‘Hollywood Medium’ Tyler Henry Says He Tried to Warn Alan Thicke of Heart Issues Before His Death

Now that’s eerie…

Tyler Henry, who stars on the E! reality show Hollywood Medium, recently revealed that he tried to warn Growing Pains actor Alan Thicke that he may have a heart condition just months before Alan died.

Alan taped an episode of ‘Hollywood Medium’ in September 2016, three months before he died on December 13, 2016. During a recent appearance on the Today Show, Tyler revealed that he had told the 69-year-old actor and reality star that he should have his heart checked.

“That was a really interesting experience because as I sat with Alan, he was a total skeptic,” Tyler said. “Essentially what happened was a loved one, who’d died of a heart condition, came through and said, ‘Alan, you need to get your heart checked. Don’t be stubborn like I was.’ He was a skeptic and, sadly, ultimately passed away a couple of months later.”

Alan was playing hockey with his third son when he suffered chest pains and collapsed. After his death, it was discovered that a ruptured aorta had caused the star’s death.

Tyler said we will soon to get see Alan’s reading play out on TV when the episode of ‘Hollywood Medium’ airs. According to Tyler, he and the show’s producers were planning to not air the episode, out of respect for Alan’s family, but they decided to go forward with airing it after the family gave him their blessing.

Tyler said Alan’s wife, Tanya, even joined him to watch the episode.

“That was intense,” he said. “She actually wanted it to be aired, because she wanted to show the world Alan’s legacy and really honor his life. And when you guys watch that episode, that’s really what it’s about. It’s not focusing so much on his passing. It’s the amazing and incredible man he was. He was like a father to so many around the nation, so to get to connect, that was really special.”

Tyler said he believes Alan got some satisfaction from taping the show.

“The validations that did come through from family members for him I think gave him a sense of comfort,” Tyler added. “I’m really thankful that I was able to have that experience with him before he passed.”

The new season of ‘Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry’ starts May 17 on E!
