Scheana Shay’s reality TV days may be behind her (for now, anyway), but the former Vanderpump Rules star seems to have an endless supply of Bravo tea left to spill.
On Thursday’s episode of her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana casually revealed that while filming Season 11 of ‘VPR,’ show matriarch Lisa Vanderpump tried to push a love connection between cast members Tom Sandoval and Lala Kent.
“ … [Lisa] tried to get Lala and Sandoval to hook up in Season 11,” Scheana claimed.
“Did you know that?” she went on to ask podcast guest Zack Wickham of The Valley. “Oh, is that not public knowledge?”
“Well, I definitely didn’t [know],” Zack replied. “If it is public knowledge, I guess I missed that.”
As fans of ‘VPR’ know, Season 11 was filmed in the aftermath of Scandoval– the months-long affair between Sandoval and Rachel Leviss that led Sandoval and girlfriend Ariana Madix to call it quits after nearly 10 years of dating.
Despite Sandoval and Ariana– as well as other ‘VPR’ cast members– still dealing with the fallout from Scandoval in Season 11, Scheana claimed on her podcast this week that Lisa attempted to get Lala and Sandoval together during the cast trip to Lake Tahoe– a trip that Ariana opted not to attend.
According to Scheana, Lisa even “called Lala and suggested” the plan to her, though Lala made it clear to Lisa that she wasn’t down for having any sort of sexy time with Sandoval.
“Lala was like, ‘I would sleep with [Lisa’s husband] Ken [Todd] before I would sleep with [Sandoval], let me tell you that,’” Scheana recalled her former BFF saying at the time.
Scheana shared this behind-the-scenes secret this week while discussing former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna’s new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. Scheana told listeners that, while she had just started listening to the audio of the book, she had read some excerpts online, including one in which Lisa Rinna named LVP– her former friend and ‘RHOBH’ co-star– as “the driving force” behind the ‘RHOBH’ Season 6 “Munchausen storyline” involving Yolanda Hadid.
Scheana went on to mention other instances in which Lisa allegedly took part in some behind-the-scenes scheming, including a time when Lisa “tricked” Scheana into working a party at SUR.
This isn’t the first time Lisa has been accused of trying to influence cast members off-camera.
As The Ashley previously reported, Ally Lewber claimed last year that months after she ended things with her ‘VPR’ star boyfriend James Kennedy following his December 2024 domestic violence arrest, Lisa reached out to her, encouraging her to forgive James.
“ … she was basically like, ‘Ally, like, he needs you … you’re really good together,’” Ally recalled on an episode of The Viall Files podcast, adding that Lisa also tried to convince her to accompany James to an upcoming DJ gig he had, despite the two being broken up and Ally having already moved out of their shared home.
Neither Lisa, Sandoval nor Lala have responded to Scheana’s claims about Season 11.

Kudos to the Ashley for acknowledging Ken’s role as the page boy in who announces stuff in the kitchen for his lady’s plot lines. Always cracked me up and you know they practiced all day.
Also lalaler has standards, who knew! Honestly this would have made more sense given how much vitriol she had for Ariana instead she looked like a whiny brat crying about how Ariana gets everything. Probably also would have made Scheana look less crazy and jealous too. I see what you were doing Lisa, trying to make a season 12 happen. Was this why they were trying to make Schwartz happen with Lala?
