Lindsie Chrisley’s Ex David Landsman Asks for Protective Order Against Her & Wants Custody of Their Dog

“Keep her away from me!”

Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of domestic violence.

Weeks after Lindsie Chrisley filed for a protective order against her ex David Landsman, David has filed for his own restraining order against the former Chrisley Knows Best star— and he also wants custody of their shared pup!

On May 1, David— who was arrested for aggravated assault (via strangulation) and battery against Lindsie on April 10— filed for a protective order, claiming Lindsie got violent with him, punching him in the face last month and causing “visible injury.” (The Ashley broke the news last month that David first made this claim when he called 911 on the night of his arrest, stating that Lindsie broke into his home and punched him after he broke up with her.)

TMZ reports that David’s petition states that the punch allegedly came after the pair got into a verbal argument and he told Lindsie to leave.

David is now asking the judge to grant him a 12-month ex-parte dating violence protective order, and to order Lindsie to stay at least 500 feet from him. In addition, David wants legal and physical custody of the dog he shared with Lindsie— a dachshund named Oliver.

“I’m over this. Also, woof.”

As The Ashley previously reported, Lindsie claimed in her own petition for a Dating Violence Protective Order that David strangled her on the night of his arrest on April 10.

Lindsie claimed that she went to David’s place that night and broke the news to him that she wanted to “step away” from their relationship for the time being. She stated that David became “agitated and angry” once she confronted him about some alleged lies he had been telling her. Lindsie claimed that when she tried to leave David’s home, he strangled her “multiple times,” even allegedly using one hand to hold “her up so that her feet were off the ground.”

Lindsie wrote that she was screaming at David to stop but he wouldn’t so she punched him in the face to get him to let her go. He did let her go but eventually grabbed her throat again, according to Lindsie, and threw her outside the home. Lindsie claimed that she hit her head on some concrete outside but was able to leave David’s house.

When cops arrived and examined Lindsie, they reportedly found injuries on her neck consistent with being strangled, as well as “lacerations on her head” from being thrown on the ground. David was then arrested for aggravated assault and battery.

 David’s bloody muggy…

In her filing for the protective order, Lindsie claimed David also got violent with her on February 13 over their dog. She alleged that she went to David’s home to get the dog and David ended up holding her down on the ground, held her wrists together, and put his foot on her ankles to keep her from leaving. She stated she eventually broke free and punched him, but David chased her, pushed her down and got the dog back.

“[David] has also been physically violent with [Lindsie’s] minor son in a public setting,” Lindsie’s court paperwork states. “This has caused [Lindsie] to be extremely concerned for her safety and the safety of her minor son.”

Lindsie and David have a court date set for Wednesday. Various witnesses— including the 911 call operator and various members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department— have been subpoenaed to testify during the hearing.
