‘Unexpected’ Star Bryce Palmer’s Mom Connie Arrested in 2018 for Biting Bryce’s Paw Paw Kevin: Details

The casting department really outdid itself this season…

File this under: “Headlines We’d Never Thought We’d Write.”

Days after Unexpected star Isabella Leal-Stone’s mom Tasha shared with viewers that she is currently on probation for theft of property and aggravated robbery, Isabella’s baby daddy and fiancé Bryce Palmer’s mom Connie’s past criminal history has also been revealed.

According to Starcasm, Connie was arrested in June 2018 for allegedly biting her stepdad, aka Bryce’s Paw Paw Kevin.

AS.YOU.DO.

Court documents obtained by Starcasm state that Connie was charged with misdemeanor assault causing bodily harm to a family member for the alleged 2018 Paw-Paw chomp, with the indictment noting that Connie did “intentionally or recklessly cause bodily harm” to Kevin “by biting him on the arm.”

“What can I say? I was in my Vampire Era!”

After completing a Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) class, Connie’s charge was dismissed in August 2019. In the dismissal, it notes that the victim (Kevin) “did not want to prosecute” and that there were “not other issues between these two parties.”

A month before Connie’s charge was dismissed, her mom, Sue, and stepdad filed an Original Petition for Adoption of a Child in regard to Bryce, with Connie also signing that day a Mother’s Affidavit for Voluntary Relinquishment of Parental Rights for Bryce.

According to Starcasm, the parent-child relationships between Bryce and both of his parents were terminated in July 2019.

Paw Paw Kevin (seemingly covering his arm to prevent anyone else from gnawing on him), Bryce, Connie and Sue…

Connie isn’t the only member of Bryce’s family to catch a charge for assault, as Bryce’s dad, who passed away in 2021, also reportedly had a history of domestic violence.

Before his death, Bryce’s dad was arrested multiple times for assaulting family members and ended up serving several five-year prison terms for assault.

Unsurprisingly, Paw Paw Kevin appears to have a rap sheet of his own, with Starcasm reporting that the 58-year-old ‘Unexpected’ grandpa was arrested in Texas in 2022 for “terroristic threat of family/household”– a Class A misdemeanor.

Meanwhile, as The Ashley told you earlier this week, Isabella’s mom Tasha’s criminal history was brought to light after Tasha revealed on a recent episode of ‘Unexpected’ why she was worried about meeting Bryce’s family ahead of their grandchild’s birth.

“I’m risking a lot because I’m on probation for theft of property and aggravated robbery,” Tasha explained in a confessional. “So, if this meeting goes wrong and goes bad, you know, I’ve got a lot more to lose. It would suck to go back to jail for fighting Bryce’s family. I’m risking everything.”

“Please keep your hands and mouth to yourself, mom…”

Tasha’s charge reportedly came in 2014 after she “assisted in an armed robbery of a convenience store in [October] 2013.” The outlet noted that Tasha’s probation sentence was to be served concurrently with a separate sentence for a different theft in another county; however, that sentence has not been disclosed publicly. It’s believed that the probation Tasha mentioned on ‘Unexpected’ is the second unspecified sentence, as her first sentence should have been completed in 2024.

New episodes of ‘Unexpected’ air Mondays on TLC.

  1. Was TLC ever supposed to be educational? Or was it just a parade of freak shows like the Duggars and whatever this dumpster fire is from the start. I truly worry about the US when this level of garbage is on a channel with “Learning” in the title. Maybe change Learning to Loony.

  2. At this point, TLC is probably doing background checks just to make sure the families are full of dysfunction.
