Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of domestic violence.
Two days after it was reported that Taylor Frankie Paul had voluntarily checked in (and soon out of) a rehab facility that provides mental health treatment, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star launched a social media tirade aimed at her ex-husband Tate Paul and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen– both of whom are currently embroiled in custody drama with the mother of three.

As The Ashley reported earlier this week, Tate– who shares eight-year-old daughter Indy and six-year-old son Ocean with Taylor– recently filed for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against his ex-wife, which was denied by a judge on Wednesday. Tate also reportedly filed a petition to modify the terms of his and Taylor’s divorce and custody agreement.
In addition to the renewed custody battle with Tate, Taylor is involved with a custody battle with Dakota over their two-year-old son, Ever, following multiple domestic violence incidents, including an incident in February, during which Taylor allegedly choked Dakota and grabbed his throat while their son was in the room. (Taylor and Dakota currently have TROs against each other; a judge ruled this week that Dakota will continue serving as Ever’s primary custodial parent, while Taylor will have unsupervised parenting time on a designated day each week, as well as alternating weekends.)
Amid the latest bout of baby daddy drama, Taylor took to social media to lob a series of accusations at both Tate and Dakota, alleging that she’s being “tag teamed” by the two men as she deals “with the system.”
Taylor’s long-winded rant kicked off late Thursday when she took to her Instagram Story to give herself props for her ability to hold back “while being trashed and bashed.” Just a couple hours later, however, Taylor returned to the platform to tell followers that she spent the day “crying and fighting for [her] 2 older children” following an incident with their father (and her ex-husband), Tate.
Taylor claimed that after “being withheld” from her, her oldest kids were returned to her house on Wednesday and were “excited” to spend the July 4th holiday with her this year. Taylor said that while Tate informed her that he would allow their kids to stay with her until Monday, he ultimately had a change of heart about extending her time with their kids, a decision that left the two children upset and confused.
Taylor went on to seemingly blame her kids being “taken” from her recently on the fact that she willingly sought “extra support” for her mental health. She also claimed that she was open about her issues “with those who needed to know,” and that she only refused to give details to her “controlling [exes].”
“ … I had my kids taken for doing the right thing…why would I ever ask for help again,” Taylor wrote, before going on to claim that she was drug tested while at the mental health facility and “was clean aside from [her] prescription meds.”
(According to TMZ, following Tate’s recently filing, a judge ruled that Taylor must undergo drug and alcohol testing in order to have unsupervised visits with their children.)
“This is abuse by proxy,” Taylor insisted.
As her social media posting-spree continued, Taylor revealed that police were called on Thursday for a “baby switch off” for her and Dakota’s son, Ever, as a third party is required per the exes’ current custody agreement. While Taylor said she agreed to allow police to serve as the third party for the handoff, she noted that her “body is traumatized by constant cop calls, [CPS] calls, visits and new reports.”
“Baby [daddies] claim it’s for ‘safety’ meanwhile I have the children while they are out having fun either on vacation or concerts…I’m always at home recovering from this trying to survive,” she added.
Taylor then insisted that she’s “dealing with the system” while being “tagged teamed” by her baby daddies and is the victim of a “smear campaign.” She posted the accusation over a photo of her son Ocean consoling Ever, who appears to be crying. Taylor went on to claim that she’s not only trying to “recover” her own nervous system, she’s also “trying to help and console” her young son.
“And daddy is seen out having fun, smiling while his child is in agony daddy has sole custody,” she wrote, before acknowledging that she’s “not okay.”
“ … I care and anyone with a heart would be dying witnessing this for months now,” she said, referring to the photo of an emotional Ever.
Taylor went on to shift her focus back to Tate, claiming that she trusted her ex-husband and opened up to him about what she went through with Dakota, only for him to lie, twist the information and team up with “the person that did it to me and filed against me”– aka Dakota.
“ … this isn’t about safety it’s about control for them,” Taylor said of her baby daddies. “That’s called coercive control for those that don’t know aka abuse.”
As her rant continued, Taylor addressed the video that was released in March of the 2023 altercation between herself and Dakota, for which she was arrested, charged with abeyance to aggravated assault and placed on probation. Taylor posted a photo (allegedly taken by Tate) that showed her arms severely bruised, insisting that the image showed just some of her “wounds from that night.”
While she noted that she has “apologized and been punished for years now” and does not “condone” what occurred that night, Taylor claimed that she had “just lost two babies” at the time and was being gaslit, as well as “psychologically, emotionally and physically abused.”
“I peed my pants because I was the one screaming for help,” Taylor said of the 2023 incident. “I’ve had this pic for years.”
As you may remember, the infamous video of the 2023 incident showed Taylor kicking, hitting and throwing metal barstools at Dakota, with one of the stools hitting Taylor and Tate’s daughter. However, Taylor insisted on social media this week that she was informed that Dakota’s phone had actually been what hit her daughter during the altercation, not the chair she threw. (Taylor implied that she learned this information through social media and seemed to acknowledge that she didn’t know for certain if this information was true.)
Taylor’s next two Instagram Stories included photos of alleged injuries she suffered around the time of Ever’s first birthday, as well as while she was pregnant.
“Planned his first birthday by myself with bite marks on my back and smiled through per usual,” she wrote.
“[Three] months pregnant here and scared to ask for help because I was always reminded I’d go to jail if I told anyone,” she noted of the second photo.
Taylor also shared screenshots of alleged text conversations between her and Dakota, with one showing the #DadTok member appearing to criticize Taylor for posting content that could impact her ongoing legal issues at the time. In another exchange, Dakota allegedly asked Taylor to “help” watch their son once she was done “editing [her] video with [her] tits out.”
“I just had a baby, was providing and protecting per usual,” Taylor said of the texts from her ex. “My smart mouth is what got me in trouble too.”
While Taylor’s post-a-thon continued into Friday, she informed followers that she doesn’t really care what she “shouldn’t post” on social media, claiming that she’s “done protecting” her baby daddies, “as they are still torturing [her] at [her] lowest.”
“ … I’m exhausted all around and hope the courts see who they really are,” she concluded. “That was just scratching the surface of what I’ve been through.”
It does not appear that Dakota or Tate have responded to Taylor’s social media rant at this time.

When you are willing to engage in such a vicious cycle, and play Russian roulette with such a toxic relationship, all for the sake of being “good entertainment” to the world enable to secure that paycheck, this is inevitably the consequences. Plain and simple. Get a real job, get your life in order, be the best mom you can be, and choose normalcy over fame and fortune.
