“90 Day Fiancé” Stars Eric Rosenbrook & Leida Margaretha Hire Private Medical Examiner to Challenge Official Findings in Infant Daughter’s “Non-Accidental” Death

Leida and Eric of 90 Day Fiancé…

Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of the death of an infant and abuse allegations.

Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha have reportedly hired a private medical examiner that they claim challenges the official findings regarding their five-week-old daughter’s death in 2025.

As The Ashley reported earlier this week, the Medical Examiner’s Office in Adams County, Wisconsin, recently ruled that the death of the former 90 Day Fiancé couple’s infant daughter, Alisa, was “non-accidental,” citing official findings released by the Adams County Health and Human Services Department.

According to TMZ, Eric and Leida have since hired their own private medical examiner to challenge the autopsy performed on their daughter, with Eric telling the outlet that he doesn’t agree with Alisa’s death being ruled as “non-accidental.” Furthermore, Eric claims that the private medical examiner he and Leida independently retained believes that Alisa’s original autopsy was improperly performed.

Eric went on to claim that the expert found key steps that were not completed in the autopsy and alleges that the report did not properly determine or clearly state the age of a fracture that was referenced in the report. He went on to tell the outlet that the private medical examiner believes that one injury may have occurred during childbirth, possibly when Alisa was born via C-section.

Eric also notes that a rib fracture mentioned in the autopsy report may have occurred while CPR efforts were being made on the infant, as ribs can break during resuscitation attempts.

While Eric and Leida allegedly challenged the Adams County Health and Human Services Department over its assessment, Eric notes that the Sheriff’s Department has not found Leida at fault. He also claims that he and his wife requested months ago that authorities review additional information related to the autopsy report, but HHS allegedly wasn’t interested in what the couple had to present.

In the official autopsy report– obtained and posted in-part to social media by “90 Day Fiancé” blogger John Yates– it states that the agency received a report on July 5, 2025, regarding a one-month-old infant who had been brought to the hospital with multiple injuries. The report goes on to state that the infant was pronounced deceased on July 9, 2025.

“Law enforcement was contacted and initiated a criminal investigation,” the report continues. “The Medical Examiner’s Office determined the death was non-accidental. No criminal charges have been filed in this case, and the investigation remains open.”

As The Ashley previously told you, the findings of the autopsy also concluded that, “the Initial Assessment completed by the agency found a preponderance of the evidence to substantiate maltreatment of physical abuse to the infant by the mother.” The report also notes that authorities had been called to Leida’s home in June 2025 to check on the welfare of her 12-year-old son from a previous relationship, Alessandro, in response to a CPS Report alleging neglect by Leida, which was ultimately found to be “unsubstantiated.”

When speaking to TMZ this week, Eric allegedly referred to CPS as “the definition of fascism,” before going on to claim that the agency is “a hammer and every parent is a nail.”

Eric also claimed this week that he and Leida remain married, despite the two being separated at the time of Alisa’s death and Leida living in her own apartment with Alisa and son Alessandro. (Leida filed for legal separation and was granted a restraining order from Eric in July 2025. In a separate filing, she claimed there had been “too many domestic abuse events” in her marriage, noting that she had previously filed for divorce in July 2024. In August 2025, Leida dropped both the separation and restraining order requests.)

According to Starcasm, Eric showed up to Leida’s apartment drunk on the morning or July 5, 2025, and allegedly slapped his wife while she was holding their infant daughter. Eric went on to be booked for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct; just a few hours later, Alisa was found unresponsive and a call was made to 911. Alisa was transported by ambulance to Gunderson Moundview Hospital before being transferred to UW Health American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Eric not only maintains that he and Leida are still married, he allegedly told TMZ this week that he and his wife have not yet decided whether they will try for another child.

As mentioned above, the investigation regarding Alisa’s death remains open.

  1. So exactly one week after someone reported mistreatment of another child in their home to CPS, there is a domestic violence incident in that same home. And on the very same day of that domestic violence incident, a baby in their home suddenly dies…but the medical examiner is just a dum dum and the baby’s injuries were from a c-section and cpr. Sure, Jan.

I wondered how directly Eric was involved in the baby’s death, thinking Leida might have killed Alisa to hurt him, and maybe he was innocent of the actual murder. But the fact that he is an active part of this defense tactic reeks of both parents’ guilt.
