For the last few years, MTV has invited (some) of the stars of its hit reality shows, Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 to its big award shows. This Sunday, the network’s VMA’s are taking place in New York City, and from what The Ashley hears, some of the ‘Teen Mom’ girls (and guys) will be hitting the Big Apple to take part in the festivities. However, not all of the show’s stars received an invite!
The Ashley’s sources tell her that all of the ‘OG’ and ‘Teen Mom 2’ girls received an invite to attend, as did the original dads, just as they have for the last few major MTV award shows. The “add-on” dads (those who didn’t appear on the show originally) did not receive an invite to the show.
Here’s who will be attending the VMAs on Sunday, from what The Ashley hears:
- Jenelle Evans (She will have her baby bump on full display, which is why she needed to confirm her pregnancy before she went. Her soulmate, David Eason, did not receive an invite to attend the show, although he managed to get into the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year, so that will likely be the case again this year.)
- Kail Lowry
- Gary Shirley (His wife, Kristina, was not invited to go with him.)
- Farrah Abraham
- Javi Marroquin (He was not officially invited to the show, but he will be attending the after-parties.)
Here are the people who are definitely not going, from what The Ashley hears:
- Maci Bookout (She is prepping for her bachelorette party in Vegas.)
- Chelsea Houska (Chelsea has never attended an award show and has no interest in doing so.)
- Leah Messer
- Jeremy Calvert (From what The Ashley hears, he did not get invited.)
- Jo Rivera (Jo was considering going but didn’t want to go unless he could get a ticket for his fiance, Vee Torres.)
- Nathan Griffith (He was not invited.)
- Corey Simms
The Ashley will update this if she finds out the statuses of the other cast members!

So interesting to me that they are considered celebs that can be invited but then again it’s to a show that gives awards for videos even though MTV doesn’t play them anymore.
Meanwhile Jenelle’s complaining about her lack of finances. She’s too rich for foodstamps and wic but not rich enough to keep supporting her lazy soulmate lurch.
I am just here because I have refreshed the page 100 times already waiting for one of The Ashley’s amazing teen mom OG recaps! LOL

I don’t know why but picturing Gary on the red carpet at the VMA’s is kind of funny.
Also, I always feel bad for Gary’s wife. Nobody really acknowledges her. And Gary treats her terribly. She seems like she has low self-esteem and he plays on it. So I kind of feel bad that she wasn’t invited.
Sometimes I feel bad for her and then I remember that she signed over custody of her daughter to her ex-husband because he didn’t want her to appear in the show. Then I stop feeling bad.

After watching this week’s premier of Teen Mom OG, I have only these observations to report:
1. Farrah is a Total B*tch!
2. Tyler is a real Jerk!
3. Amber is really Dumb!
4. Maci is so Fake!
and Catelynn is lazy!!
and genie beanie is obsessed with catelynn! seriously, I read The Ashley religiously and I’ve seen you comment something negative about catelynn every chance you get. do you know her? why are you so utterly disgusted with her body and lifestyle? what pleasure do you get out of contstantly commenting on her? how is she affecting your life?
Bahahha you think Genie is the only person who can’t stand CATELYNN??? Get on Reddit and you’ll see hundreds of others with the same responses.
News flash – She is fat and she is ugly. Get over it.
This is why I hate awards shows.
I agree. She’s always freaking out and getting her way. I will never understand why people give in to that. David is so strange. He gives me the creeps. Their relationship is an absolute joke.
