People who claim to have been present during the filming of Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 are beginning to speak out regarding the scandalous events that got production of the show shut down last week, and the details of the events keeping getting more and more disturbing. A crew member has stepped forward to give new details of the events that reportedly transpired.
As The Ashley previously reported, filming of ‘BIP’ came to a screeching halt last week after a producer filed an official complaint of misconduct in the workplace, after allegedly witnessing a sexual act between ‘BIP’ contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson while both were heavily intoxicated.
Witnesses told TMZ that Corinne was “out of it” as she and a drunk DeMario engaged in sex acts in a pool, while producers continued to film, despite that some cast and crew members reportedly stating that the participants may have been too drunk to consent.
In a new interview with Daily Mail, the crew member revealed just how intoxicated the couple was.
“When they climbed into the Jacuzzi, they were both loaded,” the crew member said. “Corinne proceeded to remove her bathing suit and things got increasingly sexual. There was hugging and kissing and touching, but before long, she seemed to go limp and was sliding under water.”
It has been stated that Corinne and DeMario did not have sex. However, Daily Mail‘s source claims that DeMario did try.
“DeMario kept trying to hold [Corinne] up and at the same time he appeared to be having intercourse with her,” the crew member said. “After he finished – which only lasted a few seconds – he lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her. She appeared to be unconscious.”
Only then did the crew step in, according to the source, but only to make sure Corinne got back to her room.
“At that point some of the crew came out and carried her off to her room,” the source said. “She was limp and seemed unable to walk on her own.”
Another source told TMZ that Corinne was out of it for several hours after the incident at the pool.
“Corinne was so wasted hours after the hook up that she could barely stand,” a witness told TMZ. “Two hours after the encounter, Corinne was ‘stumbling drunk, eyes closed, slurring badly and wearing her clothes inside out.'”
The crew member who spoke to Daily Mail stated that many of the crew members were “deeply disturbed” by the events.
“Not just at what happened, but over the way it was handled,” the person told the site. “One of the things that really disturbed people was that no one called a doctor or paramedic, which some felt they should have. Instead someone made the decision to just let her sleep it off.”
Corinne has reportedly said (off-record) that she did not remember any of the events from the night before when she woke up the next day. (TMZ reports that she has hired a lawyer.)
Although Corinne, DeMario and the show’s producers have not yet issued any official statements regarding the events, show host Chris Harrison issued a statement to People on Tuesday encouraging viewers to hold off on making judgments until all of the details are released.
“Let me start by saying the safety and care of the cast and crew of our show is of the utmost importance to us. It is with this thought in mind that we made the decision to suspend filming. An investigation into the situation was started immediately,” Chris’ statement reads.
He goes on to say that, “There are a lot of competing details in the various press accounts of the incident. And there’s a lot of misinformation out there too. We urge everyone to be patient until the investigation is complete.” (Click here to read Chris’ full statement on the events.)
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 4 was scheduled to premiere on August 8, but it is highly unlikely that the footage shot will ever make it on the air. At this time, it is not known if ABC will cancel the popular summer reality show for good.
ABC, Warner Bros., Corinne and DeMario have not confirmed or denied that any of the details from the various sites listed above are true or false…yet.
