Mackenzie Edwards Has Given Birth! Former ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Welcomes Son With Husband Ryan Edwards

“At least I don’t gotta deal with Maci for this one!”

It’s a boy for (former) Teen Mom OG stars Ryan and Mackenzie Edwards.

Radar Online reported (and The Ashley‘s sources confirmed) that Mackenzie gave birth to Ryan’s son early Tuesday morning. The baby boy was given the name Jagger, and weighed in at 7 lbs., 1 oz. (according to Radar).

While Ryan’s parents, Jen and Larry Edwards, were at the hospital, Ryan was not, as he is currently in a long-term treatment facility attempting to get help for his substance abuse issues.

As The Ashley previously told you, Ryan left for this most-recent stint in rehab about a month ago, and is reportedly scheduled to do about six months of inpatient rehab. (He is supposed to complete rehab around February 2019.)

From what The Ashley hears, MTV cameras were not at the hospital when Mackenzie gave birth. (This is no surprise, though, given that Mackenzie and Ryan were given the boot from the show before the current season began.)

It’s unlikely that Baby Jagger will appear on ‘Teen Mom OG.’ In July, Mackenzie claimed that, while MTV didn’t want her and Ryan on ‘Teen Mom OG’ anymore, the network wanted their baby to be able to appear on the show.

“They did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan’s parents so it would look like someone else is raising it…So they’re writing us out of the show right now and making it seem like we dipped out on our baby, on Bentley and on everyone. And that’s just not the case,” Mackenzie told E! News at the time. “If they don’t want to film now, then we don’t want to film later.”

Radar reports that Mackenzie has been living with her parents since Ryan left, and that Jagger will also be living at the Standifers’ house for the time being.

This is the second child for both Ryan and Mackenzie. Ryan is also the father of Bentley, the nine-year-old son he shares with Maci Bookout, while Mackenzie has son Hudson from her previous marriage.

Mackenzie has yet to comment publicly about the birth of her son. However, Ryan’s mom Jen tweeted “Blessed” on Monday night, which was the same night Mackenzie was being induced.

Baby Jagger is just one of several ‘Teen Mom’ babies to enter the world in 2018. ‘Teen Mom OG’ star Amber Portwood gave birth to son James in May, while Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska gave birth to daughter Layne in August. Javi Marroquin is expecting a child with his girlfriend Lauren Comeau in December, while Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are due to welcome their third child early next year.

  1. I’m sorry but this is not happy news. Yes, a new person born into the world, that’s great, it ain’t his fault he was born but he has a dad in rehab and a crazy b*tch for a mother. This won’t end well. I hope this kid lives a happy life regardless of all this. Maybe Ryan will recover. (and maybe money grows on trees!)

  2. Well…at least the baby’s healthy. Best of luck to baby Jagger with parents like Mack and Ryan. Notice how pissed Mack got because MTV wanted to film with the baby? She basically was like Jagger can’t film, unless we do. She sounds paranoid with that whole MTV would try and make it like we don’t take care of the baby, and that Ryan and her abandoned everybody…Like girl, SHUT UP already. You got kicked off the show because your husband couldn’t get his shit together. DEAL WITH IT.

  3. Despite everything I think Mack has done that is questionable, I hope all goes well for her and the baby. Bentley is pure happiness for Jen and Larry and I know their hearts are full of love right now. It’s doubtful, but maybe Mack will see now that the mtv cameras are not going to be knocking down her door, she can focus on her family, forget about holding out for Rhine (Bentley’s almost ten and he’s done nothing for him, nor has he matured one bit) and go back to school as soon as possible.

  4. This makes me so sad. For all parties involved. Even in the best circumstances only about 9 percent of heroin addicts stay clean without relapsing. Having a “wife” like Mack and parents like Larry and Jen make this all but impossible for Ryan, IMO.

  5. I’m happy the baby arrived safely and without complication. However, I feel sorry for him as well. I’m really hoping Ryan can stay clean and sober for his son’s sake. Sadly, in the back of my head I know that if he couldn’t do it for the son he has, why would he do it for a new one?

  6. I knew she was going to give birth around the same time as me haha. Luckily it doesnt matter. I find it annoying when the teen moms have given birth and people are like ugh, on my birthday. You are not related, why does it matter. No one will remember haha.

I have a scheduled c section tomorrow morning. Am nervous and excited. Me and my husband get to celebrate the birth of our firstborn daughter and our 1 year wedding anniversary on the same day.

      1. Yeah, that’s weird you were downvoted. Some people on here are weird af. Well anyways, good luck with your c-section and congratulations on your first baby girl!

    1. Congratulations on your family addition. Godspeed on your c-section. Don’t concern yourself about down votes.

    2. Who the hell would downvote this???!! Someone in need of serious therapy for their jealousy! Wow! Congratulations in advance mama to be Tracy!

  7. Unless BOTH Ryan and Mackenzie change, I can’t see this going well for them or their child, which is sad. Ryan going to an extended rehab is a big step but honestly, I can’t see him staying clean being married to someone like Mack who is not only a HUGE enabler but a big troublemaker between him and Maci (who is allegedly his “trigger”). I grew up with a drug addict father and an enabling mother so I know what kind of trauma kids endure from this situation. I hope everything works out for them though.

  8. Normally, I’d feel bad about a parent missing the birth of their child, however seeing how “involved” Ryan was with Bentley as an infant, I’d say this kid is better off. I just hope rehab works for Ryan.
