‘Teen Mom’ Star Farrah Abraham (Badly) Loses Her Bid for Austin City Council; Sets Sights on 2028 Mayoral Run

No doubt Farrah is trying to get the “manager” of Austin on the phone to report this loss as a hate crime…

Farrah Abraham’s bid for Austin City Council has come to an end, though the former ‘Teen Mom’ star warns claims she’s not done pursuing a career in politics just yet.

KUT News reported on Wednesday that Farrah finished fourth in the four-way race for Austin City Council District 5, earning just over 10 percent of votes (about 3,565). Candidate Liz Brink finished ahead of Farrah with 16 percent (5,674 votes), while David Weinberg had 26.18 percent (9,283)– enough to put him in the December 12 runoff against incumbent Ryan Alter, a Harvard-educated attorney who received 47.77 percent of votes (16,941).

“If you ask me, you all backed the wrong alum.”

While Farrah’s mouth is currently wired shut after undergoing major jaw surgery in September, she didn’t let that stop her from taking to social media to fire off multiple statements following Tuesday’s election.

“Thank you to all who voted for change, and now you see what’s really going on in local politics, this is what keeps our kids uneducated and broke, the same bad choices from locals is disappointing,” Farrah posted to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, along with a graphic showing the results of the District 5 race.

In a series of follow-up posts, Farrah sounded off on various propositions that were on Tuesday’s ballot, while throwing out allegations of “corruption” and urging Austin residence to “wake up.”

Later in the day, Farrah did her big one by firing off an extremely wordy “Post-Election Review,” where she soft-launched her 2028 run for mayor.

“Thank you to the thousands of neighbors who voted Abraham for Austin!” Farrah wrote. “This was lesson one– and the path to 2028 has officially begun. [Ryan] Alter might work for me in 2028.”

Deb’s look says it all after reading that last quote from Farrah…

After reminding constituents that District 5 is “locked in a runoff,” Farrah went on to commend those who supported her at the polls this week.

“Over 3,500 voters stood with me for real legal accountability, a prosperous life, alignment for national needs, debt-free leadership, and survivor rights,” she wrote. “I entered this race while recovering from back-to-back major surgeries to expose a broken municipal system, and that is exactly what we did.

That face you make when Farrah loses by a landslide but still somehow frames it like she won…

“Thank you Austin, truly,” she added.

After pouring out some pleasantries, Farrah proceeded to give followers “the post-election reality Austin needs to hear.”

In said post-election wrap-up, she accused the District 5 incumbent of “corruption,” and accused both of her male opponents of fighting to “preserve a broken system marked by ethics violations, misuse of resources, and zero accountability.”

Farrah also demanded in her post an “overhaul of the ethics commission,” and credited her favorite person herself for educating her male opponents on “survivors laws.”

“This race forced the runoff candidates to learn and abide by statutory victim protection laws that they were completely uneducated on prior to my entry into the race,” she wrote, before concluding her message with, “HAPPY HOLIDAYS.”

“The random ‘Happy Holidays’ truly is just…chef’s kiss, Farrah!”

As of Wednesday, Farrah’s Instagram bio has been updated to denote her intention to run for Mayor of Austin in 2028.

If that announcement sounds familiar to you, it’s because Farrah declared the very same thing back in January, only to learn (while on live TV, natch) that the next election for mayor won’t be held until 2028. As a result, The Big F revised her campaign plan to run for Austin City Council District 5.

In July, the self-proclaimed “Top Female Celebrity in Our Nation” threw on some swanky candidate merch and took to social media to proudly announce that she was “officially on the ballot for November.” Farrah pushed forward with her City Council pursuits amid questions being raised about whether she was even eligible to run for the District 5 seat, per the City of Austin’s candidate residency requirements.

When you’ve lived in the state of Texas for a few years but a statue of delusion for your entire life…

In response to the ongoing confusion, Farrah maintained multiple times on social media that she’d been a District 5 resident for more than five years. However, in addition to listing two non-residences on her ballot application, she wrote “ACP Protection,” indicating that her address was being kept private from public records as part of the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP). (According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, “the ACP was created to help victims of family violence, sexual assault, and stalking keep their actual addresses confidential.” Those eligible for ACP must be a victim of family violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Individuals must also apply for ACP and have their application submitted to the Attorney General’s Office.)

Earlier this year, Farrah acknowledged her alleged ACP status in a series of Instagram Stories, where she also accused City employees, candidates, and an Austin newspaper of “trying to break survivor laws” in order to “disqualify” her from running for Austin City Council.

She did not state what she is allegedly a “survivor” of, however.

As of press time, Farrah’s candidate website remains active.

Whatever

My cat would do less damage as a mayor than Farrah.

Gemma

Do you think she has put together that coming in fourth in a four person race means she was LAST?🤔

Farah should give up the delusional aspect of anyone wanting her as a mayor. And instead maybe host a plastic surgery nightmares show?! Now thats until they fire her for that abusive horrible attitude
