Wanna See the Face of the Masked Man of ‘The Bachelorette’?

He's actually pretty good looking!

The Ashley has to hand it to the producers of The Bachelorette. They really went out of their way to find some of the country’s meanest and strangest creepnuggets for this season. Poor Ashley Herbert.

Anyway, one of the men that has caused a great deal of buzz is Jeff (a.k.a. “The Masked Man.”) He has worn a Batman mask over his face so that he can make a statement about how looks don’t matter. Um…sounds like he wants to make a statement alright: it’s called “Gimme attention!”

Anyway, according to an interview that People magazine did with host Chris Harrison, Jeff will finally unmask himself on Monday’s episode. However thanks to the good people at KSDK, a television station in Jeff’s hometown of St. Louis, we can see what’s underneath the mask a little bit earlier!

Here’s a news story from 2009 that features an unmasked Jeff talking about how he rescued a three-legged dog. (OK, he just scored major points from The Ashley for that.)

“Another bomb is being dropped on Monday,” Chris told People. “The masked man will be unveiled … The joke went on a little too long and it became a bigger issue than he thought it would.”

It sounds like the guy was an odd duck even when he wasn’t being filmed.

“I never saw the guy’s face until he took the mask off,” said Chris. “I heard at night he would get in bed, face the other direction, take off the mask and put on a sleeping mask. He was hardcore about it.”

The Ashley is shocked that he is actually pretty good looking under the mask. I was kind of expecting/hoping that he would be a cyclops or something.

Monday’s episode is said to be “the most shocking episode of ‘The Bachelorette’ ever.” Hmm…if I had a nickel for every time I heard that line….
