Jenelle Evans is denying most of the claims her estranged husband David Eason made in March regarding their divorce, property division and custody of their daughter Ensley.
The Ashley can exclusively reveal that, this week, the former Teen Mom star filed a response to David’s counterclaim, and essentially shot down all of the statements her former soulmate made in his response to Jenelle’s initial divorce filing back in February 2024.
As The Ashley told you last month, Jenelle asked for— and was granted— more time to get her response to David’s claims. On Thursday, she finally answered David’s counterclaim. David’s response in March contained a few bombshells, including that he wanted custody of Ensley, and asked that Jenelle be required to pay him child support. He also claimed that he was unable to afford his legal fees for to the case, and asked the judge to make Jenelle pay his legal fees.
In her filing this week, Jenelle basically denied everything David stated in his document. (For the majority of her responses to David’s claims, Jenelle stated that a response was not needed, but if an answer should become required, she denies what David is saying.)
First, Jenelle disputed David’s claim that both he and Jenelle are “suitable persons to have the custody and supervision” of Ensley, and that it would be in Ensley’s best interest for a court to decide the issues of custody and visitation.
As The Ashley has previously reported, Jenelle wants full custody of Ensley, with David only getting visitation with his daughter after he takes a court-ordered psychological evaluation. (Based on court records obtained by The Ashley, it does not appear that David has done so yet. However, in February Jenelle filed another Cause of Action to demand that David take the test.)
David has not seen Ensley since February 2024, when he and Jenelle split. Shortly after that, Jenelle took Ensley and moved to Las Vegas, where she currently resides. David is currently living in North Carolina with his girlfriend Kenleigh Heatwole.
Jenelle also denied David’s claim that she is “an able-bodied female capable of providing support and maintenance for the use and benefit of” Ensley if/when David received custody of the girl, and that Jenelle should have to pay him child support.
Jenelle stated that this statement contains “legal conclusions to which an answer or response is not required. To the extent an answer or response is required, [Jenelle] denied the allegations.” (This is how she responded to nearly all of David’s statements.)
Moving on to how their property should be divided between them, David stated that the property that he and Jenelle acquired during their marriage is “marital property which this court is entitled to divide equally and equitably between the parties.”
Jenelle denied this.
Jenelle also flat-out denied David’s claim that their marital property should be divided unequally in his favor, and that she should have to pay David’s expenses from the lawsuit.
The former swamp-dwelling soulmates are due to next meet up for a non-jury hearing in July for this case.

She only is fighting for custody bc its david and shes has an act to put on. She dosen’t give two shits about any of her kids.
She should have just replied “I got this feather in my hair and everything “ or whatever she said to Dustin about the Ke$ha concert
Dude, everyone knows that Jenelle’s esophageal spasms prevent her from being able-bodied, unless a vacation and/or partying is involved.
So let’s get this straight, he wants Janelle to pay his legal fees because he can’t afford to. Wants child support because he is broke. But wants custody of Ensley so Janelle would have to pay him child support. He claims Janelle is abled bodied and can afford to pay him child support. So he basically he is broke but is expecting Janelle to pay his way still and is using Ensley as a pawn to keep the money coming in. He is abled bodied so why can’t he support himself without Janelle or his girlfriend? He is unfit to be a parent if he can’t support his kid without relying on Janelle or his girlfriend’s money.
People were trashing DKD online and Kenleigh posted that David has a job and is paying all of her bills. David still hasn’t paid any child support to any of his children though.

I’d rather my kids be raised by actual dogs than either one of these morons. That said, I’m still going to begrudgingly say that Ensley will be better off with David than she will with Jenelle in the long run. He’s the one that actually fed the kids and handled the day-to-day when they were together. Jenelle has since left her kids in the care of legitimately whoever she can find just so she doesn’t have to deal with them. I also don’t think he’ll abuse her like he did the boys because she’s his flesh and blood so he views her as superior, but Jenelle will eventually become jealous of her as she gets older and/or push her into following in her OF footsteps.
David likes to choke kids and kill animals. He is also blocked from contacting his son and he hasn’t paid a dime in child support for any kid he had, but his girlfriend is posting online that he pays all of her bills. David shouldn’t be in charge of taking care of an ant farm ffs.
And Jenelle allowed him to do that to her kids and animals and even went so far as to adamantly defend him. Plus she also leaves Ensley with her random soulmates. Like I said, I wouldn’t give a kid to either one, but the sad fact is that Ensley will have to go to one or the other.
I think they both should take a psychological evaluation and have their social media postings from the last 5years be included for review and use to help determine if they should have parental rights. David’s violent, gun loving, animal slaughtering, posts and Janelle’s trampy whoha pics should impress the court.
So it took her a year+ to basically say “nu-uh” and “no”. That’s some genius level thinking right there!
Although I do agree with her that he should be forced to have a psychological evaluation, I ALSO think she should too. I think they both should be forced to have a full psych eval, along with periodic ( full and unannounced) drug and alcohol testing, proper consistent therapy, anger management, parenting classes, etc… before EITHER of them is allowed any sort of parental rights. Yes, that does mean I think the children should not be in either of their care, but placed somewhere they can thrive and have all the love and support they’ve never have but so very much deserve.
Sadly, none of that will ever happen, except the very slim possibility that he might get his psych eval and that’s only because a judge has already made that order. No one has ever ordered anything for her and they damn well should, especially drug and alcohol testing-because she’s clearly still very much an alcoholic with a serious drug problem. I wish more judges actually gave a flying fuck about the children people choose to bring into this world.
I remember seeing a video of Jenelle once, she was literally bragging because she had been forced to take parenting classes multiple different times.
Something like “Can anyone else say they’ve taken 6 (unsure about the number) parenting classes before? No, didn’t think so.”
She really thinks the weirdest things are a flex.

You know what’s really heartbreaking? Look at pictures of Ensley. Even just a quick google search, under the images tab, of “Ensley Eason” will show you a girl who you can just see the unhappiness in. That girl doesn’t look genuinely happy like ever. I have raised three kids, I have taken thousands of pictures, you see those big toothy grins and you can read the joy in their faces. This poor child looks so deeply unhappy. She deserves so much better. 💔💔
Kaiser looks like that too. He always has. Still does. The absolutely crazy part is that he actually did look happy with Nathan. I know, hard to believe. I remember looking at pics from years ago and seeing it. Don’t get me wrong. Nathan is an absolute maniac and definitely a danger to women. I don’t know if maybe he actually was loving and kind to Kaiser for a while. It’s very sad Nathan is such a mess. Contrary to what we see. I do think he loves Kaiser. He’s just fallen so hard into a hole. He can’t get out.
If david has even a decent lawyer, they’re going to bring up all that crap Jenelle has been up to, just since the split alone. She’s not going to be looking too great herself.

I hope things turn out ok for the kids. That is really what matters the most. It’s sad that these are the only two possible outcomes. One definitely won’t take care of ensley but has the funds to provide. The other will probably take care of her but is also a raging, broke bum. This poor girl.
Is it odd that she asked for an extension then just replied “deny” to each thing? I don’t know how this stuff works so I really can’t say, but that just seems strange.

His refusal to do the psych evaluation says a lot about him & actually being serious about anything regarding Ensley. We know what it’s going to come back with but JE is correct in wanting him to do this before anything happens.
Yes. Worked on a case where the father refused to do this. Guess who didn’t win custody or visitation of ANY kind?
