Adam Levine Reportedly Missed Out On A Nearly $30 Million Payday With His Exit From ‘The Voice’

“No regrets!”

Adam Levine’s exit from NBC’s The Voice has him missing out on a lot more than blind auditions and banter with Blake Shelton

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Maroon 5 frontman’s decision to abruptly leave the singing competition show after 16 seasons has him missing out on nearly $30 million, as he had already signed on to coach seasons 17 and 18.

This figure comes from Adam’s most recent per-season salary, which was reportedly “at north of $14 million,” the site claims.

As The Ashley already told you, Adam announced last week that his chair-turning days were behind him. His departure, however, came after both NBC and some fellow coaches had announced that the same lineup of coaches from Season 16—Adam, Blake, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson—would be returning to the panel for Season 17.

Following the news of Adam’s exit from the show, it was announced that former coach Gwen Stefani had signed on to fill the fourth chair for a fourth time, having previously coached during seasons 7, 9 and 12.

While Adam’s time with ‘The Voice’ has come to an end, the singer remains involved in NBC’s family of reality TV shows in his role as an executive producer for Songland, the network’s new song writing competition series.

  1. There’s no question that he doesn’t need the money. Also, what’s the point of that show? The season 1 winner lives in my town. You know what he’s up to now? He appears in a local commercial for a weight loss doctor and sings the jingle to his clinic.
Javier Colon (just in case you forgot who won season 1).

    1. Yeah The Voice isn’t known for actually making artist. Locally we had one girl go to compete, she was eventually elimated. She just does a local radio show now – not that it’s bad – but nothing that you’d think of like say how Idol launched Kelly Clarkson. It’s more a money maker for judges than turning out stars

  2. Turning down 30mil to do a job for a few months over two years, because I’m sick of it. That is so far from my life that I can’t even fathom it.

I wonder if any of them could do our full time jobs to live on our salaries.

    1. Absolutely not. The wealth inequality in America is insane. I’ll never see a fraction of what he makes in a *season* of work in my whole lifetime. Especially if I get sick and cannot afford to treat my illness.
