It’s a girl— and another girl!— for Mackenzie Douthit and Khesanio Hall.
The Teen Mom: The Next Chapter stars announced on Wednesday that they have welcomed twin girls. The couple— who documented their IVF process and pregnancy on the most-recent season of the MTV show— told People magazine that the babies were born Monday, June 2 via C-section.
“I am so thankful to have just given birth to two beautiful and strong girls, and I can’t wait to see them grow into the queens that God desires them to be,” Mackenzie— who is also the mom of sons Gannon and Bronc and daughter Jaxie with her ex-husband Josh McKee— told the magazine.
According to Mackenzie’s posts on Instagram, the babies were born at 31.5 weeks into her pregnancy but are “fully developed” and doing well. They each measured 17 inches at birth.
Like her older kids, Mack’s twins were given very, um, unique names: Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella Hall. On Snapchat, Mackenzie explained that Ja’Kharie’s middle name “Angie” is a tribute to Mackenzie’s late mother, Angela “Angie” Douthit, and Khesanio’s mother, who both used the nickname “Angie.” She stated that Ja’Meikah’s middle name is “Angella” because that is the name of both her mom and Khesanio’s mom.
During a Q&A on Instagram in April, Mack explained that the twins would each be getting a three-syllable name (because both she and Khesanio have three-syllable names), and that the names would begin with “J,” because all of Khesanio’s mom’s grandkids have “J” names.

Anyway, Khesanio confirmed that the babies and Mackenzie are healthy following the birth. Ja’Kharie was born first at 7:08 p.m. ET, weighing 5 lbs. Her sister Ja’Meikah came three minutes later, weighing in at 5 lbs., 2 oz.
“Mackenzie has done so well with our beautiful girls and I’m super proud of her! Ja’Kharie and Ja’Meikah came out so smoothly and all three of them are doing well, thank God! This is easily the happiest day of my life!” he told the magazine.
Over the past few weeks, Mackenzie has documented her pregnancy struggles on social media. Last week, the ‘Teen Mom’ star was hospitalized after being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia.
“I have gained 20 pounds in 48 hours of water weight,” Mackenzie said in a Snapchat video on Wednesday, May 28. She also claimed that the intense swelling in her lower extremities was preventing her from being able to walk.
Mackenzie— who is a Type 1 diabetic— had high-risk, difficult pregnancies with her first three children. As for her health with this pregnancy, Mackenzie has stated that she has “great diabetic care team.” During her previous pregnancies, Mackenzie struggled to keep her diabetes under control, which resulted in her having very large babies. Her eldest son Gannon weighed 9 lbs., 7 oz. at birth, while daughter Jaxie was over 8 lbs. Mack’s third child Broncs— who had serious health issues after birth— weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs., 1 oz.
“This pregnancy is unlike the last 3,” she wrote on social media in May. “I have an insulin pump and Dexcom, along with a great diabetic care team. My sugars are not only great, but the babies are super healthy and growing perfectly.”

Photos posted by Mackneize show that the twins are currently in the NICU. Mack revealed via Instagram Stories on Wednesday that she had six hours of blood infusions so far that day but is recovering well.

Khesanio updated his Instagram on Wednesday to discuss the births of his daughters.
“On June 2nd my whole life changed when Ja’Meikah and Ja’Kharie Hall came into this world,” he wrote. “The moment I heard their cries was the moment I realized I was not in a dream and this is reality. Baby girls, I promise to love and protect you until the very day I die.
@mackenziemckee you have done so well through this pregnancy and I am super proud of you momma! I know how much you will love and care for our babies and I can’t wait to see them in 10 years then 20 then 30 and more and more!”
Mack shared some photos from the twins’ birth, as well as details of the delivery, on Snapchat.

“Welcome to the world Ja’Kharie Angie Hall and Ja’Meikah Angella Hall,” Mack wrote on Instagram. “Both named after our moms, the most beautiful ladies who mean everything to us. Born 31 1/2 weeks. 5.0 and 5.4 (lbs.) Both 17 inches long and o so beautiful. Mom and Dad are over the moon and so happy. The cries we cried when we heard those first cries. We are so in love.”
Mackenzie and Khesanio received plenty of well wishes from their ‘Teen Mom’ co-stars.
“YAYYY congratulations,” wrote Cory Wharton. “That man has a kid of his own now that’s special feeling and bond you all will have.”
“Congratulations, they are beautiful,” wrote Cheyenne Floyd.
“So beautiful!” Maci Bookout commented. “Congratulations, y’all!”

Those are BIG preemies!! My girl twins born at 34 weeks (pre-eclampsia, common with twins!) were both just over 4 lbs. each! We spent 9 days in the NICU, mostly for jaundice, & then went home with no problems. High schoolers now! 🥰 Hope all goes well with these new babies!
Mack is also a diabetic and has always had big babies.
Aw- I am really happy for all of them. He seems like a great guy who has really stepped up for Mack’s other children (unlike their sperm donor Josh) and those are AWESOME weights for 31.5 weeks! I have twins and they were born at 33 weeks, 4 days and were 4 lbs 1 oz and 4 lbs 2 oz. They are beautiful girls and I’m also glad Mack was able to get through the pregnancy basically unscathed. Glad they are all healthy and obviously very happy! Congrats to them! And the beautiful thing about names, albeit unusual, is that they can always go by shortened versions 😉 Honestly, I have heard worse ones! I do like that they used both Mack and Khesanio’s moms name within them to honor them. Very sweet
💀💀💀 At the Duggar reference!!! Glad everyone is healthy. The names are not my cup of tea, but I always tell everyone their baby names are beautiful, adorable, etc. got tired of comments when I was pregnant myself, and my kids have totally standard names (Hayley, Mason, Payton). But someone always had something to say about it lol
IM SO HAPPY for them……they deserve nothing but joy and happiness……..mac has been through so much sh** with that doped up deadbeat of an ex and fake father – josh…………….
Just because y’all were given those bland, boring names doesn’t make her wrong for the names she decided. They’re her kids. Worry about y’all own crumbsnatchers
You realize the name has nothing to do with how the kid turns out, right? A weird name that will take them months to learn how to spell doesn’t mean they’ll be unique people
I’m so relieved she and those babies are healthy. Who cares about everything else!
What’s wrong with Juliette and Jennifer? Think about the childrens future!
They have a father who is a total different nationality and I’m sure would like some of his culture in his children’s names.
Their names are beautiful, stop being so narrow minded, kids don’t have biases until society feeds it to them.
Neither of the first names they used are actually Jamaican names. They made up the names.
Are you Jamaican? Just curious.
You all are so rude..Who cares what she named her daughters. She just went through some tough times. Now God has blessed her with her precious little angels. She/they decided to honor the grandmother’s. That’s a beautiful thing, regardless if yall agree or not. Congratulations and the birth of your precious little bundles! May God bless your family always🙏♥️
P.S. don’t let anyone’s mean/rude comments ruin your joy/happiness.
Everyone hating on the names is so weird to me. Who cares? Kids get weird names all the time. Just because you don’t like the names they chose doesn’t mean you have to be nasty about it. “BuT iTs PrOnOuNcEd JaMaIcA” lots of kids have “place names”. Asia, Paris, Austin, India, London… it’s really not that weird
Beautiful kiddos.
It is such a shame that every one of Mac’s semen demons names are tragedeighs though .
I actually like Gannon’s name a lot and it’s a legitimate name. She went downhill after that, though, and it’s only gotten worse.
Convenience babies
Those are massive 31 weekers. Hope they are doing well. The names are bloody awful.
thank god she had a safe delivery but i knew she was gonna pick stupid names and not go with hillbilly names since she’s with a black islander now but ja’meikah????????
It’s pronounced Jamaica…it’s just spelled weird
Oh my gosh that makes it even worse. They could have just spelled it properly. I thought it was Ja-mee-kah.
Here’s the beauty of situation…they aren’t mine or anyone else’s kids so their names are NOBODY’S BUSINESS…all that matters is that they are happy and healthy
Yall are so rude. It’s her babies. No worse than Lux. 🤨
bffr ja’meikah for a jamaican baby is way worse than lux 😂
also it’s mean to say her baby names are stupid yet you’re mentioning another kid’s stupid name in the same sentence?
He’s from Jamaica maybe that’s what he wanted. I never once said stupid. Lux,Verse, and Valley? 🤨
Wait a minute… Isn’t Khesanio FOUR syllables? 🤔
It’s pronounced khe-sahn-yo
Ja’Scuse me?
She’s got all these hillbilly named kids and now she has another shot to give these little girls beautiful names… 2 SHOTS…. And she chokes. I can’t 😂😫
😂😂😂
Teachers are going to hate her when they get the roll call sheet. Teachers do judge these names like crazy and parents are clueless.
Im sorry but Cory’s comment bothers me so much. No need for the extra but what can we expect from that douche canoe.
Yeah. As far as I’m concerned those are his kids. He stepped up and filled the shoes to be the man they needed in their lives. From all accounts he’s doing a great job. I actually like the names more than the first two.
I agree. I had a similar situation (three kids by my sorry ex-husband and then had twins with my husband now) and my husband ended up adopting the older three, but even before that he 100% considered them his kids and he said after the twins were born that, while he enjoyed getting to experience all the things he missed with the others, he didn’t feel any different about them.
But Khess seems to be a genuinely good man, while Cory is…. Cory.
I had 3 kids before my now husband and he has helped and treated them way better than their actual father. My husband had been told for years that he would absolutely never be able to have children. Yet we ended up with 2 kids. I think I’m going back to ask that dr for college tuition for them. lol
I’m happy you and your kids got a happy ending.
I’m glad Khes and Mackenzie’s babies are healthy, but those names are AWFUL! It’s not too late to change the first names…
Even Kharie and Meikah is a massive improvement.
The “J” is a family tradition!!
You people are so mean!
Kim K’s kids have “different” names as do her sisters. People get used to them.
It’s not your child’s name so let it go & be happy they have healthy babies!
It’s not being mean, it’s being honest. Her twins are going to be relentlessly bullied.
Kim’s kids names aren’t difficult to pronounce and spell. That’s my point with Mackenzie’s twins’ names.
Exactly, “Mackenzie’s twins’ names”…yours, mine and no one else’s opinions matter on the subject.
Mack’s babies names are NOT hard to pronounce, you’re just used to white washed names. Kim LITERALLY named her child CHICAGO because that’s where her ex was from but Ja’Meikah and Ja’Kharie are a problem?
Kim gave her kids absolutely ridiculous names. Just dumb. Paltrow named her kid “Apple.”
My daughter has a girl in her class who has a Native American mother. Her name is “keyawin” pronounced Kay-ow-we. It’s not a big deal. There are children of all cultures and backgrounds at most schools. Where do you live where you think these kids are going to terrorize them because of their names?? It’s not uncommon to have names other than Jim and Mary.
First things first, I’m glad all three are doing well.
With that said, I really dislike the names. Is Ja’Meikah pronounced “Ja’Meeka” or, worse, “Jamaica”? As a twin mom, I can assure y’all that the twin moms Facebook group contains some of the worst names you can imagine.
With the perimeters they set, I can come up with Jessica, Julia, Julianne, Juniper, Jennifer, Josephine, Joanna, Johanna. They may be cultural (I don’t know), but if they are, they’re still bad together. I really dislike the overly matchy twin name trend and it’s made worse with them having almost the same middle names as well.
Loved the reference to the Duggars’ “J” names! 😆
I was ROLLING when that photo and caption popped up 🤣🤣🤣
Jesus christ, except for the middle names. Those names are fucking tragedies
I’d have to agree.😬
Anyone with a brain would agree.. EvenAngela is a tragedeigh.. Come on, mac, why do your mom’s memory so dirty??
Wait except for the middle names?! One is Angie and one is Angela (spelled wrong). That’s the same fing name! I can’t lmao
Who says it’s spelled wrong, it’s just spelled differently then the original way.
Just like my name, there are at least 3 other ways to spell it too…Karol, Karol, Carol or Carole…their may be more but those are the one’s I’ve seen.
Karol, Karole, Carol, Carole*
I don’t normally agree with you on literally anything, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. There are so many ways to spell a name and there’s NOTHING wrong with her baby’s names.
Exactly, plus they wanna sit here and talk about these girls getting bullied in school because of their names but wtf do they call what they’re doing right now when the babies are barely 24 hours old…that’s right BULLYING them (as well as the parents)!!!!
Truly hope she keeps a CLOSE eye on herself/BP/sugars while she’s postpartum and reports anything that’s off to her doctors.
