Former “19 Kids and Counting” star (and current inmate) Josh Duggar was recently transferred to a new prison, and now his lawyer alleges that the Bureau of Prisons is “retaliating” against Josh for exposing faults in the prison mail system during his latest appeal.
Josh had been shacking up at FCI Seagoville in Seagoville, Texas, for years before he was shuttled to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) prison in Fort Worth, a facility described as an “administrative security federal medical center with a detention center.”
Despite Josh– who is serving a more than 12-year prison sentence for receiving child sex abuse materials (CSAM)– being relocated to a federal medical facility, Josh’s lawyer insisted the 34-year-old father of four’s health was “fine.”
Now, however, Josh’s lawyer is insisting that the move was done out of retaliation following Josh’s latest appeal attempt.

Josh’s lawyer, Beau Brindley, shared his theory with TMZ this week, telling the outlet that, while the prison claimed Josh was moved as part of a “routine transfer,” he believes that Josh was actually sent to the other slammer– located 46 miles from FCI Seagoville– because he and Josh pointed out errors in the mail system at FCI Seagoville during Josh’s hearing this month.
As The Ashley previously told you, Josh’s attempt at yet another appeal was denied by a judge last month, after the judge ruled that Josh didn’t mail in his required appeal documents within the legally allotted amount of time. Josh and his attorney insisted he did mail the forms in (on the very last day allowed, naturally), but claimed a series of prison mail system capers were to blame for the documents arriving more than a month past the due date.

The judge was not buying Josh’s cockamamie (and ever-changing) explanation.
“Mr. Duggar is asking the Court to believe something akin to a magic bullet theory– a sequential chain of events that defies common sense,” the judge wrote before denying Josh’s appeal.
Now, Josh’s attorney claims that their putting the spotlight on the prison’s mail system flaws has resulted in Josh getting the boot from the prison in Seagoville and transferred on May 29, something he says was “very unpleasant” for Josh.

(It should also be noted that FCU Seagoville is a low-security prison facility, while FMC Fort Worth houses inmates of all security levels. However, it is unknown if the Bureau of Prisons decided to transfer Josh because it felt he needed to be more-heavily guarded.)
According to TMZ, Josh’s attorney spoke to the jailbird Fundie last week, and Josh assured him that he was “not sick with any illness.” (FMC Fort Worth caters to inmates who have mental health issues or other medical needs. However, not all inmates locked up there need that specialized care.)
In other news regarding Jim Bob and Michelle‘s eldest imprisoned offspring, Josh has filed notice that he plans to appeal the judge’s recent denial of his motion to have his sentence vacated.
According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Josh informed the court on Monday that he is essentially appealing his denied appeal.

As of now, Josh is scheduled to be locked up until February 2, 2033.

Nobody cares about this pervert and child molester or his gross lawyer for defending him.
Well this claim matches the tone of his entire defense during the trial so I’m not surprised.
Whatever happened and why though—you deserve it Josh.
