Liz and her new love interest on 90 Day: The Single Life…

Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of pregnancy loss.

On Monday’s episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, viewers watched as Liz Woods opened up to her new love interest Villa about her cancer diagnosis, as well as her fear regarding future relationships.

During the episode, Liz went on a second date with Villa, someone she said she felt “safe” with. As the two spoke one-on-one, Liz revealed that, while she’s focused on her mental health right now, she’s made very few people aware that she’s also focused on her physical health.

Liz and Villa on their second date…

“ … I don’t share with a lot of people, like, how I’m sick right now,” Liz said. “It was about a year ago I found out that I had ovarian cancer … .”

As The Ashley previously told you, Liz, the former fiancée of Big Ed Brown, confirmed in late 2024 that she had been “going through treatment” after being diagnosed with cancer. While Liz reportedly finished her last round of chemotherapy in December 2024, she shared on February 4– which happens to be World Cancer Day– that doctors had found another cancerous mass on her ovaries.

“ … I’m taking this time to be alone with the ones closest to me,” Liz posted to Instagram, alongside a throwback photo of her and her daughter. “The next step is hysterectomy.”

On Monday’s episode of ‘The Single Life,’ Liz explained to Villa that she received her initial cancer diagnosis after suffering a miscarriage.

“ … [the miscarriage] makes my past really hard because that’s [who] I thought I was going to, like, build a relationship with,” Liz said of her former partner, whom she did not name.

Liz went on to share with Villa that her cancer diagnosis caused her to change the way she moves in relationships, noting that she feels like she “went on the whole journey by [herself] of being sick.” Liz then admitted that she fears her health struggles will ultimately be too much for future love interests to handle.

“I’m definitely scared that, like, my sickness can push someone away,” she said. “Do I date? Do I put myself out there? Is someone going to leave me because of it? Is someone not going to be ready to take on everything that I come with?”

After Liz opened up, Villa acknowledged that she was dealing with “a lot,” though he also assured Liz that he was happy she felt comfortable enough to have the discussion with him.

“I’m glad you were able to share that with me,” he said. “It means a lot to me, honestly.”

While Villa noted that he and Liz had only just met each other, Liz confirmed that Villa was already checking many of her boxes.

“You give me a safe spot that I feel comfortable with,” she said. “I definitely feel like I’m being listened to and heard around you.”

Months before ‘The Single Life’ premiere, Liz told fans that she would be sharing her “ovarian cancer story” soon, while noting, “chemo can suck it.” She went on to reveal in January that she planned to open up about her diagnosis on Season 5 of ‘The Single Life.’
