There may be some rumblings that Teen Mom: The Next Chapter is not done (The Ashley will have more on that soon), but Amber Portwood insists that she’s done filming for the show, due to the “disgusting” actions of the producers the last time she filmed.
Last week during one of Amber’s many (many) TikTok Live sessions, the unofficial Lazy Boy spokesperson revealed the reason she no longer wants to film for the show.
“What they did with my daughter, when they had her text me, that whole bullcrap situation they planned to get me to have a reaction? It was disgusting,” Amber— who was decked out in PJs that were a delightful shade of “Prison Orange”— stated.
Amber is referring to a scene that aired during the finale episode of the most-recent season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, in which Amber “randomly” received a text from her estranged teen daughter, Leah. Cameras just happened to be rolling as Amber saw the text come in from Leah, and captured her surprise in seeing it, as Leah has been no-contact with her mom for a long time.
Leah basically informed Amber in the text that she made the decision to cut contact all on her own, and that she was not influenced by anyone to do so.
Amber quickly realized that she had been set-up and was not happy, causing her to turn and speak directly into the camera to Leah, calling her ‘rude’ and ‘disrespectful.’
During her recent TikTok Live, Amber stated that this was the final straw for her dealing with MTV.
“That was the end of it!” Amber said. “I was done after that. That was the last time I ever filmed with them.”
During the same Live, Amber talked about how what airs on the show affects how people treat her.
“I’m dealing with the consequences! Not [the producers]! If we make mistakes, we’re dealing with the consequences, either right then and there, or later on. It’s always going to be that way,” Amber stated. “The only thing I can tell you is the number one thing that MTV can never say about me: I was never honest.
(To be fair, The Ashley believes Amber meant to say that MTV can’t ever say she wasn’t honest…although her saying it the way that she did is kind of ironic.)
Amber went on to say that MTV can never state that they had to tell her what to do on camera, or that producers had to write her storylines.
Amber then switched to bragging about how famous she is.
“Look up ‘celebrity birthdays’ and I’m on there,” she said. “You look up Cameo, I’m on there. Actually, I’ve been on there. I was one of the first ones to go on there, actually.”
Amber went on to insist that she has always been in control of what she filmed, stating, “There is probably so much footage of me literally saying to them, ‘Get the F out of my house!'”
As The Ashley previously reported, the state of ‘Next Chapter’ is currently unknown, although there have been mentions of filming by several cast members over the last week or two. Amber has stated that she has quit the show; however, she is still under her ‘Next Chapter’ contract, and will be for one year following the airing of that final episode— so she is not allowed to appear on any other TV show, do live appearances, etc. without Paramount’s written permission. You know what’s disgusting, Amber? Your behavior in general, and towards your daughter in particular. Go away, nobody likes you and you won’t be missed.
The only thing I can agree with is that yes, she was totally set up for humiliation with the text from Leah.
The rest of her life, including her daughter not wanting to be around her and her having custody of 0 of her kids…is fully on her.
Yeah it’s easier to blame Leah or Gary or MTV or her mental illnesses, than it is to self reflect and take some accountability.

and amber bffr being in cameo is not the flex u think it is, if a celebrity is on cameo it’s not because they’re thriving it’s because it’s a cash grab when they’re desperate for money and anybody can be on famous birthdays which is what i think she meant 😂😂

Holy shit! For once I agree with Amber, but I will add to it, not only the producers of that show are pure white trash, but so are the girls, especially Maci and Catelyn, and their husbands.
have to agree with only that part because everybody loves to say reality tv is scripted yet when someone does something the audience doesn’t like they get all the hate for it when a lot of the times it was encouraged or u were told by the producers to do that. i remember kail on the teen mom trash talk podcast even said this that the producers “encouraged” her to make her relationship with jordan facebook official and back then since the show was brand new she thought that mean she had to do it, but in amber’s case i think she actually is a dick 99% of the time

Astronomical levels of delusion. Now she is taking credit for Cameo, too? Nobody will miss Amber’s storyline! It will actually be a breath of fresh air to watch Leah and her real mother Kristina live life without the shadow of Amber hovering above them.
Please. Amber quit because Gary quit protecting Amber and quit trying to guilt Leah into having a relationship with her abusive and absent biological mother. Leah was finally free to say what has been on her heart. She was finally able to make a decision herself to put a boundary in place because she was tired of Amber’s bullshit. My hope is that they have been able to move forward and have Leah’s real mother, Kristina adopt her.
Amber needs to get over herself. She isn’t famous. She is infamous. Two very different things. She got knocked up and was on a reality show that enabled her to sit her ass on her couch and make millions. Amber just needs to fade into her couch because no one cares to listen to her illogical rantings.
Amber, “final straw”, too funny. The poor dear girl, she’s finally realized MTV and it’s parent company keep her on the payroll because she’s the worst type of realty television entertainment. The last animal anyone would associate with Amber “Ambien” Portwood is a leopard. She is much more accurately a poison toad who just sits in one spot and waits for its prey to come to her and touch or lick her and then she watches as they try to get away before they die.
While I do feel like MTV sets up scenarios for drama, maybe….just maybe due to her friggin LIVES and constant blaming Gary , Leah decided set the record straight and defend the people who have given her constant stability. she will still get a check but you and I will be paying for her couch sitting from now on.. she will claim mental issuses and get disability checks now…. she set it all up for this reason..
She would have to see state provided professionals (not her choice!) who are the only ones the state will allow to diagnose her (and the number of them is severely limited in many states). Then she’d have to go through all of the testing, checkups, visits and diagnosis/medicate process as well, AND actually take the medication-plus, at the very least, yearly reporting (in her case, likely more often at first and work up to yearly). She isn’t willing to do any of that, she’s already said it before, quite a few times. She thinks they won’t give her the diagnosis or treatment she “wants”, so she sticks with whoever she’s already seeing, because they tell her what she wants to hear.
There was a time when getting disability for mental health condition was a lot easier for some people (or at least seemed to be) but that time is no longer. There are a lot of hoops and red tape, and she can’t be assed to do any of that, lol. She isn’t unemployable, which she’d also have to prove. She’d be perfectly employable and able bodied if she took her meds. She’d have to prove she isn’t, and Indiana ain’t playing with that shit.
