Wedding bells will soon be ringing for yet another couple from the cast of “Unexpected” Season 7!
Mia Quebedeaux and Jessie Kistler— who are starred on the most-recent season with their daughter Oakleigh— are officially engaged. Jessie proposed to Mia— and she accepted— over the weekend.
Mia confirmed the engagement when she hopped onto the TikTok Live session of Ashley “AK” Kistler (who is Jessie’s stepmom) and announced in the comment section, “Sooo all I have to say is see y’all at the wedding!” (Jessie also spoke about the proposal on Live over the weekend.)
The proposal took place while the couple was on vacation in New Orleans. Their daughter Oakleigh was present when Jessie popped the question. AK— as well as Mia’s father Keith Quebedeaux— were apparently in on the proposal and helped Jessie plan it.

In a comment left on a post about the engagement to the Instagram account @TheTLCUnexpected, Mia confirmed that Jessie went to her father Keith for permission before proposing.
“There was no way he would propose to me without his permission,” Mia wrote.
Mia had a hunch that Jessie might have been planning to propose. In late April, she posted a video to TikTok in which she revealed that she thought he was going to propose at the beach when they went there in a few weeks.
“I don’t know, I’ve just been getting these hints,” she said in the video posted on April 27. “But I hope so!”
In videos posted to social media on Monday, Mia flashed her engagement ring and thanked fans for their kind words.
Mia and Jessie have not yet revealed when they plan to get hitched. The couple lives in Louisiana, where it is illegal for anyone who is under the age of 18 to get married, unless that have the signed consent of both parents or an order from a judge of the state’s Juvenile Court.
Mia and Jessie (who are both 16 years old) are the third couple from ‘Unexpected’ Season 7 to get engaged recently. Just last week, 16-year-old Bella Vaughn revealed that her 14-year-old boyfriend Hunter Johnson had proposed.
In February, Isabella Leal-Stone and Bryce Palmer got engaged.
As of press time, none of the couples have revealed when they will get married.

Out of all the girls featured on this season of Unexpected, Mia impressed me the most. She had a job and worked hard to graduate high school early. She’s had to deal with an absentee Mom on drugs, which is something no kid should have to deal with. A fire that destroyed her house. There may be more that I haven’t listed. Who knows if this relationship/engagement will work out. Regardless if it does or not, I think she has a good head on her shoulders considering all the crap that has been thrown her way.
I know the focus is on Bella and Hunter and their situation, but Mia really was impressive this season. Down vote me if you will.
Mia’s mum reminds me of Janelle, thank god she’s got a decent dad by her side.
Cause they’re engaged doesn’t mean they’re gonna get married straight away, tbh we all know having a baby is expensive so probably be a long engagement.
I’m happy for the couple cause Mia deserves some happiness with all the bs her mum puts her though.
