Scheana Shay Reveals How Husband Brock Davies Reacted to What She Wrote About His Affair in Her Memoir

“Scandal’s sell books…and Scheana’s gotta eat!”

Scheana Shay spilled a lot of tea about her husband’s affair in her new book and, according to Scheana, Brock was on-board with said tea-spilling.

In a new interview with People, the former Vanderpump Rules star revealed that, while she offered husband Brock Davies the opportunity to read what she wrote about his affair in her memoir before she submitted it, Brock declined and gave her free rein to “say whatever” she wanted to say about his infidelity.

As The Ashley previously told you, Scheana revealed in her newly released book, My Good Side, that while she was pregnant with daughter Summer Moon in 2021, Brock engaged in a physical affair– one that she didn’t learn about until 2023 when Brock finally opened up about the infidelity to her.

Scheana told People this week that while she went “back and forth” on whether or not she wanted to reveal Brock’s affair to the public, once she decided to include it in her memoir, she initially wanted to “be vague” about the details, but ultimately decided to rewrite the chapter. After making the changes, Scheana said she asked Brock if he wanted to read what she planned to submit, but Brock declined.

“He said, ‘No, this is your story to tell. I don’t want to steer you one way or the other. Say whatever you want to say, it’s your book,’” Scheana told the outlet.

Scheana also revealed that Brock only recently read her account of his affair, which led to an emotional conversation between the two.

“I think he didn’t realize truly how hurt I was and how much I was struggling until he read it,” she said. “That was hard for both of us. There’ve been quite a few tears in the last couple of weeks in the Davies house, but ultimately, we had a very heartfelt, tearful conversation.”

As The Ashley previously told you, when Brock finally revealed his affair to Scheana in 2023, the couple had already welcomed daughter Summer and had been legally married for more than two years after secretly tying the knot in 2021. (The couple went on to have a large wedding in Mexico in 2022, which was filmed for ‘Vanderpump Rules.’)

Brock also dropped the infidelity bomb on the heels of Scandoval– the months-long affair between ‘Vanderpump Rules’ cast members Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss– as well as the restraining order that Rachel filed against Scheana in March 2023, which was eventually dropped. In her memoir, Scheana recalls this time being “one of the most stressful and uncertain periods of my entire life,” before going on to describe her reaction to the news of Brock’s affair.

“My whole body froze, and I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he’d cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,” she writes.

Brock, who fathered two children with his ex-wife, allegedly went on to admit to Scheana that at the time of his affair, he was “scared about being a father again, specifically about whether or not he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else.”

Scheana maintains that Brock “chose” to have the affair, noting in her memoir that it “was very much a conscious decision.”

“No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed,” she writes, revealing later in the chapter that she “wanted details” about the affair. “ … I had to know who the woman was and why he’d so blatantly betrayed me, particularly during such a vulnerable period in my life.”

“Go on, Brittany…give him a good ‘RAWT IN HAIL’ for me!”

Scheana went on to learn that the woman Brock had an affair with was someone he had known before meeting Scheana and that the two had reconnected after seeing each other outside of the gym, at which point they began a “brief affair.” Brock also provided other details about what had occurred, including how many times and where he and the woman had slept together.

As for why she ultimately chose to include Brock’s affair (as well as certain details about it) in her memoir, Scheana said she considers the incident “a huge part” of her story and something that has shaped who she is “as a wife, as a mother, as a friend, as a TV persona.”

“If I did not share this catastrophic thing that happened in my life, then I’m not being authentic,” she added.

  1. What a surprise a man that could abandon his kids living in another country then goes on to do another shitty thing. So shocked 🙄

  2. Yes, everyone has affairs while their wives are pregnant. Imma scared..bullshit. He could have seriously hurt the baby by transferring an std. selfish bastard. My husband was scared to have sex with me during pregnancy. I don’t think that’s really that uncommon. He was also told he would never have kids. Which probably added to the stress. He sure as hell didn’t go sleep around.

    1. I think the difference is you are married to a whole grown ass man, who tries to protect his wife and child. Versus Brock who is a stunted domestic abuser who thinks with his little head like a teenage boy.

Ps, glad you got a good one

  3. “He loved it! We’re both so pathetic and desperate for fame and attention we were giddy while I was telling my ghost writer what happened!!! Dancing with the stars here I come!!!!!!!
