Spencer Pratt Eliminated From L.A. Mayoral Race; ‘The Hills’ Star Vowed to Leave City If Not Elected

“I guess I’ll get back to shoving my wife’s auto-tuned music down everyone’s throats again now…”

Spencer Pratt’s hope to become the next mayor of Los Angeles has been quashed as “The Hills” star has finished third in the primary election, meaning he will not advance to the general election on November 3.

According to TMZ, 92.5 percent of the expected votes have been counted, with 34.3 percent of those votes going to incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, 28.5 percent being cast for City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, and Spencer sitting in third place with 25.8 percent of votes. (The Mayor and City Councilwoman will advance to the runoff in November.)

Lauren Conrad right now…probably.

As The Ashley previously reported, Spencer launched his political campaign in January, where he went on to address a crowd at a “They Let Us Burn!” protest held in the Pacific Palisades Neighborhood, where he blamed California leadership for the devastating L.A. fires that caused many people– including Spencer and wife Heidi Montag– to lose their homes and businesses one year earlier.

At the time, Spencer told the crowd that he had “waited a whole year” for someone to challenge Mayor Bass, but “saw no fighters” and decided he’d have to run for office himself. During the protest, he went on slam California Gov. Gavin Newsom for allegedly allowing brush to “grow wild in Topanga State Park for 50 years with no prescribed burns and no wildfire maintenance.” He also accused the Governor and the state of California of creating “an insurance market so hostile that every major carrier stopped writing policies and dropped our families and our neighbors just before the sparks flew here in the Palisades.”

Spencer assured constituents in January that his run for mayor wasn’t “just a campaign,” but rather “a mission” in which he would “expose the system.”

Despite receiving public support over the last six months from a handful of politicians and endorsements from a number of reality stars– including Nick Viall (‘The Bachelor’), Brody Jenner (‘The Hills’), Tom Sandoval (‘Vanderpump Rules’), Patti Stanger (‘The Millionaire Matchmaker’) and Johnny Bananas (‘The Challenge’)– Spencer wasn’t able to convince L.A. citizens that he and his crystals could get the job done.

In response to reports on Monday that showed the former MTV star falling out of a runoff-advancing position, President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to fire off a series of rants in which he doubted the results and insisted that a “rigged” and “crooked” election had gone down in L.A.

Spencer himself had already taken to questioning the legitimacy of the election process on Monday, while basically admitting in an Instagram post that he was suspicious of “how votes get counted” in his city.

Despite his admitted confusion, an optimistic Spencer was still encouraging supporters to wait for the official results, noting Monday afternoon on X that, “we’re dealing with a fraction of a percentage point difference.”

“ … there’s still hundreds of thousands of votes outstanding, and LA officials have given us the next 3 weeks to count!” Spencer added. “Let’s git-r-dun!”

While it’s now clear that Spencer won’t be the next mayor of Los Angeles, it remains to be seen if he will continue residing in the city at all following his failed political pursuit, as he previously vowed to vacate L.A. if he was not victorious.

“If Karen Bass gets reelected or Nithya [Raman] gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in L.A.,” Spencer recently stated in an interview with Adam Carolla.

As for where Spencer is planning to relocate, he told the comedian he would “find somewhere that my kids will not have to see naked zombies and I can have the last American dream somewhere.”

  1. The fact that morons voted for him at all shows the education gap in this country.

The stupidest citizens think that being on tv makes you a good choice to be in office.

Again (like the dementia-riddled loser in the White House), they wanted to elect a person that couldn’t even keep himself from going bankrupt. Just morons.

  2. I’m cracking up that he thought he’d win. He’s the same as he ever was. He’s out of touch. His past shenanigans are still all over the Internet.

  3. Listened to his pitch on Joe Rogan a few months ago and turned me TeamPratt. He is a lifetime resident of Hollywood and genuinely wanted to help clean up his hometown. Did you know in CA that a gym membership card is “proof” of ID to vote? Insane.

    1. So many ways to cast a fraudulent vote. Anti-Pratt operatives were going into homeless encampment and all was needed to cast a vite was an “X” and some type of incentive. Why people vote for those who have no real caring toward the city is beyond me. Always one side too.

  4. So 25% of people thought a reality star from 15 years ago who has never held a job would be the right choice for mayor? Things are just going to keep getting worse, aren’t they 😅

  5. thank God, his politics and ai slop made no sense with what he was trying to do and related to the fires, i bet whoever greenlit that reality she about his life as mayor feels more stupid than he does

  6. I won’t pretend to be well versed in the political candidates of California. What I do know is that Spencer Pratt is a self serving and egocentric prick and putting him in any position of power would have been catastrophic.
