‘The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2’ Pits the U.S. Against the U.K.: Meet the Cast & Watch the Season 34 Trailer

Yes, you read that right… Season THIRTY FOUR.

The United States and the United Kingdom are about to bring a whole new meaning to “special relationship” when players from each country go head-to-head for their share of a million dollars on The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2.

MTV has announced that the 34th season of the competition series will premiere August 28, as two teams fight it out for money and, possibly even more important in this group, bragging rights. According to People, this season MTV will bring back the two-team format that fans last saw in 2009 on “The Ruins.” Another returning element to the show (for an impressive 24th time) is host TJ Lavin, who will be joining the group in the jungles of Thailand, though it’s safe to say his stay will be much cushier.

“Have fun beating the hell out of each other and sleeping in bunk beds. If you need me, I’ll be at the resort down the road.”

According to MTV, the 90-minute premiere episode will kick off with the winning team getting first pick from a lineup of “reinforcements” including two-time ‘Challenge’ champ Chris “CT” Tamburello, returning for his 16th season, as well as Geordie Shore‘s Dee Nguyen, Natalie “Ninja” Duran of American Ninja Warrior and Season 33 ‘Challenge’ champ, Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran of Survivor Turkey, all returning to the series for a second round.

Before pledging allegiance to your favorite team of red, white and blue, meet the 28 challengers who will be joining “The Reinforcements.”

  1. I’m knew to The Challenge with only 3/4 seasons under my belt. But I’m addicted. I love the give it all fight to the death, break bones these contestants get into.

  2. Can’t wait. The UK team seems stacked compared to the US though. It is good to see Laurel and Jordan back – the US will need them!

  3. So excited! Glad to see Georgia back, I will be wearing my Georgia egg shirt as much as possible 💜
