Justin “Bobby” Brescia is thrilled that he (and his sand-covered combat boots) won’t have to work with Lauren Conrad on The Hills: New Beginnings.
TMZ snagged Justin on Monday, the day he went to the MTV VMAs to announce that The Hills is being rebooted. When asked if he was surprised that Lauren—who was the star of the original show—was not participating in the reboot, he didn’t hold back, implying that Lauren (and other reboot sit-out Lo Bosworth) aren’t good people to work with.
“It’s a good cast. We’ve got all the good people left,” Justin said. “It’s gonna be good. Everybody’s happy. There are good vibes. When you’ve got s**tty people running around, it creates this ambiance you don’t need.”
(Apparently Justin is still mad about those comments Lauren made about his combat boots, eh?)
‘Hills’ cast members who are slated to appear in ‘New Beginnings’ include Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Justin Bobby Brescia, Stephanie Pratt, Frankie Delgado, Whitney Port and Jason Wahler. (Brody Jenner has not confirmed that he has signed on; however he is reportedly “in talks” to appear.)
Kristin Cavallari will likely not appear on the reboot, due to her contractual obligations with E! Her reality show, Very Cavallari, is currently airing on the network. However, in the past, Kristin has said that she would love to participate in a reunion of the cast.
According to Justin Bobby, the group that is participating in ‘New Beginnings’ is getting along well.
“Everybody’s chatting. Everybody’s smiling. Everybody’s having a good time,” he said.
Justin also reacted to the recent statements made by Lo, in which she claimed she needed “years of therapy” after appearing on Laguna Beach and ‘The Hills.’
“Duh…you could probably see that from a mile away when she first filmed, right?” Justin replied. “[She was] never a fan of mine so…”
The cast of ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ has not started filming yet. The show is expected to premiere in 2019.
