Amanda Conner has been dodging online accusations that she’s no longer sober, but that’s not the only trouble the wife of Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards has been dealing with lately.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that Amanda was charged earlier this month for allegedly causing a car accident that caused bodily injury. According to the misdemeanor affidavit of complaint, the accident occurred on the morning of February 3 on a two-lane highway near her and Ryan’s home.
The officer claimed that Amanda caused the crash by allegedly failing to yield to the driver who had the right of way. Although the affidavit did not specify what type of bodily injury was allegedly inflicted— or who the alleged victim(s) was— it was serious enough for the charging officer to order an investigation into the crash.
Amanda was cited for the alleged crime but was not arrested. She has been ordered to appear in court next month to answer for the crash.
(The Ashley also wanted to note that this accident on February 3 was not the one Amanda spoke about in a video posted to her Facebook page. That video— in which she spoke about how her car slid on some ice and was then rear-ended— was posted on February 2. This accident that she was charged with occurred on February 3, so this is an additional car accident.)
This is certainly not Amanda’s first vehicle-related court case. The Sun broke the news that Amanda was actually sued in March 2023 after a car crash she allegedly caused in 2022 left two women in the other car with “painful and possibly permanent bodily injuries.” The women sued Amanda for $225,000 but later dropped the lawsuit, given that Amanda was allegedly “homeless” at the time and could not be served.
Also in 2022, Amanda was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), a criminal charge she later plead guilty to.
Amanda met Ryan in the summer of 2023 while both of them were attending rehab. In recent weeks, Amanda’s sobriety was questioned by fans, particularly after she posted a video to TikTok in which she was speaking very fast and acting somewhat erratic. Amanda— who, like Ryan, struggled with drug addiction for years— insisted this week that she was not high, but simply stressed out and tired.

“[I’m] most definitely sober and [have] been for the last three years, sorry to bust your bubble…” she wrote in response to comments doubting her sobriety. “Now may it be due to stress, anxiety lack of sleep, possibly I don’t know. I don’t know what the hell y’all are even seeing or talking about.. but I’m not worried about it because literally all y’all do is make a[n] accusation.. we have been used to this… so it’s really is pointless.. anyways have a blessed day.”
“I’ve been dealing with a lot of mental health s**t the past month.. and just working on that alone is stressful but still working on it,” she told someone else in the comment section. “I’ll get there still sober. People just run their mouth because something seems off. I mean I get it, but I’m not gonna explain my life, especially my mental health.”

Neither one has actually dealt with their dopehead mentalities, so they’re almost destined to relapse. I’ve seen it happen a hundred times. Putting down the pipe/needle/pills isn’t all there is to it.
I said garbage people below, but dope head mentality is probably even more accurate. I’ve known a few quasi-sober people with the perpetual victim / nothing is my fault / I don’t care who I hurt or how to get what I want mentalities. No conscience. The two that come to mind relapsed hard and died, with school-aged children left in the wake and dealing with the fact their POS fathers chose drugs over them. Both also had terrible driving records too – one lost his license for 10 years and almost didn’t survive a crash.
Hopefully Mimi Jen is helping with Presley and Amanda’s stepmother is a decent person who is still involved with her son. Those kids will need a support system from somewhere.
How do you know that? How do you know what therapy they’ve done or havnt done? Or what they do for their sobriety. Thats a bold statement.
Even ppl who do do all the right things, relapse. It happens. Its what you do after. Im not saying she did or didnt, I dont know but the way ppl speak about her, is how they feel about addicts in general its honestly just gross. Its why I dont talk about my addiction and sobriety with anyone but close family. Stigma.
So in the past 3-4 years, she has caused two serious car accidents causing injuries? She needs to have her license suspended (at the very least!). She is either using again or she is just a terrible driver. Either way, she doesn’t need to be driving.
There is no way that her license will be take away when literal killers still have their license still. It is a joke
Ok. Just because she passed field sobriety tests doesn’t even mean she’s sober. I feel like we’ve all been there. It can be worn off but still giving the body grief, still cluttering the brain. That fog and those leftover tingles. You can be sober and still feel out of it from your last go around.
And that field sobriety may have only checked for drinking when she’s clearly on something else.

I wonder if she has ADHD that she’s trying to deal with without medication? That might explain her horrible driving.
She’s always posting videos while driving. It’s called distracted driving. It’s selfish and she’s going to hurt someone or herself eventually…

Amanda probably carries a lot of unprocessed grief and pain, which explains her extremely hostile and aggressive personality (that she disguises as ”sarcasm”). If an ongoing drug addiction were the cause, there would at least still be the possibility of sobriety and for her to improve into a stable mother and adult. Either way she obviously should not be driving.

Nope! And honestly, I don’t consider people that smoke weed sober either. Anything that alters your mind is a substance. Alcohol is the worst of them all honestly- I am a recovering alcoholic/addict. I’ll have five years in April but I have been 100% clean and sober. Before this stretch of sobriety (which I am hopeful will be for the rest of my life), I had convinced myself I was sober but I had just stopped drinking and everything else BUT I was smoking weed still. I convinced myself it helped my mental health, or at the least didn’t affect it. Totally wrong! Once I actually got Sober-sober, and wasn’t smoking weed either, I have literally seen my life change SO much and so much for the better. I wish I had done it sooner. While I don’t think weed is necessarily a bad thing, and honestly I think if I ever did do anything again it would probably be that (but I could never go back to how I was using it daily) but again, I am moving forward with the intention to stay 100%. In addition to that, let me say this- you can be sober, or you can be sober and in recovery and being in recovery is what will KEEP you sober. There is such a huge difference and right now I think Ryan and Amanda are sober (well, honestly now I am not so sure about her and if she isn’t sober it’ll be a matter of time for him too), they are NOT in recovery and that is dangerous for people like them that have gone to a pretty low bottom like losing custody of their kids and/or having legal issues due to their addiction.
You dont have to be 100 percent sober to be in recovery tho. As if its some sort of sin to not be practicing 100 percent abstinence. It shoved down ppls throats in aa and obviously theres tons of stigma in society.
Ppl can be in recovery, get off the streets, stop doing crime and prostitution, get a job, get their lisence, and build a home foe themselves but still smoke weed sometimes, others can drink sometimes. Its not a one size shoe for everyone.
Personally I am in recovery and I did all that above, plus I am out of the legal system. I have money in the bank. I stopped smoking as much because it gave me anxiety and stopped working for me.. but I am in recovery. I also have a drink litterally maybe twice a year. And my recovery and life is just as valid as someone who’s complelty sober. Thats the thing is that word “sober”. No I am not 100 percent sober.. im also on MAT but I am in recovery. And when I did relapse 5 years ago, it was a TOTAL shitshow and you can tell what ive done for myself and the difference it makes that I stay in recovery. Its dangerous to me to tell ppl theyre not clean and not doing enough. All pathways are valid as long as its working for you. And I also know it can be a slippery slope for some.. but thats a very personal thing.
And sorry I wasnt saying that all to you. Just in general because your comment touched on that too. And im not saying you beilve all of what I said but many ppl do.

What I want to know is how the hell she hasn’t had her driving privileges revoked. Two separate cases in short succession with bodily harm and possible permanent injuries to the victims?! Plus her history of drug and alcohol abuse and how she always drives while doing shit on her phone. Someone is really dropping the ball here. Terrifying to share the road with people like this.

She works nights. So idk if she isn’t using or not but it was early morning and she was heading home. So likely getting off work. She also has a 1 year old baby. It would make sence shes tired.

Considering her son has no one else but her now, and they have a new baby I really hope all this questioning of her sobriety is wrong. And that the scrutiny of everyone questioning doesn’t put the pressure on either of them to use.
Those kids need them both healthy.
And sadly Rhine’s driving record is probably worse than hers. Both are a major danger to everyone on the road and neither should have access to a vehicle. And neither ever shows any remorse for the physical and mental pain they’ve inflicted on those around them. Total garbage people.
Rhine’s mommy probably drove them home from the hospital after their daughter was born since she didn’t trust either of those morons.
