Savannah Chrisley — and her family— is responding to critics after announcing her marriage and first pregnancy with Jason Galanis, a 56-year-old federal felon.
For those who don’t know, Savannah announced last week that she was expecting her first baby with Jason, who she simultaneously revealed as her fiancé. Just days later, she confirmed that she and Jason are actually already married, following a small ceremony in the Cayman Islands in July. (The ceremony occurred after Savannah found out she was pregnant and about five months after she and Jason started dating.)
On Monday, Savannah posted an Instagram reel of her and Jason cutting open a gender reveal cake alongside Savannah’s family to announce the sex of their baby.
“IT’S A BOY!!!” she captioned the post. “My sweet miracle boy… you are everything we prayed for and more. The most beautiful reminder that God’s plans are always greater than our own.”
Savannah then went on to seemingly reference the backlash she’s been facing over her 28-year age gap marriage with Jason, claiming that she wants to shield her son from “every bit of darkness in this world.”
“The past few days have reminded me just how cruel this world can be. But no amount of hate could ever overshadow the joy of loving you. You are a MIRACLE.”
Over the weekend, Savannah posted a story on Instagram from the Mar-A-Lago Club to lightly address the criticism and share her thoughts following her pregnancy, engagement and marriage announcement.
“This world can be so incredibly cruel,” she wrote. “People can be quick to judge, quick to condemn, and slow to show grace. But as I sit here looking out at God’s beautiful creation, I’m reminded of something so much greater than the noise around me … The world may try to steal your peace, but it can never take away what God has promised you.”

“I’ve learned that you don’t have to defend what God has already ordained,” Savannah added. “You don’t have to fight every battle, answer every accusation, or convince the world of what God already knows to be true.”
She said she’s pursuing the “greatest act of faith” by continuing to choose “love when you’re met with hate.” She concluded her post by thanking Jesus for giving her “a peace this world could not give and a love this world cannot take away.”

Savannah’s father Todd Chrisley is also coming to his daughter’s defense on his podcast with his son Grayson and mother Faye, Two Sons and Me.
“Savannah’s strong, but she’s also pregnant, so her hormones are up and down, and it was sad to hear her say, ‘This was supposed to be a beautiful thing,’” he said. “Then there’s all this negativity around it, but I said, ‘Sweetie, it’s still a beautiful thing. You’re choosing to allow the negativity to come into your life.’”
Grayson said that he’s been “angry” seeing all the backlash towards his sister, even when he tries to block out the hate.
“You can say whatever you want about you, you can say whatever you want about me. I don’t care. I know you’re full of s**t,” he said to the critics. “I know you have no life; I know you’re a loser. I don’t care. But when it’s Savannah or Mama or somebody like that, it pisses me off so bad and I just want to go back to everybody.”

Despite only being one year older than Jason, Todd is (now) a fan of Savannah’s secret suitor. In fact, The Ashley reported that the father and son-in-law duo served time together at FPC Pensacola– both convicted for fraud– before President Donald Trump commuted both of their sentences.
Jason’s brother Derek, however, is not a fan of his brother and spoke to Page Six to echo similar concerns to Savannah, saying starting a family with her is “his biggest con yet” and that “the girl’s in for a rocky ride.”
Jason has yet to respond to his brother’s claims nor fan backlash. Watch a clip from Todd and Grayson’s podcast below.
