‘Bachelor’ Baby: Sean & Catherine Lowe Are Expecting Their First Child

“She has a Bachelor bun in the oven!”

After two years of wedded bliss (and numerous reality TV show appearances), Bachelor stars Sean and Catherine Lowe are expanding their family.

The couple, who met and married on reality TV, announced on Tuesday that Catherine is pregnant with their first child.

“It’s happening! I’m going to be a dad!” Sean captioned a photo posted to his Instagram account that showed him rubbing Catherine’s stomach. Catherine posted a similar photo, along with the caption “Hey baby…”

Sean and Catherine, who are currently airing all of their marital dirty laundry on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, have been bombarded with baby questions by fans and the media since they were married on live TV in January 2014. On April Fool’s Day this year, Catherine joked about being pregnant, which offended many of the couple’s fans. Sean later explained that the joke was a hat tip to all of the people who kept bugging them to have a baby.

“On nearly every picture Catherine posts on Instagram, she gets flooded with comments from people who tell her she looks pregnant,” Sean wrote to explain the ‘bad’ joke. “We understand that many of these people have no ill intent and are genuinely just hoping that we’re pregnant because they want to see us start our family, and we totally get that. But at the same time, it would be really tough for any woman to hear that ‘she looks pregnant’ on a daily basis when she’s not…”

Anyway, now that the Lowes are expecting, their heads are probably spinning with all of the reality TV gigs they may be offered. The possibilities for baby specials, ‘Bachelor’ appearances and even a family reality show are endless! Hey, maybe Cat can even pop the kid out on live TV!

Only kidding…kind of….

As a Roundup reader pointed out, it was only a few days ago that Catherine scolded fans for saying she looked pregnant. (She was, in fact, obviously pregnant at the time and most likely knew it.)

“It’s not fun to be constantly told I look pregnant,” Catherine tweeted on December 2. “Just an FYI, ladies. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but be mindful. Please.”

She told a fan that she was constantly accused of looking pregnant.

“It’s been a nonstop for almost two years now. I had to finally say something,” she tweeted to a fan.

Anyway, check out Sean’s post below:

  1. And another side note, how much does anyone want to wager that she comes up with some kind of maternity item to sell…whether it be baby announcements, maternity clothes, etc…

  2. Just a few days prior to posting this she reamed her followers for how hurtful it is to keep asking her or telling her she looks pregnant, all the while she knew she was pregnant…

I guess if they can keep milking the reality cash cow good on them. Sean already has stated that he doesn’t want to do corporate America…so if it means trying to stay in the limelight, it’s not the first reality tv people who keep trying to stay in their 15 minutes.

Anyways, they seem like they are decent people and do make it seem they are very happy with their marriage. It’s nice to see a couple who have a good solid marriage. Congrats to them….I hope Catherine doesn’t turn into the “I’m the only pregnant woman in the world” syndrome.

  3. That’s too bad that the baby will one day read they were already in need of marriage counseling at the time of getting prego. Babies don’t fix marriages and it’s sad if being on the show is just an attention scheme bc what baby deserves to come into a marriage where they make a mockery of their union.

    1. Theu said they only did marriage boot camp for the money. Theor narriage isnt actually in trouble from what i have read.
