know exactly how she feels about her brother’s political ambitions.
“Spencer has done great work for the palisades. But LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor. A vote for him is a vote for stupidity,” her diatribe began.
“He’s just trying to stay famous and sell his memoir don’t be fooled,” Stephanie posted next, referring to Spencer’s new book, The Guy You Loved to Hate: Confessions From a Reality TV Villian (which you can order with The Ashley’s Amazon Associate Link).
“In an ideal world the palisades would have their own mayor and police department,” she continued.
“I would love him to be mayor of Palisades but not LA with 4 million people. I’d be impressed if a republican could turn LA democrats thb,” she went on, possibly meaning to write TBH for “to be honest.”
Stephanie then alleged that Spencer was on in a cult, something she elaborated on later in the tweet spree.
“At least hire someone with work experience who wasn’t in a cult,” she wrote.
“I’m WORRIED about LA. I have no problem with Spencer playing government but our city needs help. Assbass sucks,” Stephanie continued in a tweet criticizing both her brother and current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.
When people began criticizing Stephanie for turning on her brother, she revealed that Spencer had once allegedly beaten her up so badly that she had to be hospitalized.
“Everyone saying I should support him no matter what. Sorry he beat me when I was 18 & put me in the hospital. So no he doesn’t belong in the government. Run the Palisades all you want not LA,” she shared.
Next, Stephanie brought up how Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag tormented their ‘Hills’ co-star Lauren Conrad.
“And yes fact- I will always be on team Lauren Conrad,” she wrote. “[Heidi and Spencer] spent years trying to destroy her life for magazine covers. I always side with the vulnerable who need help not the people inflicting pain on others.”
Stephanie then accused her brother of getting her addicted to drugs. (In Stephanie’s 2015 memoir, she revealed that she first smoked meth at the age of 14 or 15, and “instantly” became addicted. She claimed she was using meth— and other drugs— “12 or 13 times a day,” even during school hours.
“Almost forgot how it all started- he’s the one who got me hooked on hard core drugs at 15. I’ve kept this all secret for years. He also had a hidden drug addiction. Now do you get he shouldn’t be running LA. Thank you. Amen,” Stephanie wrote.

“Leopards never change their spots. Stay in the Palisades Spencer,” she went on.
Stephanie then gave more details about the alleged cult Spencer was in.
“I’m going to give you a history of Spencer- did anyone know after the cult they went to Costa Rica and were arrested for illegal firearms? He called my dad from jail after not speaking to our family for 8 years bc of his cult, to bail him out,” she alleged. (Spencer was, indeed, arrested in Costa Rica for possession of an illegal firearm.)
“I have no interest in fame. I’m taking a course to become a RBT [Registered Behavior Technician] my passion is helping children and adults with autism. I don’t even use Instagram. I’m serious about my new career helping people,” Stephanie concluded.
At press time, neither Spencer nor Heidi had commented on the posts. Stephanie has received mixed responses from followers on the one posted she allowed comments on.
“I’m so happy you’re speaking up Stephanie! As you should. I’d expose all of it too if I were you,” replied one person.
“You’re such a bad sister,” wrote another.
Before Saturday, Stephanie had been surprisingly supportive of her brother and his crusade to get answers to the causes of and response to last year’s devastating fires in the Pacific Palisades that claimed Spencer and Heidi’s home, as well as the home belonging to Spencer and Stephanie’s parents. The tragedy inspired Spencer’s mayoral bid.
Followers on X were quick to call out Stephanie’s change of heart toward her brother.
Back in December she posted, “Hahahaha MALIBU HATES YOU @CAgovernor and they LOVE SPENCER PRATT!!! #NewScum,” to which someone replied on Saturday, “Wait. What happened?”
In January she took to X to share, “Nothing better than my brother taking space rent free in AssBass Karen’s head. NEWSMAX is the only news that tells the truth. Love that he’s getting more support than the fire-starter bASS”.
One follower asked her today, “You were supportive of him, but now you’re not?” and with another asking, “How did we get from this post to the ones you’re posting a month later, Stephanie? Are you able to fill us in on what changed? It’s a pretty big shift”.
People also commented on Spencer and Heidi’s recent tweets about Stephanie’s anti-endorsement.
On Saturday’s tweet promoting his signature-gathering event, Spencer received a mix of comments.
“Abusive a** clown,” replied one person with a link to one of Stephanie’s tweets.
“Dude you beat up your sister and put her in the hospital when she was 18? That’s f***ed up! And gave her hard drugs at 15?” someone else wrote.
Heidi’s Valentine’s Day tweet/promo for her new single ‘Step on the Gas’ also received a mix of replies.
“U should tell your SIL to stay off social media,” one person wrote.
“Wow bunch of drug addicts according to your own family,” another replied.
“You and your husband are psychotic, and I hope more karma follows you. You lost your house for a reason because you’re evil and you destroy people,” wrote someone else.
This is far from the first time Stephanie has publicly attacked her often-estranged brother and sister-in-law. In an April 2019 episode of the Pratt Cast podcast she hosted with former Bachelorette contestant Wells Adams, Stephanie unloaded on the couple, a decision that she claimed impacted her relationship with the entire Pratt family.
“Things will never, ever be the same,” she said on a later episode of the podcast. “For all I know, my parents have disowned me. … That, and I’ve escaped a very dysfunctional family. … It’s really hard.”
Two years later, Stephanie body-shamed Heidi by sarcastically congratulating her for being pregnant even though she wasn’t. To make matters worse between the sisters-in-law, Heidi had been dealing with fertility issues. At the time, Heidi and Spencer were parents to then three-year-old son Gunner. A year later they welcomed their second child, son Ryker.

At some point the family reunited, with Stephanie close enough to her brother and parents that she was sharing updates from them to social media during the fires last year.
“I am beyond heartbroken for my brother, Heidi and the kids,” she wrote. “And to all of our friends and neighbours who have lost their houses today. Just spoke to my dad — he tried to save my brother’s house but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do. Even the fire station in the Palisades has burned down.”

Stephanie sounds schizophrenic. How can anyone believe anything she says.
I don’t know how much I believe Steph to be a fully reliable witness, but I have always believed Spencer to be on drugs and the things she’s claiming don’t seem to be beneath him. Either way, here for the tea 😂
A secret drug addiction would explain the manic behavior and emotionally stunted personality. I don’t know if he knows this but 2003 was over 20 years ago and so is his fashion.
