‘Married At First Sight’ Season 5 Couple Anthony D’Amico & Ashley Petta Are Expecting Their First Child

“She’s got a baby brewin’!”

Another Married At First Sight baby is on the way!

Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico, who met and got married on the fifth season of the show, announced on Tuesday that they are expecting their first child.

“We are so excited to finally be able to share this exciting news with everyone,” the couple told People magazine in a statement. “We have both always dreamed of having a child and we are so happy to finally be making our dreams come true together.”

Ashley and Anthony did not reveal when their baby is due, but did state that it will be sometime next year.

“We are over the moon and cannot wait to welcome our child into the world in the new year,” the couple’s statement read. “We can’t wait for this next journey in our lives to begin.”

On Instagram Ashley– who, during her season, expressed her desire to have a child early in her marriage to Anthony– posted a photo of her and Anthony holding a sonogram photo. Anthony also posted the big news to his Instagram account.

“I’m gonna be a Daddy!” he captioned a photo of himself with Ashley. “@ashleypetta and I are so excited to announce that we’re pregnant! Ashley and I have always wanted to be parents and can’t wait for our little one to arrive. Looking forward to the next chapter of our lives!”

Ashley and Anthony are one of four couples from ‘Married At First Sight’ who are still together. The other couples are Season 6’s Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre; Season 1’s  Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion; and Season 1’s Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner. (It has not yet been revealed which, if any, of the Season 7 couples are still together, as the season is still currently airing.)

Ashley and Anthony’s baby will be the third child born to couples who met on ‘Married At First Sight.’ In April, Shawniece and Jephte announced that they are expecting a baby, while Jamie and Doug welcomed their daughter, Henley, last year.

    1. No it wasn’t a stillbirth, it was a miscarriage at 4 months and therefore a fetus not a baby. Hate all you want, but I think there’s something wrong with people who obsess and obsess over a miscarriage. Yes it’s sad, but miscarriage is a fact of life; it meant something was wrong with the fetus and it wouldn’t have survived. Be sad for a bit, but then you eventually reach a point where it’s healthier to get over it. It was never a baby (the pregnancy didn’t progress that far) and was never technically “born” so Ashley is correct. Again, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but eventually you need to move on with your life

      1. Actually, she chose to terminate the pregnancy. There was something devastatingly wrong with the baby so they chose to terminate.
