Christine Brown Says She & Husband David Woolley Get Sick of Talking About Her Ex Kody Brown on ‘Sister Wives’: “I’m So Over It”

“Not gonna lie, though, it is fun to poke fun at that mop on his head!”

Christine Brown and husband David Woolley say they’ve reached their limit on talking about Christine’s ex-husband, Kody Brown, with the couple revealing this week that they’d prefer their conversations on Sister Wives to be far-less focused on the “father” of 18.

Christine and David shared this (lukewarm) take while speaking with David’s daughter Kati this week on social media. During the conversation, Kati told her dad and Christine that a fan wanted to know how much the couple talk about Kody outside of the show, or if they talk about him at all when the cameras are down.

“We talk about Kody on the show ‘cause there’s always questions [being asked by producers] about him and things like that,” Christine explained. “But our day-to-day life? No … the only thing we talk about is [that] we just wish he was there for my kids, there for our kids. So, that’s what’s hard.”

“Are you saying I’m NOT a main character in your marriage?! There goes my other kidney… “

As fans know, Christine has been very vocal in recent years about her ex-husband’s parental shortcomings, largely due to the fact that Kody continues to be estranged from most of his children. (Kody’s other ex-wives, Janelle and Meri, have also publicly called out Kody’s flawed fathering on more than one occasion.)

As the couple’s conversation with Kati continued, David echoed Christine’s comments, insisting that they talk about Kody “only when it comes to the set” of ‘Sister Wives.’ When Kati asked the couple if they ever “get sick of” having these chats about Kody, even if they are only happening while filming, Christine revealed that they actually make her “angry.”

“Oh, no I do [get sick of it], I get angry,” she said.

“If we’re gonna talk about that chucklehead, there better be a paycheck in it for us!”

The mom of six went on to specifically call out the conversations she was forced to have about her ex-husband during the Season 19 Tell-All, many of which made her “furious.”

“I was furious ‘cause it was all these questions about, ‘Your life with Kody and blah, blah, blah,’” she recalled. “And they asked me about his hair, and his sweat and all this stuff.

Christine, regarding any producer who made her think about– and talk about— Kody’s sweat…probably.

“I’m all [like], ‘So, I’m married, I don’t know if you know I’m married,’” she continued. “I don’t think about [Kody] and I don’t talk about him.”

Christine claimed that she was so frustrated following the Season 19 Tell All that once she finished filming, she immediately called David to vent about the experience.

“I’m like, ‘All they wanted to talk about is my relationship with Kody and what went wrong and all that,’” she said.

What went wrong in Kody and Christine’s relationship…

“I’m so over it, ‘cause I don’t go into that world … I don’t exist there,” Christine added.

As fans of ‘Sister Wives’ saw in the Season 20 trailer, Christine and David not only talk about Kody this season, but each has a face-to-face interaction with him as well. Viewers can expect to see David and Kody’s (presumably awkward) guys’ day at the racetrack this season; meanwhile, Christine is set to serve as a stop on Kody’s ex-wife apology tour.

New episodes of ‘Sister Wives’ air Sundays on TLC.

Not gonna lie, I say Kody like Momma Tott does in my every day life, and it was really hard to say it normal #sisterwives#christinebrown#davidwoolley

  1. I fluctuate between empathy and apathy for Christine.

Though I didn’t birth six of his children, I was in a long term relationship with an emotionally abusive partner and when the relationship ended, it took years for me to work through the emotional trauma. (I imagine it would have been even more challenging to have six permanent ties with my “ex.”)

I didn’t have a large platform (or a licensed therapist); my poor friends listened patiently to me as I verbally processed everything I’d experienced.

I get that this is her job—but it’s time for her to find a new career; it cannot be healthy for her new marriage to be continuously reliving her old relationship. And so publicly.

  2. ummm hello your on the show u where once married to that man of course ur going to be talking about kody lol sorry but its better then u making out with david the way u do

  3. What did Christine think was going to happen if she signed on for another season with the show? Absolutely she adds fuel to the fire and I think she gets off on it. Janelle pretty well just rolls with the punches and laughs it off. And I am also willing to bet she is glad to have some distance away from Christine, who thrives on drama. For the sake of all of the kids, put an end to the show. And Christine, move on and shut up.

  4. I think the show has reached the end of its run but Ex-Sister Wives featuring Meri, Janelle and Christine would be worth watching. I love Janelle and her can’t give two flying farts about K & R attitude, Truely is as cool as they come, David getting under Christine’s skin is amusing and seeing Meri reclaiming her life and happy is a welcome change. Now that would be more interesting than watching K & R eat and talk about monogamy and snippets of the OG 3 lives.

    1. Yes! Kody eating-whatever that was that he was eating-while using his knife as a fork, chewing incessantly…that was truly stomach-turning in the first episode of the new season. Nobody wants to see that. All while talking about the s3x he is or is not getting, and dreaming of the one, to him, advantage of adding a new younger and shyer wife..🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

    2. No thank you. All I could see would be Christine still harping on Kody and Robyn. Janelle just rolls with the punches and Meri….she still puzzles me. But a program just about them? No thank you.

    3. I would Really enjoy that, But hay TLC do you know what I would Enjoy more? If you told the Truth, Sherrie Caneron Gas A Wrapp Sheet longer then most From drug possession with intent to traffic to Assault with a weapon Where she Carved a young Woman’s Face up with a Beer Bottle that she grabbed off a table broke it into a weapon and gave 1 young Women 137 stitches to her face,,,,,

  5. Janelle just said in the latest episode that she left Kody 2 years ago, plus whatever time has passed since they filmed that, and then Christine left well before that.
Christine has been remarried for a long time now.
So it’s been 3-4 years at this point.
Yet she JUST released a book about it all.
It doesn’t feel ‘empowered’ anymore, it feels a bit bitter, it’s time to draw a line and let the anger that she doesn’t realise she is still projecting actually go, and stop talking about it, stop doing interviews and podcasts in the present about it.

  6. She always talks about him, never stops
She even talked to all the kids about him, always putting him down in front of the kids.
I know he’s a a**hole but that isn’t a excuse to always put your kids in the middle of their feuding parents.

  7. BS, She is the one who keeps on talking about Kody this and Kody that. You don’t see the other wives putting stories out about him every other day.
