‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Star Deena Cortese Announces She’s Pregnant With Her First Child

“I’ve got a little meatball cookin’ in here, guys!”

The Jersey Shore family is about to get even bigger!

Deena Cortese announced on Monday via Instagram that she and her husband Chris Buckner are expecting their first child, a baby boy. The couple also revealed that they are planning to name their son after Chris.

“Chris and I Decided to wait until we were ready to spill the beans!” Deena wrote in the caption of some maternity photos she posted. “Now that we are safely into our second trimester.. us and our little monkey are ready to tell the world Our little family is growing! We have a sweet little boy on the way! We Are truly blessed and our hearts are filled with so much joy and happiness. December can’t come soon enough! Daddy and Mommy can’t wait to meet you Christopher John you are going to be the most spoiled little boy ever!”

The pregnancy announcement comes just weeks after Deena told fans that she was not pregnant. As The Ashley previously reported, Deena chose not to go to Las Vegas earlier this month to join her ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ co-stars, who were there shooting part of the show’s second season. When fans asked Deena on social media if she declined to go to Vegas due to a pregnancy, she insisted she was not “with child.”

“I just want to make it clear that it’s not bc I’m pregnant that I am not in Vegas,” Deena wrote in an Instagram post that she soon deleted. “I am NOT pregnant. I am not in Vegas bc I have some personal stuff going on at home…that I need to attend to…which prevented my schedule and production schedule to match up accordingly. Now let’s put the rumors to rest. Thank you.”

After Deena revealed that she is, indeed, pregnant, though, her ‘Jersey Shore’ cast mates wasted no time in publicly congratulating her.

“So happy for you Deena!” Ronnie Ortiz-Magro wrote in the comment section of Deena’s post. “Love youuuuuuu to Deener and Chris Congratulations”

“Baby meatball time! Love you guys!” Lauren Pesce, the fiance of Mike Sorrentino, wrote.

“YAAAAASS my meatball is having a meatball!” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wrote, with Jenni “JWoWW” Farley adding, “Best day everrrrrr.”

“Congratulations my love,” former ‘Jersey Shore’ star Angelina Pivarnick added.

“Ugh cannot wait to meet this munchkin!” Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola wrote to Deena in the comment section. “So happy for you guys!”

  1. So the rumors were true! This boy will be in a much more loved and happier place than his “cousin” from Ronnie’s side…….congratulations! I’m sure she will be identical to Nicole as a mom, lol.

  2. I think she might of had a previous miscarriage. I lied until I was 14 weeks after losing my first one.

    1. Can’t blame you. I had lost one of my twins at 37 weeks 5 years ago. Still birth is unfathomable. I think my next pregnancy I just may keep quiet until I deliver. Going through that, it’s made me paranoid that there is no such thing as a “safe point” to announce.

  3. I’m so annoyed by the fact that she lied about it a few weeks ago. How about don’t comment period! This lying trend needs to stop!!

    1. Why is it any of your business, or any other person’s for that matter, whether or not she is pregnant. Perhaps she has experienced a previous loss, maybe even multiple losses, and wanted to wait until the time was right FOR HER, not you, or anyone else, to announce it?

    1. Exactly. She could have just said she would let her fans know what was going on when she was ready. I feel like going as far as to lie is a bit ridiculous.

      1. I think believing you have any right to know is more than a bit ridiculous. Unless that’s your baby in there, she has no obligation to tell you, or anyone else, unless she wants to.
