Olivia Plath is spilling the tea!
The Welcome to Plathville star hit TikTok on Monday to provide fans with a “storytime”…that came with a giant serving of tea about her ex-husband, Ethan Plath.
As The Ashley has previously reported, Ethan and Olivia split in 2023 after five years of marriage and fans watched as they (supposedly) finalized their divorce last year on the show. However, according to Olivia’s claims in her new video, she and Ethan aren’t actually legally divorced yet, due to Ethan allegedly stalling on finishing the divorce paperwork for over a year. Olivia explained that, earlier this month, she heard from her fair-haired ex out of blue, only to have him suddenly demand they hurry up and finalized their divorce.
According to Olivia, the reason that Ethan is in a rush to finish divorcing Olivia is because he is now engaged to be married again, despite still being legally married to her.
“Remember a year and a half ago when I tried to get divorced? This was all on TV, unfortunately,” Olivia said. “At first my ex wouldn’t sign divorce papers because he kept thinking I was going to come back. I very clearly was not and he had even said that he did not want to be with me, but he just had this idea that I was going to come back and it was going to blow over like every fight we had in the past and it would be fine. So he refused to sign papers…”
Olivia stated that, during an episode of ‘Welcome to Plathville,’ viewers were told that Ethan had finally signed the divorce papers.
“But what is not shown [on the episode] is he filled them out incorrectly and refused to put financial information which is needed in the state of Minnesota. So the court flagged the papers and [the divorce] never went through,” Olivia explained. “It wasn’t actually filed and we didn’t get divorced. And when I reached out to him to try to get him to fix the paperwork, he blocked me. And I remained blocked for like a year.”
Olivia went on to state that Ethan randomly unblocked her a few months ago and called her to demand a divorce.
“He was like, ‘Olivia, I’m sorry I made you wait but we need to get divorced immediately. Please collaborate on this, this needs to happen as soon as possible. I have an attorney, he’ll call you. Get this done please,'” she said.
“I know why he made me wait a year. It’s because his dad [Barry Plath] told him, like, ‘She’s making this process…this divorce all about her. Take your time, Ethan. Don’t rush into any paperwork,'” Olivia said. “Making it all about me?! As in, I don’t want to get threatened with a gun because I’m not a Christian Nationalist, so I don’t want to be married to you anymore? Sure, if that’s ‘all about me’ because I want to stay alive and I’m scared of you, sure.”
(As The Ashley previously reported, Olivia came forward last month stating that she had been a victim of domestic violence at Ethan’s hand during their marriage.)
Olivia said she told Ethan that, despite his demands that they immediately finish their divorce, she wasn’t able to comply and told him to contact her after Tax Day on April 15.
“Was that good enough for him? Oh no,” Olivia said, adding that Ethan had his attorney calling and texting her constantly, demanding that she get the divorce finalized.
“He sends me a text like, ‘Me and my attorney are fed up with you. We have to get this done. Please stop stalling. Cooperate with me or it’s going to be worse for both of us in the long run,'” she said
Oliva stated that she began to wonder why Ethan was suddenly in such a hurry to get their divorced finalized, after dragging his feet on it for over a year.
“Then I find out: he got engaged,” she said.
“Imagine proposing to a girl and being like, ‘Will you become my wife?’ and she says yes and having to be like, ‘Oh, I have to legally divorce my other wife first,'” she said.
“Not that I’m his wife, in life, but by government papers I am because he refused to collaborate and sign them!” Olivia continued. “He’s still legally married to me because he refused to work with me for over a year, but he already got engaged to another girl!
“He would not give me the chance to peacefully move on for over a year, but as soon as he wants to move on I have to jump on his timeline,” Olivia stated, adding that she has considered refusing to work with Ethan on the divorce just to teach him a lesson.
“You’re a petulant man-child,” Oliva said of her ex. “…Good luck setting a wedding date– you’re f**king married, bro!
“But I know if I didn’t collaborate on this, I would get five minutes of laughs and then it doesn’t do anything for me. I would still be legally married to said petulant man-child and it doesn’t help me get forward in life. I don’t want to be tied to him anymore. I want to be divorced. I don’t really want to give in to a man like that and collaborate but I’m just going to do it.
“I’m so sick of him being in my life,” she added.
She then issued Ethan’s new fiancé— who is named Teagan Nichols— a message.
“Good luck, Teegan!”
Ethan first introduced Teegan to his fans via an Instagram post in January.

Teegan— who is the mother of a young daughter— seemingly confirmed that she is, indeed, engaged to Ethan. In a group for people buying and selling Johnny Lightning diecast cars, Teegan recently wrote that she was searching for a particular car to surprise her fiancé with his birthday.
Ethan has not publicly commented on Olivia’s claims or announced his engagement to Teegan.

Do I believe Ethan was full of misogyny and probably verbally abusive?..yes.
What I question is why Olivia is STILL using him and his family as a platform when she says she wants nothing to do with them.
I think Ethan is probably most of what she said about him, however Olivia is also manipulative and wants to continue living of the Plath name. There was ZERO reason for her to do this publicly if she claims that she wants to just be divorced and done with that family.
Considering the lag from filming to when the show airs, God only knows how long it’s been since she *said* she’s moved on. Around 3 years is my guess.
