Falen Vaughn is ready to fight the criminal charges she received from her arrest earlier this week.
The Ashley can reveal that, on Wednesday, the mom of Unexpected star Bella entered a plea of “not guilty” to Disorderly Conduct, as well as a charge of Obstructing Government Operations. Both charges stem from Falen’s arrest on Monday outside the home of Hunter Johnson‘s dad, Casey. (As ‘Unexpected’ fans are aware, Hunter is the boyfriend of Bella and the father of Bella’s infant son Wes.)
As The Ashley previously told you, Hunter’s mom Stacy Riddle was having a dispute with Hunter’s stepmom Brettney on Monday night outside Hunter’s home when Falen and Falen’s husband Kris rolled up and jumped into the situation. (Hunter, Bella and Wes were already present at the scene.) The arresting officer alleged that he ordered Falen not to approach another officer several times but that she refused to follow the commands. In the end, Falen was the one who was handcuffed and carted to jail.
Falen’s lawyer, Kevin Hickey, told TMZ on Thursday that “Falen was at the scene to help her daughter and grandson and now she looks forward to proving she’s innocent of the charges.”
Falen was originally scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, but that was cancelled and she entered the not guilty plea anyway. She is next scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on August 6.
In addition to entering the not guilty plea to her criminal charges, Falen also had a Spoliation Letter sent to the attorneys in her custody court case against Casey. (The Ashley broke the news earlier this month that Casey is suing Falen for full custody of their grandson Wes.)
The letter– which was sent to Casey’s attorney— basically demands that Casey be ordered to preserve any evidence relevant to the case. It forbids him or anyone else from destroying, deleting or altering any electronic evidence that has to do with the case.
It appears that Falen wants all evidence of electronic communication between her and Casey, or Bella and Casey, as well as any communication about them preserved. (This can include text messages, emails, photos sent, computer data logs, etc.)
“We demand that Casey Johnson, as well as his agents and those who reside in his home, preserve any electronically stored materials, including, but not limited to, any communications involving or pertaining to Falen Vaughn, [Bella], and any related correspondence related to Falen Vaughn or [Bella], created during the period of March 1, 2026, through present date.”
Falen also wants footage from the night of her arrest (which, again, happened in front of Casey’s home) preserved.
“This includes any and all Ring Camera footage at Mr. Johnson’s home on the date of April 20, 2026.”
Falen also filed a response to Casey’s latest Motion for Temporary Relief in the battle for custody of Wes. Casey filed the motion the day after Falen’s arrest, asking the judge to basically speed things along in the case and temporarily give him custody of both Hunter and Wes.
In her response to Casey’s request, Falen stated that Casey should not have temporary custody of their grandson, since he barely knows the kid.
“[Casey] has had little to no contact with the minor child [Wes], aside from a brief interaction initiated by [Falen],” Falen’s response reads. “Casey] was given the opportunity to be present at the time of the child’s birth but declined to participate or be involved.”
As of press time, Falen has not addressed her arrest publicly.

This woman is disgusting and the fact that boy is drawing a penis on Bella’s belly shows the obvious: he wasn’t mature enough to be having sex or a baby. He’s a child himself, he has no business having an active sex life and Falen only allowed it because she wants to be next
Right…she was just there to “help her daughter and grandson.” 🙄 Help with what exactly? If Falen wasn’t letting underage kids do whatever they want under her roof, there wouldn’t be a mess to fix.
She’s too busy casually making disturbing comments like “are you going to shower with Hunter” instead of actually parenting. She has no business involving herself in what’s happening at Hunter’s dad’s house.
And “he declined to be there for Wes’ birth”? No he declined being on TV and being around that dysfunctional circus. The editing might try to paint him as a deadbeat, but if any of that footage is actually reviewed, it’ll tell a very different story. Falen and Stacey are sick and there should be no kids in their custody.
Helping Bella and Wes by inserting herself into a custodial interference issue between Hunter’s parents? Does she think anyone believes that? Bella and Wes had nothing to do with Stacie taking Hunter.
I would hate to be her lawyer.
