A Sibling Melee, a Medical Emergency & More: WeTV Announces New Season of ‘The Braxtons’; Watch the Season 2 Trailer

Buckle up for another season with the Braxtons!

Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Evelyn Braxton are returning for another season of The Braxtons next month that is promising to be “bigger, bolder and realer than ever.”

In WeTV’s trailer for Season 2, the Braxtons tell viewers they are excited to be back so that they can “remind everybody else why they fell in love” with their family in the first place. Speaking of love, the upcoming season will follow along as Towanda plans the wedding of her dreams to fiancé Sean Hall. However, Season 2 will also have plenty of drama— from sibling squabbles to a serious medical emergency.

In the trailer, Ms. Evelyn is shown happily throwing her support behind Towanda’s relationship with Sean.

“I’ve seen people in love, but this is IN LOVE!” Ms. Evelyn (literally) sings in the trailer.

While Ms. Evelyn is all in on celebrating Towanda’s impending nuptials, other family members are left trying to fit the pre-wedding festivities into their busy schedules.

“Clear your schedules and get ready to celebrate ME! Oh, and my husband-to-be.”

“Ms. Toni Braxton! Can’t wait to see you for the bridal shower,” Towanda tells her sister over the phone, to which Toni reveals, “I’m not even in Atlanta now. I’m in Miami.”

As the clip goes on, Towanda notes that “tensions are at an all-time high” within the Braxton family and that it’s time for her to “draw a line.”

“ … and it’s not a line in the sand, it’s a line in the concrete,” she adds.

Viewers see that tension continue when Tamar welcomes niece Ashlee Braxton, daughter of Michael Braxton Jr., onto her podcast to address “family rumors.” According to Yahoo, the 32-year-old alleged in a two-part TikTok posted in December that the partner of one of her aunts sent her inappropriate messages when she was 16 years old, ultimately causing the unnamed aunt to stop speaking to her.

“I have this family, we have this name,” Ashlee says in the trailer. “We have this legacy, am I going to destroy it by what I’m saying?”

The Season 2 trailer also features a Braxton family blowup that includes shouting, drink throwing and an altercation that nearly turns physical.

The Braxton family (nearly) brawling in Season 2…

Following the “explosive emotional confrontation,” viewers see the show’s crew searching the house for one of the Braxton family members, before cutting to the outside of a hospital, where someone is being treated for a “medical emergency.”

This season will also see Toni return to the series as a full-time cast member, instead of “just a friend to the show.” Viewers will also watch as Toni and her family mourn the loss of musician Angie Stone, who was tragically killed in a car crash in March of this year.

Season 2 of ‘The Braxtons’ premieres Friday, October 10 on WeTV, with episodes also streaming on ALLBLK. Watch the trailer below.

  1. So not one mention of Tracy in the show but they have airtime to morn Angie Stone? Poor Tracy left out in the cold in life and death.
