Another day, another example of why Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei’s split was inevitable.
As fans have seen throughout Season 2 of The Valley, despite the former spouses having parted ways, they remain at each other’s throats over everything from cheating rumors and money issues, to “hooker” allegations and, most importantly, the coparenting their daughter Isabella.
On a recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Jesse was questioned about Isabella’s 2020 birth, as his estranged wife has recently accused him of being “very controlling in the delivery room.” According to podcast host Amanda Hirsch, Michelle has claimed that Jesse didn’t want her to have an epidural or a C-section, though Jesse revealed this week that he actually had more preferences as to how his then-wife gave birth to their child.
Jesse admitted that he “took control” of Isabella’s delivery “100 percent,” stating that he felt that it, in that moment, it was his “job to make the decisions.”
“ … But it was something that we discussed,” he said. “I was hoping that it would be natural-ish, right? Like, she would go into labor, it would take 4 to 5 hours, she would push and the baby would come out.”
“You f**king try to push without an epidural, Jesse,” Amanda replied.
“So I had brought up [the idea of] home birth, natural birth, and Michelle was like, ‘Absolutely not,’ but we had conversations about it … ,” he stated.

Jesse went on to explain that these things were important to him because he didn’t want his daughter to “come into a world full of drugs” or in a “stressful environment.”
“ … Like, all these things that you read about and you hear about, whether they were true or not, it’s what I believed in my head … ,” he claimed, noting later on the podcast that Isabella was born in 2020 amid the pandemic “lockdown boom.”
Jesse insisted that he wasn’t “that controlling” in the delivery room and that Isabella’s birth was actually “a partnership” between himself and Michelle.
As far as the epidural conversation, he said he “just asked about it” in the delivery room, as he was unsure if it “went into the bloodstream.” Though he was informed that it did not– and Michelle did, in fact, get an epidural– Jesse revealed that he had additional concerns as Michelle’s labor continued.

“ … when she was stalled at 7.5 [cm dilated], we started having the Pitocin conversation,” he said, referring to synthetic form of oxytocin, which is sometimes used to induce labor. Jesse said that after the doctor explained to him that Michelle would likely need a C-section if she wasn’t induced, he ultimately told the doctor, “fine, just do it.”
A couple hours later, Isabella was born.
Jesse went on to claim that Michelle’s account of Isabella’s birth is nothing but an attempt to start a “one-sided narrative” about his alleged “control issues.”
According to Jesse, Michelle is creating this narrative about him by way of her newly launched podcast, Pursuit of Sassiness with Michelle Saniei, where Jesse noted she is often joined by “friends that are super-supportive” and her boyfriend, Aaron Nosler, who has appeared on multiple episodes of ‘The Valley’ this season.
Meanwhile, as The Ashley previously told you, Jesse is currently dating Lacy Nicole, who isn’t seen or mentioned by name on ‘The Valley.’
Jesse’s version of events differs greatly from how Michelle told it back in March. During the premiere episode of her podcast, Michelle stated that Jesse was “anti-everything” in terms of labor and delivery-related drugs and procedures.

“I arrived to the hospital and I said, ‘Give me that epidural immediately.’ And Jesse was very anti-everything. He wanted natural,” Michelle said. “But I’m 4 cm [dilated] and I [thought I was] going to die. When I did do the epidural, I was stuck at 7 cm for like a day.”
Michelle claimed that Jesse fought the doctor when he was told Michelle would need a C-section, due to her rising blood pressure.
“Then Jesse starts arguing with the doctor, like, ‘No, she’s not going to have that.’ He wanted to help induce me,” she said. “They’re arguing and finally my doctor is like, ‘Do you want her to die? Or do you want to have a healthy baby? We’re doing this now. I’m overruling you.’ And [the doctor] did it and thank God that night I delivered Isabella.”
New episodes of ‘The Valley’ air Tuesdays on Bravo.

This Old Amish Grandfather bloomer wearing man is one of the grossest people on current reality tv. He thinks WAY more of himself than he should. He isn’t good looking, he’s SHORT, he does NOT NEARLY have the impeccable sense of style he BELIEVES he does, he has no respect for money (therefore he will never have the wealth he tries to put on he has), and worst of all – he has now forever planted into the earth that is reality tv and the internet for his daughter, how a woman should be treated and what is expected and “okay” for her to accept from a man.
Great job you gnarly tool.
Don’t forget Jesse also wouldn’t take her to the hospital, because it was the middle of the night. He woke up, made breakfast then tried to force Michelle to eat it. She was sp nauseous she threw up.
Jesse is a piece of work.
Jesse will do well as a commander when trump finally turns America into Gilead.
At least come into the situation TRULY educated re childbirth if you wanna have input not to mention try and control the situation. Saying she wasn’t going to have a c-section? OMG shut up and sit down you idiot. He should’ve been served divorce papers right afterwards.
Yuck.
He should have been booted from the hospital honestly. Gross.
Great. Another man who thinks a woman’s body is his therefore he can make all of the decisions.🙄What a sanctimonious prick.
unless i’m unconscious and our baby is at risk you don’t get any control! labor is stressful enough without everyone’s permission and demands on the women!
I have no time for “men” like this. Sometimes, not getting an epidural can stall labor. He should have just STFU. It’s a woman’s choice. I had some with an epidural, some without. One face up drug out by forceps. It’s about the safety of the newborn. Things can go wrong at the drop of a hat. Nobody needs some dude in the mother’s ear telling her what to do
Jesse just killed any goodwill. Once he has a uterus he can control that. What a fart-smelling, essential oil-drinking dick.
