Kendra Duggar’s Parents Subtly Hint Where Their Relationship with Her & Joe Duggar Stands Amidst Duggars’ Arrests

“Kick rocks, Joe and Kendra! You’re making us look all felon-y!”

Kendra Duggar‘s parents are seemingly making a statement about where their relationship with their daughter and son-in-law Joe Duggar stands following the couple’s recent arrests and a rumored feud between Kendra’s family and the Duggars.

Kendra’s parents– Paul and Christina Caldwell— have remained silent since it was announced that Kendra’s husband Joe Duggar had been arrested on March 18 on child molestation charges. They also didn’t comment when Kendra herself was arrested days later on unrelated charges. However, on Friday, Kendra’s parents made a subtle but telling “statement” about how they currently feel about their daughter and son-in-law.

Kendra’s parents— who share a Facebook profile (naturally)— hadn’t publicly updated their social media accounts since 2022, but on Friday posted two new family photos that very tellingly do not feature Joe, Kendra or the couple’s kids. All pro family photos previously posted by Paul and Christina to their Facebook featured the disgraced Counting On stars.

“No jailbirds here Just a Godly, Duggar-less family!”

As fans of the show will remember, Paul was the couple’s pastor for several years and even married them in 2017. Shortly after, Kendra and Christina found themselves pregnant at the same time, bringing the already close mother and daughter even closer together.

However, in recent years, it appears that the Caldwells and Joe’s father Jim Bob Duggar have had some sort of falling out, but Joe and Kendra appeared to remain on good terms with Kendra’s family. The couple was included in Caldwell family photos, as well as in videos taken at the church Paul Caldwell is the pastor at.

Joe and Kendra singing at Kendra’s parent’s church a few years ago…

(Kendra and Joe also appeared in a strange video posted to the Caldwells’ church website. In the video— entitled “The Greatest Gift”— Kendra and Joe played Jesus’ parents Mary and Joseph. While the video was live on the church website last month, it has since been removed and been made private.)

The video was TRULY a gem, and The Ashley is sorry to see that it was taken down…

Anyway, in 2021, Kendra and Joe transferred the deed to the home they had built for themselves to Kendra’s parents for only $10,000 via a quitclaim deed, However, in February 2025, county records indicate that the property was transferred back (once again via quitclaim deed) to Joe and Kendra.

Calls made between Joe and Kendra while Joe was in jail in Arkansas last month also indicate things are no longer pleasant between Kendra and Joe and Kendra’s family. In one call, Kendra mentions that the Duggars are making sure the Caldwells vacate the home in question.

In a call made to Joe on March 25, Kendra tells her incarcerated hubby that “my family said they’re moving out in a month and everybody [assuming she means the Duggars here] is going to hold them to it.”

How Michelle should show up at the house to scare the Caldwells out…

Joe and Kendra have a giggle about that, and Joe mentions that he already has a list of tasks that need to be done at the house once the Caldwells get the boot.

While Kendra mentions in several calls how supportive Joe’s family has been through all of the recent events (with Joe’s mom Michelle Duggar even bailing Kendra out of jail), there has been no indication that Kendra’s parents are supporting the pair or have even contacted them since Joe’s arrest.

  1. man that situation is fricked up. from Kendra and her kiddie porn husband, to them locking their children in their room

  2. I have so much respect for the father being able to get a confession out of him. Im sure he wanted to release his anger physically. I hope that confession is able to save the victim from testifying, if that is what she wants.

Honestly its nice to see one of these big religious families do the work to protect their girls.

  3. It’s almost as if bringing up your girls in a controlling and patriarchal religion that tells them they’re not worthy to make their own decisions is bad.

  4. It sounds like Kendra’s parents may have an actual brain that is being used for its intended purpose. Thinking. Not something the Duggar’s or their pedo loving wives do.

    1. Daddy Caldwell can not be accused of thinking. His ideas during Covid were very extreme and stupid. The problem, to Jim D, was that he shared them openly. It went too far (okay, mostly the backlash daddy Duggar received for supporting their ministry), even on the Duggar scale. They had a fall out and Jimbo kicked them out of their Duggar rental.
The Caldwells were purposely sharing drinking straws during Covid to show they had no fears for the wreath of sky daddy on human kind because they were holier than others.

      1. Always remember George Carlins line about stupid people:

“ Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
        ― George Carlin

If you are confident in whatever statement, the downvotes just mean you ran into an idiot. Or, perhaps in this case a pedophile lover.

And really, who cares what idiots think. Sometimes I even get a chuckle when i get them.

      2. The only comment I downvoted was the one above identifying the POSSIBLE victim (remember it hasn’t been confirmed). And I’ll downvote adults posting that all day long. This is the only gossip site I visit who isn’t removing comments identifying the victim. Duggarsnark on reddit will ban you for naming her. Good. This is a damn child who’s been hurt in the worst possible way.

      3. I think it happens with a touchscreen if you don’t hit the thumbs up square on the head. It’s happened to me and there’s no way to change it.

        1. Yes there is a way to fix it. All you need to do is wait a couple minutes, refresh the page and click the like. This fixes your vote (I know because it happens frequently if I’m not really paying attention, lol)

          1. So they transfered the home probably within months of his sexual crimes. Then a few years later they probably believed he was off the hook so they took it back. Looking like they were worried if the victim spoke the house could be part of a settlement.

    2. I agree on one hand. But I wonder why they don’t use their brain power to get jobs that pay enough to support their family. I know the super fundmental don’t believe in the wives working outside the home, but something’s gotta give if they are running a GoFundMe stating they need money for safe housing. That is a mother and father’s responsibility to provide food and a home to their children. A lot of their children look old enough to have jobs to help w/family expenses too. They had all those kids saying “God will provide”, but He often provides thru people working a paying job, and that means the mom too if the dad cannot make enough to support all those children.

Kendra Duggar’s Dad Seems to Take Jab at Son-in-Law Joseph in Update on Their Family Fundraiser; Says Funds Won’t “Help Anyone Who Would Harm Children”

As Kendra Duggar’s parents continue raising funds to secure housing after being evicted by their daughter and son-in-law Joseph Duggar, Kendra’s dad, Paul Caldwell, is assuring donors that any money raised will “not help anyone who would harm children”– a choice of words that is almost certainly a jab at his son-in-law, Joe.
