‘Counting On’ Stars Jill & Derick Dillard Expecting Second Baby

The Duggar Family is expanding…again.

Duggar daughter Jill Dillard and her husband Derick Dillard have just announced that they are expecting their second child. The Counting On stars made the announcement to the family’s media mouthpiece, People magazine, on Tuesday, stating that Jill is due to give birth in July.

The announcement isn’t exactly shocking, because…well, it’s the Duggars. However, the couple lived in Central America for most of 2016, and, although they returned to Arkansas a few months ago, the threat of the Zika virus still looms. Now that Jill is pregnant, it seems unlikely that they will return to Central America any time soon to continue their mission work.

Jill and Derick, who are already parents of one-year-old Israel, told People that they are thrilled to add another child to their family. The couple has not yet revealed whether they are having a boy or a girl.

"And after this one, Jill's excited to pump out at least 15 more kids!"

“We are so excited to be expecting Dillard baby #2!” Jill and Derick told the magazine in  a statement. “Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. We are thankful to God for this sweet child and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!”

Of course, this will not be the only new Duggar we will meet in 2017. Jill’s sister Jessa Seewald is expecting her second child with husband Ben in February. Jill’s other sister, Jinger, recently married Jeremy Vuolo and, if she follows the path her sisters took, will most likely turn up pregnant within the next few months.

In addition, Jill and Derick tell People that they are considering adopting a child.

“My mom’s adopted, so it kind of hits home with me,” Derick has said. “We both think it’s a wonderful thing. We’ve talked about it a lot, and we’re definitely considering it.”

Jessa and Ben have also expressed interest in adopting.

    1. Make saccharine videos and posts about how it was ‘God’s Will’ and shaming the crap out of anyone who chose otherwise. Get people to send them donations.

  1. Due in July…that means she literally pissed on a stick and told people. I got knocked up in November and mu due date was August

  2. They’re both sickly looking. um…congrats I guess. Hopefully her husband doesn’t have some kind of weird sickness.

  3. I think it’s interesting that they didn’t conceive until they got back to the US. Also, I always shocked how early the announce pregnancies.

  4. I had a feeling that’s why they hadn’t returned to their “mission work”. I’m sure Jill had a fit that it took her this long to conceive again.
