Dr. Drew Pinsky Claims Jenelle Evans Has Struggled with Serious Mental Issues “For A Long Time” & MTV Tried to Get Her Help

“Jenelle also has a serious case of Loser Magnatitus– losers are drawn to her like magnets!”

Dr. Drew Pinsky was recently asked for his thoughts on Jenelle Evans‘ chaotic life, and the former Teen Mom Reunion host did not hold back!

During an interview this week with Pause Rewind, Dr. Drew— who has known Jenelle since she appeared on “16 and Pregnant” in 2010— claimed that Jenelle has serious mental health issues that the show’s producers worked hard to assist her with.

“Jenelle has been struggling with mental health issues for a long time,” he said. “Most of them were far more serious than people know. Great lengths were taken by MTV and the producers to get her help.”

“Docta Drew! Ya may want to disable ya social media afta Juh-nelle watches ya interview!”      “Thanks for the tip, Barb. Now, can you kindly remove your hand from my butt?”

Dr. Drew applauded MTV and the ‘Teen Mom’ producers for going the extra mile to try to help some of the girls featured on the shows.

“I’ve told them repeatedly, you should take a bow for what you’ve done for some of these kids, Jenelle was one of them,” he said. “And, at times, she was doing quite well. When she was sort of— let’s call it ‘with the program.’ And when she’s not, it’s struggles.”

Dr. Drew went on to talk about Jenelle’s eldest son Jace and the problems he’s had over the years. (As fans know, Jace has been in several mental health facilities over the last few years and, according to Jenelle, has multiple mental health disorders.)

According to Dr. Drew, Jace’s issues are likely due to the chaos he grew up in.

#NeverForget

“[Jace] has been in situations which, multiple adverse childhood experiences increase the probability of not just violent acting out but serious mental health problems,” Dr. Drew said, before giving his thoughts on Jace’s current situation.

“Jace can be helped, but I hope he gets it,” he said.

As The Ashley previously reported, Jenelle had kept Jace in a mental health facility for about a month in February and early March (despite Barbara and Jace’s dad Andrew Lewis wanting Jace to be released into their care). Late last month, Jenelle pulled Jace out of the facility and has taken him to an unknown location, according to Andrew.

Andrew and Barbara have both lawyered up and are preparing to battle Jenelle in mediation— and then court— for custody of Jace.

Anyway, it is not yet known what prompted Dr. Drew to suddenly discuss Jenelle and her alleged mental health issues, as Pause Rewind has not posted the rest of the interview.

“What do you mean? We all know I’m messy AF on the regular.”

As of press time, Jenelle has not responded to Dr. Drew’s claims.

  1. Hopefully, when Jace turns 18yrs, he will go “no contact” with Janelle, Janelle’s sister and Barbara. His immediate family has failed him and Jace would be better off anywhere else. Andrew looks healthy and has been paying child support for years. Let Jace have a male role model for once in his life. Even if you like Barbara, she is too elderly to care for a wild 16yrs old.

  2. Janelle is a great example of how one can be mentally ill, and still be a trashbag of a human being.

A mountain of guano, in fleshy form.

The gelatinous fatbergs of poop that form in our sewers have better morals, intelligence, integrity, and are prettier than Janelle. I am not a fan.

I’ve gotten in the habit of copying the great quotes I’ve read into the notes app of my phone. This one is being pasted now.

  3. *insert shocked Pikachu face here*

No but legit…I do think she has mental health issues (could honestly be BPD, Bipolar, NPD, Sociopathy…take your pick) but MTV gave her a sense of invincibility that she could do & get away with anything she wants. She had access to $$ & her name got her things she wouldn’t have had w/o Teen Mom (like the ability to sell stories & control narratives). Add in an addiction to toxic relationships & never maturing past 16 & it’s a time bomb waiting to happen.

I almost feel bad for her because I also had a lot of childhood trauma growing up & it really messed with my head but I pulled my head out of my butt & got therapy & put on meds to break the cycle. She plays the victim & refuses to take accountability for anything. Until then it’s her kids & pets that will suffer when they don’t deserve to.

  4. I know people are going to come after me for saying this but I honestly think a lot of people are diagnosed with mental health issues when in reality they are just bad people. I don’t think Jenelle she has mental issues. I think she’s just selfish, narcissistic and is obsessively addicted to men and toxic relationships.

    1. Not to mention, she mixes drugs (prescription and otherwise) with alcohol which isn’t good. She is also a spoiled brat who doesn’t know the meaning of the word “NO”. I think she’s also a hypochondriac. Every week she comes up with something else catastrophic wrong with her that she uses to try to get people to excuse her bad behavior

  5. It is very noticeable that Janelle has some sort of mental issues. Then gets with people who are not all there either. She keeps making friends who also have issues or have not grown up themselves yet like boyfriends and friends and it just encourages her behavior. She is stuck and thinks she probably doesn’t need the help. It will be interesting to see where her life will end up 10 plus years from now. I feel like she is just going to continue being a wreck. I feel for people like her just a tad because you know that her brain isn’t working correctly. Some of it she can help but people just fed her craziness and now I think she is just too far gone.

    1. I think she has a substance abuse disorder at the minimum. She also just is not a good person. She is immature, unintrospective, and morally bankrupt.

People who are addicts, even without her attitude problems and access to money, tend to end up in jail, rehab or dead. She sure seems to like felons, and physically violent abusive men as well.

Those two are not a great combo, combined with the stats on physical abusers who strangle? I just hope her kids get out with a minimum of damage.

What she has done to Jace in an effort to demonstrate her control and probably punish him for testifying to the abuse he’s been put through under her care, shows she isnt meant to be a mom. She shouldn’t have a pet, let alone a human child.

I pray like hell he gets a good guardian at litem, and soon. Thank god for Barbs, and Andrew stepping in.
