The America’s Got Talent judges’ table just got a lot less crowded!
Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union are reportedly leaving the NBC show and will not return for Season 15, Variety reported on Friday. (An NBC spokesperson has since confirmed to the site that the girls will not return in 2020.)
Julianne and Gabrielle only spent one season on the ‘AGT’ judging panel. They replaced the show’s longtime judges Melanie “Mel B” Brown and Heidi Klum on the summer reality hit for the 2019 season. So far, Julianne and Gabrielle have not given explanations for their departures from the show.
Variety reports that longtime judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandell are expected back for Season 15, as is new(ish) host Terry Crews, who also joined the show in Season 14 to replace Tyra Banks.
‘AGT’ has been on television since 2006 but still remains a huge hit in the summer season for NBC. In 2019, the show took home the People’s Choice Award for “Favorite TV Competition Show,” as well as the Teen Choice Award for “Choice Reality TV Show.”
NBC has yet to reveal who will replace Julianne and Gabrielle on the judging panel for Season 15.
