They’re making it official!
On Tuesday, 90 Day Fiancé star Pedro Jimeno announced his engagement to girlfriend Valentina Malagon in a shared Instagram post with the official “90 Day Fiancé” social media page.
The couple took a trip to Hawaii in early June where Pedro popped the question on the beaches of Oahu, according to People. Photos shared on social media this week show Pedro on one knee in front of a red rose-heart arch surrounded by rose petals and candles and a sign that read, “Will you marry me?”
“The day I proposed, I say, ‘We [are] going to go to the best place in Hawaii, to the best restaurant,” Pedro explained. “We drove an hour away and […] it was in the middle of nowhere, but I got it done!”
The couple say they want to start wedding planing soon, but are struggling to find a place to host their celebration– Pedro’s home country of the Dominican Republic or Valentina’s home country of Colombia.
In the caption of his post, Pedro shared a heartfelt message to his fiancée, writing, “Today we’re not just celebrating a ‘yes.’ We’re celebrating the moment when two paths, two stories, and two dreams decided to become one forever.”
“Valentina came into my life as an answer, as a blessing that God placed on my path to show me that true love isn’t something you search for … it’s something you recognize,” Pedro wrote. “With her, I learned that peace also has a name, that home can live in a single look, and that the future is built in hand with the person who lifts you up, honors you, and loves you with truth.
“Today, our greatest story begins: a story of faith, purpose, and a love that never gives up,” he continued. “Thank you, my love, for choosing this journey with me. What’s coming will be even more beautiful than what we’ve dreamed…because with you, every day I become a better man. I love you.”
Pedro popped the question to Valentina with a custom 4-carat pear-shaped ring designed by Nuno Rocha of DiamondBoi Designs.
Viewers first met Pedro in Season 4 of “90 Day Fiancé” when he moved to the United States to marry Chantel Everett. Their marriage– which was showcased across two “90 Day Fiancé” franchise spinoffs, as well as their own show, The Family Chantel– ended after six years in 2022. Chantel also recently announced her engagement to girlfriend Ashley Bowen, whom she began dating during her appearance on 90 Day: Hunt for Love.
Pedro was most recently featured on Season 5 of 90 Day: The Single Life where he pursued fellow “90 Day Fiancé” alum Sophie Sierra during a girls’ trip to the Dominican Republic. Sophie ultimately broke things off with Pedro, but was visibly upset when he introduced his now-fiancée Valentina to the group during the Tell-All.

His mother and sister will never let him go. They will meddle until Valentina either breaks off the engagement or they will make sure the marriage ends up in a divorce. Pedro can’t see the reality of what his mother and sister are…nothing but trouble and want him for themselves.
