Controversial ‘Unexpected’ Season 7 star Bella Vaughn has a new boyfriend, less than four months after the 16-year-old split (again) with her 14-year-old baby daddy and fiancé, Hunter Johnson. 

On Monday, Bella took to TikTok to hard launch her new relationship with boyfriend Ashton, whose name now appears in her bio alongside a blue heart emoji. While Ashton’s exact age is unknown, his social media posts suggest that he’s at least old enough to legally drive a vehicle. (For those wondering, Ashton has also added Bella’s name and a heart emoji to his TikTok bio.) 

“There’s so many reasons to be happy but you’re definitely my favorite one,” Bella wrote in the first slide of her post on Monday, which featured a bathroom selfie. In the second slide, Bella included the text, “oops wrong picture” over a photo of a frozen coffee concoction; her post concluded with a photo of her and Ashton in the third slide. 

Bella captioned her post, “Is this how you hard launch,” while adding the hashtag “boyfriend.” 

Like Bella, Ashton also took to TikTok this week to hard-launch his and Bella’s relationship, with the two going on to exchange “I love you’s” in the comment section. 

The former TLC star hasn’t revealed how long she’s been dating Ashton, nor has she shared whether Ashton and Hunter have yet to meet. She did, however, like a series of comments on Monday that seemingly confirm that she’s continuing to allow Hunter to see Wes– who the teens welcomed in March 2025– despite the two no longer being in a relationship with each other. 

“She’s definitely not the type of person to withhold someone’s child from them,” one person wrote in a comment that Bella “liked.” “I’m sure if he doesn’t see Wes that it’s his choice.” 

“I’m sure he does [see Wes] unless he doesn’t want to,” another commenter speculated, which Bella also “liked.” 

While Hunter continues to have access to his son, it’s unknown if the new man boy in Bella’s life has met the former couple’s toddler. As The Ashley told you in July, when Bella and her mom, Falen Vaughn, gave fans an (awkward) update on Bella’s dating life, Falen insisted that Bella would need to get to know a person and their family before introducing them to Wes. 

In the update video, Bella quietly mentioned that she was currently talking to someone, but Falen interjected to assure fans that the new boy would not be meeting Wes anytime soon. (It’s unclear if Bella was referring to Ashton or if she was dating someone else at the time.) 

That same month, ‘Unexpected’ fans figured out that Hunter was also dating someone new– a 16-year-old motorsports enthusiast named Ambria, though it’s unclear if Hunter and Ambria are still in a relationship.

As ‘Unexpected’ fans know, Bella and Hunter had quite a rollercoaster relationship before splitting (presumably for good) in July. Earlier this year, the two made their ‘Unexpected’ debut as the youngest couple to appear on the TLC series, where they later revealed that Hunter was only 12 when he and Bella conceived their son. In May 2026– just over a year after Wes was born– Bella revealed that she and Hunter were engaged to be married. 

The couple’s engagement only lasted a few weeks before Bella confirmed their breakup in late May, claiming that Hunter “lied to [her] and hurt [her] feelings,” and that he “was talking to somebody new” two days after they split. 

In late June, the teens had a brief reconciliation, posting videos of them and their son together, only to break up again the following month.
