Amber Portwood Responds After Her ‘Teen Mom’ Co-Star Ashley Jones Drags Her in Rant; Ashley Unleashes on Amber Again (Recap)

Let’s get ready to ruuuumble! Again.

Amber Portwood is responding after her Teen Mom: The Next Chapter co-star Ashley Jones absolutely dragged her on TikTok Live earlier this week, calling Amber out for her (lack of) parenting, her treatment of her teen daughter Leah and even the amount of hours Amber clocks on her couch per week.

On Thursday, Amber stepped off her couch and went outside. (The Ashley will give you a moment to recover from the surprise.) Amber took to TikTok Live (again) to address Ashley’s statements, as well as some comments her other co-star Jade Cline has made about her in recent weeks. Later, Ashley gave her thoughts on what Amber had to say about her.

The Ashley is going to attempt to recap this ridiculousness for you…

Amber first made it clear that she was aware of Ashley’s rant about her.

“I heard a certain somebody was online talking about me, guys,” Amber said as she looked around in wonder at what life outside her living room actually looks like. “Just thought I would say hi to you guys from the ‘couch.’

“I haven’t talked about anybody on the show, but everybody’s got something to say about me,” Amber said. “It’s just the craziest thing. You’re gonna make me look crazy like this. I’m trying to relax you guys.”

“It’s nice that you can take time off from sitting on your couch and cussing people out on TikTok Live at 4 a.m. to relax.”

“I’m livin’ rent free in their heads all day, apparently,” Amber continued. “Let them yap. I feel like even Cate[lynn Lowell] overstepped. But listen, me and Cate, we talked at least…”

(As The Ashley previously told you, Amber stated earlier this month that she and Catelynn had made up, even though Amber had accused Cate and Maci Bookout of “turning on” her for money.

Amber then addressed a person she knew that was nearby, telling the person that she was “just gonna chill over here, being a horrible person and all!”

“Oh sure, now that you’ve stepped outside and are talking to real people, we’re chopped liver, Amber?! We see how it is!”

Amber then expressed how she feels seeing Ashley (and some of the other girls from the show) speaking about her life.

“I think it’s hilarious. If you’re talking about me for some reason…guys, I’m just trying to chill,” she said. “And I have to deal with that bullcrap…”

“I’m out in nature,” Amber continued. “I’m just surrounded by mountains and trees right now. So, it’s been really good.”

“Usually the only ‘mountains’ I’m around are my heaps of unwashed laundry on my bed!”

Amber then told fans that Ashley was correct about one thing she said in her rant: that she does, indeed, love her couch.

(The Ashley never thought she’d type that sentence, but here we are…)

“I’m not really on my couch, we’re in the wilderness. I do love my freaking couch though. And my bed. It’s very comfortable,” she added. “I do not care what people say.”

“I need some relaxation time. Do you KNOW how hard it is to move a couch outside by yourself!? I’M DONE!”

Amber then spoke directly to Ashley, as well as Jade Cline— who has also been outspoken about the disgust she felt watching Amber’s actions this season.

“Jade and Ashley, listen, remember when I was in between y’all, before you started busting each other’s heads and it was like nothing. Remember that stuff? I do,” Amber said cackling, before telling Jade and Ashley that they could have just texted her if they had something they wanted to say.

“You have my phone number,” Amber told the girls. “…Seventeen years and these chicks are trying to jump on here, talking about my life still. What are we doing right now in life?”

She then shaded Jade and Ashley for not leaving ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ like she apparently did, insinuating that they need the money from the show and she doesn’t.

“…Can you walk away from a couple hundred grand, you guys?” she asked Jade and Ashley. “No, you can’t. You can’t, so why are you on here looking at me?”

“…TikTok is not the place where I come to start talking about people, though. Y’all already know that,” Amber said.

“Um…since WHEN!?”

“It’s still entertainment,” Amber said elsewhere in the Live. “Why do you think these girls still keep talking about me?”

Amber then addressed the scene from the Season 2B finale that caused a great deal of controversy. As The Ashley previously reported, Leah sent a text to Amber (on-camera), to let her mom know that it’s been her choice to cut contact with Amber and that Amber’s online activities (aka rants on TikTok Live) played a part in that decision. Amber just happened to be filming for the show when Leah’s text was sent and she was not happy after she realized she had been set up. Instead of answering producers’ questions, Amber turned to the camera and directly addressed Leah and Gary Shirley, calling Leah “rude” and disrespectful, and Gary a “nasty man” and a “prick.”

“MTV did that on purpose,” Amber said during her TikTok Live on Thursday of the scene. “If MTV wants to put me in that position, when I hadn’t heard from anybody for six months to a year, then MTV’s going to get that reaction, which is ‘Hell no. I’m not going to do anything. I’m not going to text or do nothing, but you guys are the only reason this is happening right now.”

Later that night, Amber was back on Live to talk about why she left the show

“It was like fake stuff, for the sake of what? Why would I need to fake anything?” she said. “There’s too much crazy crap that happens anyway. I don’t want to do that stuff. It’s weird. I couldn’t do it. It would take something really drastic [to get me back on the show]. Peace is better than anything, guys, our mental stability is worth more.”

Ashley decided to surf onto TikTok Live herself on Thursday to respond to Amber’s response (as you do). Once again, Ashley absolutely dragged Amber.

“Ready for Round 2 of me going ‘Portwood AF’ on Portwood?!”

“I saw Amber, you made a little Live in response to me,” Ashley began. “I’m so surprised because you were so calm. Your demeaner was so calm. It was almost like you should be talking to your daughter that way. I appreciate the calmness, though, because you don’t talk to Gary, Kristina or Leah like that. It just makes me believe that people only go so far with people they know they can go so far with.

“So good to know you’re not totally crazy,” Ashley continued. “You know exactly what’s going on. Secondly, you said something along the lines of people are hating on you. No one’s hating on you. You have NOTHING that I would ever want. Including [not having] custody of either of your kids. That’s just really not the path I chose to take. You might be better off saying [you’re being hated on] by some of the other girls, but for me that doesn’t really apply.”

Ashley then addressed Amber saying she doesn’t understand why people from the show talk about her when she doesn’t talk about any of them.

“That’s not true. You talk about your daughter often, and Kristina often,” Ashley said. “And it’s also always very negative. I don’t know what crystals you’ve got around your house, or what those voodoos dolls are doing but they’re not doing anything.”

“Hey! Leave the ‘Krystals’ in Amber’s life outta this!”

Ashley then (hilariously) addressed Amber bragging about going outside and not being nestled in her regular indentation on her couch.

“I’m so glad you took 16 steps to your backyard to prove to everyone on the Internet that you get off that couch!” Ashley said. “I’m still hoping that Rent-a-Center comes for it.”

“How DARE you!? Wishing harm on my couch is a bridge too far, Ashley!”

Ashley finished off her statement to Amber by telling her that she’s “just a better mother than” Amber is. Ashley also sent well wishes to Leah.

  1. I cannot possibly describe in words how much the constant “you guyssss” bothers me. I can just imagine her physically peeling herself from her couch and going in her back yard like “I’LL SHOW HER!”

    1. I bet if amber actually got a job she would feel better about herself and things would improve for her.. however eventually it would fall apart in chaos cause people like her create huge problems at work and eventually leave or get fired after practically burning the place down

  2. “I haven’t talked about anybody on the show, but everybody’s got something to say about me,” Amber said.
… what? She’s talked about Leah, Gary, Maci, Cate, and now she’s talking about Jade as well. Her whole 2025 so far has been nothing but outing herself as a gigantic liar 😒 30-something and still acting like a child. Weird

  3. I was expecting more of a crazy response from ambien tbh. But like some of ya all pointed out- she knows who she should back down from and Ashley is one of them. I know saying anything to her is a waste of time because she’s so delusional she will never see the error in her ways and will always be the victim, but it’s a tad satisfying knowing she’s being called out and reading it 🤷‍♀️

  4. I am living for Ashley’s takedowns! She has Amber’s number and has obviously been reading THE Ashley.

  5. Amber is a classic abuser. She goes hard after the ones that don’t fight back and IMMEDIATELY sits the fuck down when it’s someone who will actually whoop her ass. And, if it came down to it, Ashley could definitely take Amber.

      1. Amber is more than a bully. This is abuse. What she’s doing to Leah is emotional and mental abuse.

    1. Ashley is THAT girl. She is beautiful , articulate and intelligent . Amber could never! Her response to Ambers response was beautifully executed. Well done!

  6. The most relatable thing about Amber is her love for the couch/bed. I too love my sitting places but NOT to the detriment of my kid(s.)

  7. I wasn’t an Ashley fan, but that’s mainly because I never really was able to watch her seasons and get to know her. I am 1000% here for this though! She is damn spot on about Amber. Amber is a million percent enabled by those around her and she then acts like a spoiled ass child. There’s a huge difference between being kind to Ambien because of mental illness and driving her lazy ass around and allowing her to walk all. the fuck. over. Leah, Gary and the rest of the family. Amber KNOWS they will take her shit and she uses it.

  8. Again, zero self-reflection. What else is new? Amber is useless, she will never change. She will live a miserable life like this. What a mess.

  9. Amber needs some kind of life coach. Her self awareness is ZERO. It’s like she cannot see how she is coming across to everyone. It’s very sad, almost a waste of a life when it could all be so different for her.

  10. I’m not an Ashley fan but I am loving this. She dragged Amber so bad.🤣I did notice the same thing that Ashley did. Amber didn’t get irate once. She didn’t threaten to whip anyone’s ass. She didn’t call anyone a disrespectful prick. Amber is your typical bully. She bully’s people that don’t fight back and she knows Ashley would fight back. And Amber would lose.

    1. Yep
100% Amber can control her emotions, her cussing, her aggression and physical abuse when she wants to. She knows when she can dish it out & who will take it and who will head for the hills (Gary 2.0, we never really knew ya) and who will give it right back 10-fold.
      🍿🍿🍿

    2. Idk i feel like the reason amber was calm was more to contradict the image ashley painted of her (which is true). She knew people would be looking for her response and if she acted crazy again it would reinforce everything ashley said. Amber has never wanted to be a mom. At this point she’s better off admitting that and living the life she wants and that would improve life for leah gary Kristina and quite literally everyone in Amber’s life. How can anyone stand to be around someone so delusional and uncaring?

      1. She doesn’t want to be a mom, but she needs people to love her. She expects Leah to have her on a pedestal, everyone else as well. She’s got a really skewed sense of reality.
